This is so relaxing and beautiful. The deck alone is worth the price. This place is perfection, the nearby town is cute and it is close to the marina and lake.

Very cozy, and clean cabin. Peaceful area to relax. Home owner was very polite, and responded to questions quickly. I would definitely stay there again.

Very beautiful, private property.The house is very clean with all the most important items for a vacation.I was surprised by how clean the kitchen, bathroom was.Joanna really wanted us to have the best time . As soon as we arrived we found a WELCOME surprise in a refrigerator and a lovely note from the property owner. After we settled in we received a message from Joanna asking if we really don’t need anything.We also found a binder on a table with activities, restaurants and many other recommendations for what we can do in Murphysboro and around that area.Unbelievable ! We are so impressed and we definitely will come back. Thank you Joanna.

Beautiful, Peaceful Retreat

We had a wonderful time at this property and the owners went above and beyond to make our stay fantastic. They provided so much information about the area - even hand drawn maps to find a local waterfall. They were easy to work with. The views were spectacular and the kitchen was well stocked. The only small issue we had (and it had something to do with the time of year) is that we didn't really find the lake accessible for fishing. If we'd been willing to get really muddy and if a steep hill was easier to navigate for me, we technically could have fished from the bank. But we fished from a pier at a nearby park, so it was no problem.

Beautiful location, with wildlife right off the deck! Short drive to lots of local restaurants. The hosts are amazing! They go out of their way to make you feel welcomed, provided great information about things to do, places to eat and visit. Perfect for a couple wanting to escape life for a few days! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Slice of Heaven

This wooded chalet was exactly what we needed for a beautiful fall getaway. Off the beaten path enough that you feel secluded, yet close enough to all the activities we had planned. We found ourselves on the deck staring off at the scenery and never wanting to leave. Thank you for sharing this experience with us!

It was a beautiful little house surrounded by woods. Gorgeous deck overlooking the lake. Secluded. We loved the floor to ceiling windows and the awesome kitchen. Very clean

Private, quiet Lake Front Paradise

This property is a private and secluded lake front paradise. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and the solitude and the quiet commune with nature. It is also close enough to the Marina to rent a boat or kayak, close to a nearby town for a meal or a romantic dinner, and close to several beautiful hiking trails including the Spillway waterfall. Whether you want to relax or stay busy with activities, this is the perfect place to stay. One plus was having everything on the main level, which made unloading our bags and groceries so much easier, with no stairs to climb. We hope to return to this property for a stay in the near future.

Kinkaid Lake Cabin

Great waterfront location that is convenient to boat launch and town. Owners were very friendly and accommodating and we would definitely recommend staying here.
