Great Getaway for couples or single person

Nancy’s place is a cozy little cottage tucked away in a nice neighborhood. It was just perfect for us to recharge after our very busy days out and about. Nancy is a great host and we throughly enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful Property!!!

Our stay was great! We were in Glendale, CA, to visit family during Christmas! The cottage and property were truly incredible! The host was so gracious & checked in with us periodically to make sure everything was going well! The neighborhood was wonderful and very walkable. We have already recommended this property to family & hope to return in several months.

Always a fabulous stay with a warm welcome from Nancy. I was very under the weather and I felt so pampered in this little garden of eden hideaway. We will be back for a 4th time!!

Perfect for our Christmas stay!

Nancy's place was perfect for our stay over Christmas to be near our adult children. The guest house is quiet, cozy, and well-appointed but a short drive from the action when you need it. Nancy was a great communicator and went out of her way to add the extra touches that make the stay special. We will definitely be looking to stay again on future trips.

LA Getaway

This property is located in a great neighborhood, very quiet and within easy walking distance of Brand Park which offers a wide variety of hiking trails. The cottage is perfect for a couple, very clean and comfortable. Check-in was extremely easy and communications with the host were answered promptly. this was our second stay at this property, and we highly recommend it.

Perfect Fit

Nancy’s cottage was exactly what we needed, perfect size and perfect location in a wonderfully quiet neighborhood. We love to get out early in the morning and walk/hike so with Brand Park just a short distance away we were easily able to do it both. Check in was super easy and communication was never a problem. We’ll definitely stay there again.

Sweet Bungalow in quiet neighborhood

My husband and I spent a few days at Christmas with our son. The bungalow was lit up with cheerful holiday decor. It was nice spot to cook and relax in. We walked to nearby Brand Park and hiked, visited LACMA museum downtown and even got to spend a day at the beach. This cozy location was wonderful to come home to. Host offered the outside ceramic fireplace to us but we just ran out of time!

Best Place & Best Host Ever!!

I cannot say enough good things about our stay here! Nancy is the best host! She thinks of everything! Food and drinks in the fridge, fresh fruit and even movie snacks! She was so fun to hang out with sharing stories. The cottage was absolutley adorable! Private, clean and so quiet! We came to the area to take care of some stressful family business and this was the perfect retreat! And the salt water pool was the BEST! We're so thankful to have stayed here and we're definitley coming back! Thank you Nancy! XOXO

Paradiso

I was in need of some relaxation and soul searching. A guest house with a pool in the hills of Glendale sounded like it might be the answer. I felt relaxed and at home after checking in with Nancy. She is an amazing host! The property is beautifully landscaped and clean. The neighborhood is quiet and pedestrian friendly. The house is modern, clean and comfortable. The pool runs East to West so you get sun all day. I has the most fantastic time! Three cheers for Nancy!

If you don't stay here, you are missing out!

Located in beautiful Glendale in a very upscale neighborhood. Nancy is a first class hostess.....a wonderful 'cottage' house with pool and outdoor lounging access. Perfectly appointed cottage with any amenity you can possibly imagine. Decorated for Holidays!!!! Candles, great art, furnishings and decor. Full kitchen with snacks and goodies everywhere. Great television and wifi access. Easy parking and superb area to walk. Best of all is Nancy herself! If you want privacy...you got it, but you don't want to miss out spending time with Nancy. We LOVE her!! I won't stay anywhere else when in the L.A. area. Also short drive to Burbank Airport. You WON'T be disappointed.

VRBO still has our refund for not being able to access this property

It's a long story but the host did not provide check-in information beforehand and was not at the property when we arrived. We (and VRBO) tried multiple times to contact the host but to no avail. Following the advice of VRBO, we were able to find a hotel to stay at. However, we have not been able to secure a refund from VRBO despite many calls with the VRBO help center. We are very frustrated and so are posting this review to try and get some action. Something is broken with VRBO's claim resolution process system. Every interaction is like the movie Groundhog Day.

Wonderful Cottage with a Charming Host

My wife and I had a wonderful time staying at this cottage located in an upscale neighborhood of Glendale. So much attention to detail went into designing the cottage and the result is gorgeous! Unlike some cottages, this one feels spacious. Features include a full sized bedroom (with walk-in closet), full bath, living area with flat panel TV, and a deluxe, gourmet kitchen with high-quality appliances. Windows everywhere let in lots of light. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, utensils, spices and other basic pantry items. A drip coffee maker (so we could enjoy locally roasted coffee) was very nice to have! So many thoughtful touches--such as fresh flowers, yummy snacks, beautiful art work on the walls, beautiful landscaping on the entire property--really added to our enjoyment. A terrific feature of the cottage is the generously sized swimming pool that is located just outside the back door of the cottage and is shared with the main house. We enjoyed the pool both nights of our 2-night stay. The most wonderful aspect of our visit, however, was our host--Nancy--who treated us like family members or old friends. She was welcoming, warm and friendly, a good conversationalist and fun to be around. She made the whole experience extra special!

Horrible experience!! Double booking using another site!! Dishonest!

The listing says private pool, during our stay the host Nancy told us the pool was closed (she said she would heat it so we assumed that was why) and then we saw strangers outside swimming. Turns out Nancy rents out the pool hourly on another site. We were told the pool was closed on 2 different days at two different times and when I asked why her answer was many reason’s. It was very awkward when we were out at the pool and a family showed up asking why we were there because they had rented the pool. We wouldn’t have booked knowing the pool was “shared” Vrbo doesn’t allow shared spaces. When we spoke with Nancy about our concerns she blamed everything on Vrbo? Her communication is very unorganized and confusing during our stay so we decided to leave early because we didn’t want any issues to escalate and she said more people were coming. We didn’t feel safe having random people show up especially since there wasn’t any security or privacy. My stay was during my birthday and Nancy put a cake and balloons In the room which was very nice but she just tried to use doing this nice gesture as a way of justifying her wrong doings. How is it fair that she’s collecting payment from 2 different people to use the pool and only allowing one of them to use it. I don’t recommend this booking at all. She definitely knew what she was doing was wrong because she sent me a text and said I can see how there is confusion.

Best place to relax in Glendale

So much more than my expectations!! However was very difficult to find on VRBO......Nancy's cottage is First Class, 5 Stars! Beautifully decorated with much thoughtfulness and care to the guests. Many treats, fruit, coffee, Trader Joe's muffin mix, little snacks tucked away everwhere! Comfortable bed, linens, etc. Everything you would need, washer, dryer, steamer, hangers, pool towels, extra linens. Gorgeous, quiet, SAFE neighborhood and close to Whole Foods, a Pharmacy (which we unexpectedly needed) great walking distance to hiking AND shops, and coffee. I will be returning. I can't compliment Nancy enough. Very attentive, kind, fabulous soul. You would be mad as a March Hare to miss out on this property.

The Cottage was quite, comfortable and beautiful! Fresh flowers & candel light when we arrived... The surroundings are amazing i will definitely be staying there again ..Nancy our host was extremely responsive and a pleasure to stay in her home.
