Spend your mornings watching the sunrise over the water with a fresh cup of coffee, your afternoons boating or swimming, and your evenings around the fire pit under a sky full of stars. Pat is a charismatic life coach and mentor committed to encouraging the positive transformation of the lives of others. You can learn more about her and watch her two TedX speeches online. Her favorite part of running Valentine is interacting with the diverse guests who make their way to the property, especially the kids she takes on golf cart rides to the donut shop.
Susan is a veteran bridge-builder and negotiator, spending most of her career in journalism and politics. At Valentine, she is focused on the behind-the-scenes details that make for a great guest experience.
The âchicksâ tend to a productive chicken coop and a posse of dogs and cats that customers love to interact with. If Pat gets her way, pygmy goats will join the family soon.

Valentineâs 19 guest rooms range from 1-room efficiencies to 3-bedroom homes, all with fully stocked kitchens, charcoal grills and picnic tables. The RV camp has 8 full hookups and a bath house. Valentine is a great choice for any of lifeâs celebrations, reunions, retreats and company gatherings. Itâs also a base for fishing tournaments, a temporary home for Winter Texans, and a guest house for locals.
Valentinians enjoy a heart-shaped pool, swimming in the lake, boat lifts, water-toy rentals and an on-site essentials store. Plenty of chairs at the shoreline give guests a place to fish and hang out. Mature pecan trees provide a shady canopy for hammock naps.
