Quiet cozy stay

Beautiful quiet area. Home had everything you need for your stay. The beds were comfortable and appreciated the use of the boats. Taya had great communication.

We loved it here! It is soo peaceful. The host was so sweet and accommodating. It had everything we needed. We will be booking again! Loved that we were able to bring our boat and be able to walk right out back to it.

Great place to stay!

This property was probably the best value dollar for dollar of any VRBO I've rented. The owners are responsive and friendly. The cabin is well maintained and the dock is plenty big to fish off. I will definitely rent here again.

The neighbors were friendly and the area was peaceful. We were able to relax indoors and outdoors. We utilized the boat slip and enjoyed river time too. We had family join us for the day and they loved it as well. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The rentors were great and we hope to stay again soon.

relaxing and solitude

We loved staying on the river. The owner came by and gave us some wood to burn in the fire pit. We were there to hike and enjoy the color of the leaves. We had perfect weather. The residents there in the community were friendly and helpful. Our only problem was finding the place. The owner had to come meet us and guide us.

Good time foshing

Enjoyed fishing and relaxing on the patio. House needed cleaning. A have a small dog and she keep finding plastic and other things under the bed. There were decorative pillows on the beds that had stains on them. The oven was really dirty. The dryer had a knob broken on it which didn't matter to us since we did not use the washer or dryer. Everyone was very friendly.

Our favorite place for simplicity

We have stayed here about 10 times over the past several years. We absolutely love it. It has all the necessity for river fun. We bring the boat because it has its own dock, we bring the 4wheelers, and the kayaks. Its safe for the kids. Everyone is super nice, and you might be invited to a cook out or 2. We have enjoyed cooking out with the grill, we have enjoyed the fire pit at night. Kids have enjoyed fishing. And a perfect quiet cove for the kiddos to play in the river if you bring boat or jet ski. We are definitely partial to this place as we got engaged out on the river bank. We have never run into a problem, and the host is always a phone call away. They are the friendliest of people. We call this our home away from home!

Relaxing & Quiet

I was a bit hesitant to book this trailer due to some of the reviews, but it all came together once we stayed. Pros: We love the serenity, peace and quiet! It was cozy and quaint. The lake and property were beautiful with friendly people in the community. We love having the paddleboat to enjoy some time on the water. Owner communication was quick and helpful before our stay and the owner seems quite nice. Clear communication about directions since I can see how it would be easy to get lost. There was wood in the fire pit with lighter fluid on-site. The grill was great for grilling on a beautiful Spring night. Fishing is pretty good, even off the dock (albeit it's a bit awkward because the rails) and we saw some pretty large bass and catfish. Cons: We had to clean A LOT and still under the beds and the oven were pretty dirty (we cleaned walls, the washer, light switches, the kitchen, and bathroom). There's also cobwebs all over. There was rotten food in the fridge drawers. You can't your flush toilet paper. There was no key to lock the door, so we didn't get to leave the property. It's a bit too pricey considering the accommodations. Overall, we always appreciate people who make the investment for places such as these so that we can have the opportunity to enjoy places we might not been able to had they not. If you have well-managed expectations then you'll definitely be fine and enjoy yourself!

Stay Away!

Arrived 5.00pm on the 17th of April after a 9-hour drive. No keys in key box. Several attempts phone and e-mail to Taya. Finally contact, she would send her husband with keys. He informed me that many keys had been taken by previous guest and he had tried for quite some time to get a locksmith out to change the locks. There were noticeable pry marks where the door had been forced open. (That helped us rest easy at night.). Also, previous guest had just departed, and he thought they might have been Taya's family. (What happened to one day between guest for cleaning/sterilize?) Husband immediately went to dryer and informed us towels and sheets would be dry shortly???? Then informed me washer doesn't work he had been trying for months to find the part. (We had planned 7 days on the river washing clothes was a given.) As he was leaving, I pointed out the large pile of old dog s___ at the bottom of the stairs, he laughed. Additionally, fire pit had not been cleaned. First night there couldn't sleep as there was some critter trying to eat their way thru the ceiling. At daylight it stopped. My wife was cooking breakfast eggs/bacon and turned-on exhaust fan over stove. Debris fell into the skillet and birds began to scream. Birds had nested and hatched in the stove hood. Debris was birds__t and pieces of nest. Moving a cutting board leaned up against the wall next to the stove revealed bird spatter and debris. The pictures of the dock are not accurate. The platform shown on the left as you look out to the water is no longer there. (Forget sitting out there and putting a line in the water.) The walkway out to the dock has the spring of a diving board. There is an odor throughout the trailer. The mold smell in the closet was overwhelming. Couldn't figure out the other until Thursday the 21st. Upon removing the trash Bag in the bedroom trashcan, I discovered the dried remains of someone's puke. We packed and departed forfeiting 3 days prepaid rent. Taya E-mailed several times since telling me it had been fixed and we should come back. That will Never happen! Kevin

Kevin's group sent a msg that they were unable to get in property on Easter Sunday. I sent my husband immediately to ensure they were able to access property. The mention of towels in the dryer was simply an FYI so they would have plenty of towels for the week. I've never noticed or had guests complain about a mold scent. They left the property before notifying me of the sound of birds in the vent. On their way out' they mentioned that they were leaving due to the sound of birds in the vent. I reported this to the owner and they came immediately and removed the birds nest from the vent. I am saddened that the guest.failed to report the complaint of the birds earlier in the week so we could have remedied the situation sooner. As for the mention of dog waste at the bottom of the exterior stairs, on stairs were clear the day before upon cleaning. A neighborhood dog must have left a surprise that day. I do feel that we did all we could do to ensure the comfort of the guest. We checked on them the day after check out and were told all was well. Their review is disappointing and confusing

Magnifique

Notre hôte était exceptionnel. Nous ne trouvions pas le logement alors il est venu nous chercher pour nous emmener à la maison. Le logement est parfaitement placé, au bord de l’eau. Nous avons pu profiter de la terrasse et admirer le coucher et lever du soleil. Le séjour était reposant.

Just what we needed

The only drawback to getting to the property is there is limited phone service in the area. My husband had looked at google maps before we left home so we were able to find our way without too much difficulty. The neighborhood streets are a little confusing at first but accessible. The view from the back deck is beautiful. The inside was clean and very comfortable for two to four people. The property owner was more than helpful taking care of our needs. We would definitely stay there again.

Great Setting

Great comfortable secluded property. The lake and paddle boat were so much fun. The property was quiet and perfect for a relaxing get away. Would love to come back and stay longer!
