Une grange convertie originale et moderne dans un cadre rural avec un accès facile à Kendal

Ce bâtiment de ferme récemment converti en 2014 présente une conception architecturale moderne avec une abondance de lumière naturelle s'ouvrant sur un grand patio à l'arrière de la propriété. Un escalier à aubes permet d'accéder à la chambre à coucher ouverte avec balcon en verre (voir photos). Il est situé au sein d'une petite collection de bâtiments de ferme convertis (ferme non fonctionnelle) et bénéficie d'un emplacement rural calme tout en étant à moins de 10 minutes en voiture du centre de Kendal avec ses nombreux magasins, pubs et restaurants. Visitez le Brewery Arts Centre, l'un des principaux centres artistiques du Royaume-Uni, présentant un programme tout au long de l'année d'événements, de performances et d'expositions de haute qualité passionnants et diversifiés dans toutes les formes d'art.
La propriété est entourée d'une campagne pittoresque, ce qui en fait un endroit parfait pour des vacances reposantes. Il y a de belles promenades circulaires depuis la porte d'entrée avec d'excellentes vues panoramiques, tandis que pour les plus énergiques, le défi du Lake District avec ses nombreuses attractions merveilleuses est à une courte distance en voiture, y compris l'aquarium d'exposition Beatrice Potter des lacs et des croisières sur le lac Windermere . Des dépliants sont fournis dans la propriété donnant des détails sur plus de 40 activités dans la région. Un pub avec restaurant est situé à la fin de la route à distance de marche facile (environ un demi-mile) si les visiteurs souhaitent éviter de cuisiner.
Les installations comprennent une cuisine moderne bien équipée avec cuisinière, lave-vaisselle, réfrigérateur, lave-linge et sèche-linge disponibles. Le salon décloisonné dispose d'une télévision avec connexion Wi-Fi gratuite et d'une sélection de DVD.
Il y a un parking couvert sécurisé pour un véhicule (limite de hauteur 7 pieds / 2,1 mètres) avec suffisamment d'espace pour le stockage des vélos. NB LES ESCALIERS PADDLE (NB ne conviennent pas aux enfants ou aux personnes à mobilité réduite, veuillez vérifier la photo) mènent à une chambre ouverte avec balcon en verre avec un lit double, la literie et les serviettes sont fournies.
De courtes pauses sont possibles. Un petit pack de bienvenue est laissé pour chaque invité pour bien commencer la journée.

Lovely stay for Kendal Mountain Festival weekend!

The stay was lovely, create location from the train station and Kendal for the festival. Communication was great with the hosts who were helpful and accommodating when we cancelled one night. There was tea and milk on arrival which was lovely after a long train journey and the rain! The place was lovely and warm as well. Thanks!

We had a wonderful time. The house is in a very peaceful setting, and we found the proximity to the Oxenholme Train Station to be extremely convenient. The house has all the modern conveniences while keeping a very rural and rustic setting. Highly recommended!

A slice of heaven

The property is absolutely wonderful - spacious and very imaginatively designed. The mezzanine bedroom is light and airy which may not suit everyone, but the downstairs bedroom is darker. The setting is peaceful with rural views. Would definitely return. The Station Inn is a 15 minute walk away and has a comprehensive menu for lunch or evening and staff are very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful property light and airy

Very bright and airy, spacious new build. Two bathrooms ,two bedrooms, one upstairs mezzanine, one downstairs with ensuite. Lovely kitchen very well kitted out , tea,coffee,sugar. Hand wash soaps, washing up liquid,loo roles. Kitchen fully equipped pots and pans plates and cutlery. Towels available. Owner was lovely he popped in too see if everything was ok.

Beautiful property - Hidden gem

Had the most wonderful stay here. Was easy to find & the owners introduced themselves once I'd settled in. The property is bigger than it looks in the photos & the floor to ceiling windows brings the outside in. Great that you can park your car safely out of the way in the garage and there is a pub within walking distance should you wish to leave this beautiful property. The outdoor space is great! Had good weather so actually got to sit in the sunshine. Only downside is that the bathroom is downstairs and it was a bit challenging in the night what with the paddle style stairs... my advice - just take it easy on the wine! Haha. Overall absolute amazing place and can't wait to go back.

Fantastic cottage for a relaxing break

Really lovely cottage, perfect for a couple on a walking/sightseeing holiday. Accessible to both the Dales and the Lakes, but lots of lovely places right on doorstep (including some great walks directly from the house). Accommodation was well equipped, clean and very comfortable. Great area for sitting by the window, watching the garden wildlife and relaxing. Lovely pub just down the road too! Owners were friendly and very helpful. Would definitely book again.

Clean, idyllic and homely

Stayed here for 5 nights with my partner in late September and we both absolutely loved it. Checking in was an ease with the lock box by the door, and parking in the garage was a nice treat as well. The entire property is spotless and super homely. We used the kitchen almost every night and it’s pretty well stocked (although a second frying pan would have been useful at times). Small touches like dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid already provided also made the stay that much easier, and the selection of DVDs were really appreciated. I’d highly recommend staying here and would definitely stay again if I was back in the area.

A tucked away Gem.

Me and my wife recently stayed at this fabulous property. We have both been working right through Covid and where in need of some down time. We couldn't of picked a better place the views where stunning, The layout is better than it looks on the pictures and is also bigger than I was expecting. The Property is kitted out well and has plenty of storage for food and clothes. Our favourite part of this property though has to be the large fronted windows to the rear that lead to the patio, we spent hours here every night in the rocking chairs enjoying the views with music and a drink until it went dark. You wont go wrong staying here, there is even a lovely pub at the end of the road with a beer garden and fabulous food. We hope you enjoy your holiday as much as we did. Jonny and Amy.

Small and cozy

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a few days and had a lovely time. The accomodation is conveniently close to the oxenholme train station and Kendal itself so we didn't have to do too much driving. The accomodation itself is warm, well lit and has a good selection of films to watch. Overall a lovely experience.

Kendal stay

The property was lovely, exactly as advertised, in a very nice quiet spot just outside Kendal. The place was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed. We had a very enjoyable week and will keep this property in mind when we look to stay in the lake District in the future.

Beautiful converted barn

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved the beautifully designed converted barn, perfect for our week stay in the Lake District. Nice location in the countryside and very close to supermarkets. We enjoyed exploring the local area (The Helm a nearby hill that the owners kindly left directions to). The barn is very modern and well decorated, had everything we needed. Will definitely be coming back next year!

Bank holiday getaway at the beautiful converted barn in kendal

2nd time staying here and certainly not disappointed! love this beautiful home, situation is 1/2 mile from nearest pub n approx 2 miles from kendal town centre but that doesn't matter as the beautiful scenery around u when you are in the converted barn is second to none! looking forward to staying again Debbie & Richey
