The pool was very nice! We walked up and down the beach in the neighboring properties and checked out their pools and they didn’t even compare to the one on this property! . Beautiful and well maintained loved all the Koi ponds and the different pool options. We are hot tub people, and love the fact that there were four hot tubs to choose from!

Beautiful Place!

Really wonderful location and property. Could see whales breaching from our room and the beach. Worked through some minor logistics issues during our stay but property management was great. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful Resort Style

Great unit. Pools were awesome and so close. The beach was also very close. The birds were quite brazen. The host was very easy to contact which was awesome! Great stay! Would recommend to others.

Maui Trip 2024

Condo was very nice with a nice location. Very convenient parking and helpful staff. My only complaint is the furniture is dated and items such as USB outlets need to be installed to keep up with technology.

Great property! Lots of pools for the kids!

We loved this property. We have three kids 12 and under and it was perfect for all of us. There are so many pools it was great for the kids. We loved having a kitchen to make breakfasts and lunches easy. The beach is right there, so it was perfect for switching in between the beach and pool. Nothing beats the sunset right there too. Just a great little spot!

Great family vacation

We enjoyed our stay but with the onset of COVID, lots of things shut down. The food trucks down the street were awesome. We ate meals on the deck. Hopefully, someday we get to come back. Want to experience Maui to its fullest.

We loved our stay at this unit. The property manager was easy to correspond with and accommodated an early check-in for us.The portal they use to organize check-in and property details was very helpful. The shuttle was also a huge perk! The unit itself was wonderful - spacious, clean and very well stocked. We really enjoyed spending time on the balcony reading and eating. We'd happily stay here again!

Breathtaking Views

This condo is absolutely amazing! The floor plan is spacious and boasts a nice layout. The unit was equipped with everything we needed and the location was perfect. The ocean views are spectacular from the wraparound lanai. The unit is in close proximity to the pools as well as Dukes restaurant. This is our third time staying at Honua Kai and this unit is one of the best especially for multiple families.

Not bad….

The property is located near other hotels and about 2 miles from Whaler’s Village. The property is quite big and a bit “tired”. Often hard to find a chair at the pool. Only one restaurant on property that fills up quickly. Room was fine but could use a bit of a spruce up. Very worn.

Aloha Victoria and mahalo for your comments. The Honua Kai is a large and well-situated property in North Kaanapali, and Duke’s Beach House is this property’s full-service restaurant. There are plenty of restaurant options in walking & driving distance and we’re glad you found the Whaler’s Village. The Honua Kai association works diligently at maintaining the grounds and towers, and the Hokulani Tower is nearly complete with a fresh new paint, so we are sorry to learn that the property fell short for you. We also inspected the room and agree that it needed a spruce up and have done a deep shampoo on the carpet and furniture and made some minor repairs. Thank you again for your feedback. Great Location!

We had a very nice stay at Honua Kai. The unit was very clean. The beds were very firm, but comfortable. The chairs had fabric drooping from underneath, showing signs of wear. We were told upon arrival that the washer was not working and it would not be replaced while we were there. They did offer for us to send our laundry out (not ideal as we did not want to send delicates out. They also failed to deliver our towels, which was an inconvenience!) They gave us some compensation, however. We also had to allow pest control in the unit, which was an inconvenience because we were not going to be present. All counters had to be cleared off, suitcases basically packed up, and valuables secured. I was an expensive place to stay with all the fees, so save time to enjoy all the amenities the resort has to offer!

Incredible stay in Maui

My family and I (6 ppl - parents, grandparents, and little kids) had an amazing stay at the property. The condo was exceptional in terms of cleanliness and amenities. Everyone was very attentive from property management to resort staff. My little kids were in one of the three pools non-stop. Great location with easy access to restaurants. Thank you for an incredible vacation!

Beautiful setting

Loved the lanai and views. The unit was very comfortable and spacious. One request of manager was met quickly. Kitchen was pretty well equipped. More pool chairs are needed and some spices in the kitchen. Towel bars in the bathroom and a grab bar in the shower are really needed!
