Not equipped kitchen. But me made due. Unfortunately we came down when it was a cold snap and each room had a very small wall heater . It was cold in the house with no furnace .

First off, Tim is an excellent host! He called to check on our arrival time and went to the house to turn on the outside lights and adjust the heat so that it would be nice and comfortable when we arrived. The inside was clean and had a homely feeling. The beds were very comfortable! You can tell that some updates have been made inside the home, including changes to the lighting, bathroom fixtures, and other elements. The outside could use a little TLC. But it is fall, so it isn't too bad. The focus was definitely the inside. However, if you wanted to go out on the back deck/porch, I don't think you could. So, for the things that are in the owner's control, it made for a delightful weekend. It is also a 10-12 minute drive to just about everything we needed, which was great since I was doing all the driving. Lastly, it is worth noting that this home is situated on a main street. So, the street noise(cars going by) may bother some, as it did us, but it wasn't unbearable. There was this one car with a few extra pipes that decided making noise early in the morning was the best idea both days!

We will not come back to this rental. The best thing I could say was the bed was comfortable. The road noise was tolerable at night but not during the day. The fire alarm went off a few times for no reason at the top of the stairs. This is a split level home, 3 levels. There are 2 bathrooms, one shared bathroom upstairs and one in the basement. There is no master bedroom. The home has AC units in all the rooms but not an centralized HVAC system. The home was very humid and smelled of mold and mildew when we arrived. The wall paper in the upper bathroom is peeling off the walls There appears to be black mold or just mold along the ceiling molding in that same bathroom which set off all the allergies constantly. Yet if you close that door the Fire alarm goes off. The King Bedroom AC unit is very loud with a constant grinding buzz going on. The living room AC unit sounds like a water gurgling mess. Not one AC unit had it's filters recently cleaned, I had to clean the King bed AC unit filter hoping this would quiet the AC, nope. Not enough counter space in the upstairs bathroom. Enamel is coming off the upstairs bathroom tub and it really didn't look like it was cleaned with gray staining near the rear. Backyard and front yard mowed, yes, garden maintained no everything is overgrown. Trellis screening coming off the deck due to lack of maintenance and age. Pictures on VRBO do not match the condition of the home at all.

The house is beautiful! Communication with the owner was excellent too. The drive way isn't ideal, but the owner was great about that too. It is near a busy intersection, but we never really heard much traffic at all. We cannot wait to stay again next summer!!

A quiet place

Tim us a great host! He called to introduce himself and give us a little history about the home. The home was clean and very comfortable. The house had a very homely feel that was welcoming and inviting .

golf weekend for a good price

The home is older, but clean and cozy. Reminded me of grandma's house. Modern stove, good towels. Lots of plants and flowers outside but a bit overgrown. Beds are comfortable. Price was a good value. Mgr was friendly and helpful.

Cozy house that feels like coming home to Grandmas. Plenty of room with all the amenities of home. Less than 10 mins from Von Braun and the space center. Nice host.

Huntsville house

The house had everything I needed for my trip. I saw the advertisement about a gym with a treadmill. I never saw gym or treadmill at the house. The windows let in every bit of noise from all the cars racing by. If there was a bed down stairs I would have slept there so I could avoid the noise. There were stains on the kitchen ceiling that may indicate a roof leak.

Very comfortable, organized house

Check in was easy (code was last 4 of my phone, so super easy to remember!), and the house was immaculate and comfortable. All the light switches were labeled, which is incredibly helpful! Would definitely rent again.

The Garden

The inside of the house was clean and somewhat cozy. However, the outside landscaping has much overgrowth. The street is a busy thoroughfare. The host is friendly and accommodating.

Convenient & comfortable

The property had all the amenities needed for our brief stay in Hunstville. It was an easy commute to just about everywhere we wanted to go. Our "host" was pleasant and helpful, and everything was nicely set up for us on arrival.
