The home was spotless. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed. The game room was a big hit with the entire family. More towels then we could possibly use. I can't say enough about how perfect this home was The weather was hot so the adults loved the tiki bar covering while the little ones swam in the lake. Definitely would highly recommend this rental!

Beautiful lake view escape!

This house was just as beautiful in person as in the pictures. Our family had a wonderful time and there was plenty of space to either be together or relax quietly. The view of the lake was gorgeous and the deck and porch were lovely. The kids loved the hot tub!Marie was a wonderful host and was extremely accommodating and responsive. We would absolutely book again and recommend strongly.

Great getaway weekend

I stumbled upon this house because it was a halfway meeting place for my adult family. Five of us stayed here extremely comfortably (this place could easily accommodate about twice as many). It is a beautiful, spotless home with so many amenities and Marie is a great host.

Yearly Lake Whaley

We are a big group of friends that rent here every year and this was our best house yet! Everything was great. Property manager does pop in more than expected but other than that amazing stay

A Great Rental!

Beautiful lake view from deck, large, clean house and lots of amenities - gym, hot tub, tennis, kayaks, etc. A quiet community- a perfect get away. Helpful property manager

Relaxing near the Lake

We loved our time at this house. It is much bigger than we anticipated which gave our group of 7 lots of room. The bottom floor really is the highlight as it’s a great place to have fun and relax. The house came stocked with so many items. There is a great walking path down the street and many restaurants 10 minutes away.

Our 5-year-old gives it a thumbs up. "The house is really nice and we really like the front porch. My room is very comfy and the bed is so nice. It is amazing and I love the beach and the lake. The beach has lots of space for us." The 3-year-says he liked the TVs and the karaoke machine dance parties and playing in the sand. The best part was the kayaks -- "I went in boat!!!!" The baby took the best naps of his whole life under the coveted dock pier while the big kids played. It was amazing not have to drag a tent out to the beach. Feedback from adults: The views are amazing. The beach was even better than expected, and we did not expect to be this relaxed. The kitchen had everything we need. Having a bathroom and fridge and grill down by the water was amazing. We could easily spend the whole day down at the beach and just come back to the house for bed at night. We had great weather but if it were rainy there were lots of games and space inside. We enjoyed the foosball and the backgammon games and karaoke machine downstairs was a big hit. The house had way more space than we expected it to have and we definitely plan to come back next summer. The property manager is amazing and went above and beyond.

Family weekend

This is an excellent home away from home! I agree with other post, the pictures do not do it justice. We had a family of 7 adults and 1 infant for a long weekend there. We gave the upstairs (Loft) bedroom to my daughter, her husband an infant. They needed the extra floor space for the baby's blow up bed and there was plently of extra room for them still up there, plus their own bathroom. The down stairs, is a bonus! It is much bigger than it looks in the picture and everyone was able to join together downstairs for fun activities. The beach with the kayaks was also a bonus. They even had a life jacket for the infant (18 months) to use and his mama took him on his first Kayak ride. Ms. Marie is the nicest and most patient property manager I have ever met. She answered all my questions and then some. So glad we found this gem, and we will be returning next year to make this a tradition family weekend!

Wonderful stay in Holmes!

My family of 3 generations stayed at Marie's rental house in Holmes in June 2023 to celebrate my Mom's milestone birthday. Of the 15+ rental house experiences I've had over the years, this was BY FAR the best. The property was immaculately maintained. The house interior was thoroughly clean, nicely decorated, and well furnished. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, dishware, utensils, and condiments. There was a Nespresso machine with plenty of coffee pods. Marie was excellent in her communication with me, and answered every inquiry I had within minutes. The house had a lot of nice extras not typical of the usual rental homes- several board games, a very nice poker table, an excellent foosball table, a good treadmill and a quality barbell weight set. The hit of our trip though was the karaoke machine. Easy to connect to your phone or tablet; we spent every night butchering countless songs together. A lovely family bonding moment. Outside was a propane gas BBQ grill and a hot tub, which we didn't get a chance to use. The deck was in great shape, and offered a nice view of Lake Whaley. Across the street from the house you can access a private beach with a cute tiki bar set up with plenty of bar chairs. There's even a fridge there to keep your drinks cold. There's 2 plastic kayaks on the beach that you can use to paddle around the lake. There's a nice asphalt trail around the other side of the lake that you can drive to in a couple of minutes. Would love to visit again!

A hidden gem

We had a lovely stay this past weekend. Marie is extremely responsive and just a pleasure to work with. The house was beautiful, the photos don't do it justice. Great amenities, including a hot tub! The beach on the lake is private and very relaxing. We enjoyed kayaking and all the house had to offer. Appliances are also high quality. Highly recommend to others and we would come back again!

Great House and Location

This was a wonderful home to host our family gathering. Very comfortable and spacious enough to allow everyone their privacy when desired. The beach pavilion was a great bonus, as were the kayaks (and the Foosball table). Thank you Marie for your attention to details and being so welcoming.
