Ce sera le deuxième GoldSky Cottage à West Cape. Le premier se trouve juste de l’autre côté de la rue, au 107 Second Avenue (VRBO 922755). Les deux sont situés dans le quartier historique de la belle West Cape May. Il s’agit d’une maison neuve avec une façade entièrement restaurée de 1860. La maison sera meublée et équipée de manière très similaire à 107 (voir la liste ci-dessus pour les photos). Aucune dépense ne sera épargnée et la maison dormira confortablement jusqu'à douze personnes avec une table de salle à manger de 4 'x 12', une grande cuisine et une grande salle familiale. Il y aura une terrasse à deux étages à l’arrière de la maison ainsi qu’une piscine creusée chauffée de 12 x 26 et une cour clôturée. Il y aura deux suites de maître privées avec lits king size, une au premier étage et une au deuxième. Également au deuxième étage, vous trouverez une autre chambre avec un lit king-size et une chambre avec un lit queen-size et une salle de bains commune ainsi qu’une chambre avec lits superposés pour quatre personnes et une salle de bains privative.

Cape May Vacation

We loved staying in the beautiful 5 bedroom house close to shops and beach. We loved the pool which is difficult to find in Cape May! We had a fabulous breakfast at Dock Mike’s steps away from the house. The property was well-maintained and everything was in perfect condition. We highly recommend this property and would stay here again! The owner was great with communication too. My only complaint (not the owners fault) is that you have to bring your own sheets & towels in the state of New Jersey.

All that we needed and more

Just a lovely home in quiet neighborhood within minutes of everything. Rich, the owner, was terrific and extremely responsive to any questions or needs. The home is bright and cheery, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The pool which we choose to heat due to cooler evening temperatures was clean and a real treat to have. We had our fur baby with us - a golden doodle - and the fenced in yard was perfect for him. Lots of amenities. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful new home in West Cape May

We really enjoyed the week we spent at 108 Second Avenue Labor Day week. It's a brand new house with plenty of space, lovely decor, and a pool (a true luxury in Cape May.) It's a beautiful and quiet neighborhood to walk around, and a quick 5 minute drive to the ocean and to the downtown shopping and restaurants. The homeowner, Richard, was easy to reach and communicative. Our only critique is that we wished there were some starter supplies available to us like toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels so that we didn't need to rush out to buy them immediately. It would also be a nice amenity if they could supply some beach chairs for their guests to use. Otherwise, we loved our time in this home and would happily book here again in the future.

So sorry about the lack of supplies. Our policy is to leave two rolls on each bathroom, a liquid soap in each bathroom, a dish soap in the kitchen along with paper towels. When I contacted the owner of the cleaning service they said our supplies we had laid in for the summer had just run out but they neglected to let me know. So sorry for the inconvenience. Next time please let me know and we would have had some sent right over. We don't supply beach chairs because they very quickly get lost, stolen or broken and then when guests arrive what they expect isn't there.

Thanks to this lovely home, we had a wonderful week at the beach! The house was perfect for us -- our family (2 grandparents, 2 parents, 1 five-year old) plus several friends. Cooks among us were very pleased with the kitchen. They liked the layout and appliances, including outdoor grill. The kitchen was generously stocked with pots and pans, dishes and glasses, and utensils. The swimming pool was a nice size and a popular hangout, with a choice of sunny seating by the pool or nearby shaded seating on the porch overlooking the pool. There's also a nice front porch and 2 of the upstairs bedrooms have balconies, so even with a full house there were lots of opportunities for a couple to have a quiet breakfast or for someone to hide away to read (or even work!). The location was great -- the house is on a pretty and quiet street but just a short walk from a couple of restaurants including a pancake house plus a great ice cream shop. Both before and during our stay, our Host was gracious and quick to respond when we had a question. The house comes with 2 private parking spaces and our friends had no trouble finding street parking. The house and grounds are well-maintained - one morning someone came to mow the lawn and, as we were leaving, a friendly young man came to clean the pool and had a very cute dialog with our granddaughter. At the end of our stay, everyone agreed they would be happy to come back to Cape May and in particular happy to come back to this house!

Comfortable house - But Bring Your Own Linens!

We found the property comfortable and well supplied with most amenities, EXCEPT that we learned only a few days before our arrival that we needed to bring our own sheets and towels. This was not stated in the property listing (at least not in any visible way we were able to find). We only discovered this because one extra-inquisitive member of our group read about it in a prior review. A quick text to the property owner confirmed, and we were frantically checking to see if any of us had king size beds. None of us did, so we quickly ordered 5 sets of sheets from Amazon for next day delivery. Other than that, our stay was enjoyable and uneventful. We had a minor issue with the WiFi cutting out during our first day there, but the owner was very responsive and the issue was resolved quickly. Our only other complaint was that the kitchen sink faucet was very loose and wobbled around when used. Once fixed, this should not be a problem for future renters. We found it very annoying, however. The property location is on a nice, quiet street, about a 5-10 minute walk from the center of Cape May. We found this a nice compromise between being in the center of things and having peace and quiet. There are some restaurants and shops only a block or two away (some right out the back gate) which was convenient. The walk to the beach was not bad, but we weren’t carrying much. Overall, we would stay again at this property and recommend it to others. Just be sure to pack sheets!

Glad you enjoyed your stay. The faucet issue is being taken care of on Saturday, which is our first opportunity to visit the site since the end of the season. It must have just happened because no other guests made mention of the problem. The sheet and towel issues is listed on the site in the amenity section but more importantly is the reason, local law doesn't allow any homeowner in Cape May and West Cape May to provide them. It was an arrangement made many years ago between the local homeowners and the local hotels and motels to create differentiation. Please come join us again.

Christmas Spectacular!

This was our second time in 2 years celebrating Christmas in Cape May and this gorgeous home did not disappoint! Description and photos are exactly as advertised but the photos don’t do the home the justice it deserves because it is so much prettier in person! The home has been extensively remodeled and done very well. Big, open kitchen and living room with a huge kitchen table. The custom chandelier is unbelievable! Plenty of room for 10 people and 2 dogs. The fences in backyard was perfect for the dogs. Quiet street and an easy 10 min stroll to downtown. Would definitely rent this home again. Richard was very easy to work with and responded immediately to all questions.

Beautiful house!

Our group of (6) high school (1973) friends started an annual get together for a non stressful week of rest and relaxation. It was my turn to pick the spot and I picked Cape May. The home was lovely, on a nice quiet street, walking distance to everything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I didn't read the fine print where we had to bring our own sheets and towels! There was a shopping center 10 minutes away so all was good. We had a good laugh about and it to started our week off right. I would recommend this home its spacious, clean and the Host Richard was wonderful!!

Perfect house for family vacations

This spacious, beautiful home is perfect for family vacations. The color palate is very peaceful and furnishings comfortable. Had a great family get-together in Cape May for a few days. This new house is perfectly designed for a group get-together. Walking distance to everything. Richard was a pleasure to deal with and always responsive to any questions. We'll be back!

This house raises the bar for ALL OTHERS

This house has everything you could possibly want for a perfect family vacation getaway! It’s beautiful on the inside and out, with so much attention to details. It’s well stocked with top of the line cookware, a phenomenal selection of teas, spices and more. The heated pool was enjoyed by the whole family. The beds were comfortable and decor was superb. The location is blocks to the beach and only a 10 minute walk to Washington St., Mall. No expense was spared, we lived like royalty. We hope to book this beautiful house again!
