Hiking Respite

This is a quiet peaceful location. It appears a busier place in the winter months. During the summer it was wonderful. Unlimited hiking and biking nearby for all abilities. Beautiful waterfalls and easy access to majestic Lake Superior.Host was very transparent about lack of WIFI, but also little cellphone signal so virtually no hotspot as well. Prepare for a truly analog experience!

Late summer getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this property. There is much hiking and things to see in the area. Great location, with wonderful hosts. We absolutely love this area.

Great summer stay

The house was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located for activities we like (hiking especially). One of the owners, Jody, offered helpful advice about places of interest and things to do in the area, based on what we said we were looking for.

Cozy Winter stay

We came for our annual cross country ski getaway and were delighted by the snow conditions and our sweet rental chalet. Everything worked perfectly. The house was spotless and had everything we needed to stay warm and comfortable after skiing all day. Loved all the hooks for jackets and fleece. Easy to use woodburning stove and ourdoor sauna.

Sleepy Hallow in Ironwood, MI

This cozy cabin was exactly as it is listed. A nice relaxing place to unwind after a day full of exploring. The hosts have all the amenities at your disposal to use that you may need during your stay. I would highly recommend this cabin to use as your base camp for your U.P. adventure. Whether you're hitting the ski slopes in the winter, or getting off the beaten path to experience the hiking trails year round these hosts will hook you up!

Relaxing and comfortable

Very clean and well stocked; easy to find; loved the outdoor sauna, spa, and wood stove. Comfy bed with down comforter. Fully stocked kitchen. Quiet rural roads for walking our dogs. No internet or cable but lots of games, movies, and radio. Plenty of nearby shops, hikes, waterfalls, and Lake Superior shoreline to explore. Would definitely revisit!

Magnificent stay

Renting the property was very easy. The location was perfect for exploring the western part of the upper peninsula. The cabin was beautiful, well equipped and perfect for our needs. We were able to bring our dog, Lucy who truly enjoyed swimming in lake Superior. Great place!

Very nice place

The placewas very nice and had everything we needed except two things. 1 There is no working TV and no instructions on how to work it. 2. There is no internet connection. WE must have internet for some business reasons and had to go to the McDonalds in Ironwood to conduct business. 3. The lock box for the key is in a very bad spot inside the storm door. When we opened the box it and the and key fell out. There is a grate at the front door and the key luckily fell on the grate, had it fallen through the grate I have no idea how we would have been able to get into the house.

Perfect place and location

We had a great time at the cabin. It was stocked with anything you could need, that was appreciated. Loved the sauna. The place was really clean, was in a quiet little residential area with only a few homes scattered and the streets were really quiet. We have a dog and it was a pleasure to be able to stay without having to drive for scenic walks. Literally 5 minutes to Powderhorn. We will be back!

Great location for skiing and other outdoor fun

Great visit to the UP. Property was as expected. Very clean and cozy cabin. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Cozy cabin

We enjoyed our quiet stay at this cozy little cabin 3-5 miles to the ski slopes! We were also able to bring our dog which was a bonus and less stress for us to fine someone to care for him. We loved coming back from skiing and warming up in the sauna or taking a jacuzzi tub to relax. We were able to separate the 2 single beds to let our teenagers have separate sleeping arrangements and although we didn’t need it, they had a blow up mattress for use. Clean and cabin-like decor as seen in pictures. We would definitely stay again!
