The apartment is spacious, in a quiet scenic location and well appointed with a comfortable bed. Excellent location for access to Colorado School of Mines. We feel that older visitors should be aware that the stone steps leading down to the entrance require paying some extra attention, especially with extra luggage. Otherwise we were quite satisfied with our stay and found Chris to be a nice host who responded to our questions.

The place was nice, location was GREAT! Scenery out back door was mountains , perfect if only they had 2 comfy chairs to sit in. The blanket worked fine. I would suggest better lighting since it’s in a basement apartment and I always , always suggest a full length mirror somewhere (over door works ) Even a mirror by the door for natural lighting. Overall, Chris did a great job communicating. Definitely would recommend if staying in Golden. Oh, re-write wi -fi password. Couldn’t read it couldn’t connect at all.

Great location, excellent owner.

Home is located within walking distance of Mines and right next to (two houses away) from incredible hiking trails. Owner provided excellent communication. Great place to stay while visiting your Mines student.

Absolutely perfect

It was 4 minutes from My Son’s dorm . Easy access to 6W and 6 E - so easy access to Red Rocks , Denver and Boulder which was perfect. Clean , easy access , TV with Netflix ( i signed into my account and logged out when I checled out ) which was perfect . Very complete kitchen - I baked and cooked without care - the shower was warm and strong. I sat outside in the sun and grass in the mprninh and it was Glorious . I give it 5 out of 5 stars

Master suite

The suite is just beautiful, nice and clean in a quiet neighborhood. I took away a star because three days into the stay we were ghosted by the owner and had to purchase our own toilet paper. I realize toilet paper isn’t a big deal. It’s the ghosted part that cost a star.

Misleading

VRBO is known for not sharing spaces, however this is a basement apartment below a home, so you can hear people walking above you. No check in information was provided for check in. The address was made available, but I had to reach out to the host to ask for a key or door code. No amenities except for already unwrapped bars of soap at sinks and in shower, so if you don't travel with shower amenities you will need to buy them there. Also only 2 towels and 2 washcloths available for 2 people for 4 days. The sprinklers run right in front of the entrance door and all the way up the sidewalk in the morning, so you have to get wet or wait on them to be done. Host will answer messages within a few hours with any questions. The AC vents were closed in June, and no access to a thermostat. We had to sweat through the first night until the host let us know that the air vents were closed. I had to climb on my boyfriend's shoulders to reach the ceiling and open the vents. Antenna and TV never would work, we were told people usually bring a laptop to stream, which we wouldn't have known. Wasn't a big deal, we didn't spend much time in the place, but would have been nicer if it worked. Location was fine, but not walkable to town. Very good highway access though. Overall, not what we expected, especially if you are expecting your own space and basic comfort amenities.

quiet location in a beaut neighborhood

This is a wonderful place for any couple to stay. It's in a quiet neighborhood with a short drive into Golden and easy access to Denver and Red Rocks. The place is bigger than the pictures make it look. As pointed out in some of the other reviews this is really a studio arrangement (not 1 bedroom), but the bed is in a nook and there is enough space so you don't feel like you're living in the bedroom. The bathroom is also a generous size as is the kitchen. It's very clean and we had no issues or concerns the entire time we were there. Our host was very accommodating with great communication. He checked in with us after our arrival and had local recommendations.

Golden trip

The location was great for me as I was visiting my grandson at School of Mines. Place was great. Only thing I would recommend is more lighting on walkway to apartment. It was difficult to manage in the dark. Also a chair outside would be nice as the view is breathtaking. Otherwise everything was great. Thank you

Excellent Location

The location was perfect to our show to see Gary Clark Jr. @ Red Rocks. Short Lyft ride to a beautiful venue. The owner provided excellent communication and answered any questions we had immediately. We would definitely stay again when in area. Chris is top notch!

Mountian motorcycle rides

Perfect spot for us to do motorcycle day rides through the Rockies. After a long day of ridding it was a great place to come back to and relax, have a beer or two. Very close to downtown Golden to eat and shop.

Cold and dark

Bed is in living area. It is a studio, not a one bedroom. There was no temperature control. It was so cold, we bought a $100 space heater from lowes.

Golden stay

Had a great time in Golden. Except getting hailed on at Red Rocks. The VRBO was great. Close to everything we wanted to do.

Our stay in Golden, CO

We had a great time in Golden. We were there for 2 concerts at Red Rocks. We were only about a 15 minute drive from RR and about 5 minutes from downtown Golden. Our place was very nice with a full kitchen. The bed was very comfortable. We would definitely stay here the next time we visit Golden.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

Private and very quiet. The apartment door walks out the open space with a trail at chimney Gulch. Very nicely furnished with all the comforts of home. The apartment has its own separate washer and dryer master suite bathroom and 40 inch TV. Local channels are available and if you would like additional options there is an HDMI cable and Internet available for you to access other prime video possibilities. IIf anything’s more is needed just let me know.
