We had a fantastic stay at Sweet Retreat! The house was clean and well appointed. And the coffee table in the downstairs common area was perfect for afternoon puzzles and games! The house was conveniently near the beach and the pool, and we loved the shaded courtyard. We would 100% stay here again.

Great stay!

Great Getaway

We stayed here for a wedding at the property and everything was extremely easy. We rented a golf cart, but it would have been nice if one was provided. Pool and beach access was vey close especially with golf cart. Very laid back relaxing family vacation.

Our Fall break stay

The home had plenty of space for our family of 6 to stay for a week. We were pleased with the layout and the home’s decor. There was also an abundance of towels, which was very nice. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, and we really liked having the standing island to use when preparing food. We could tell the home was well loved by the owners and we would definitely stay here again.

We loved this house! The extra platters/ bowl's they had really helped with cooking etc. beds were all comfortable & plenty of towels etc. Great location for getting to the beach too. Loved all the balconies and furniture was very comfortable. Everything was super clean too.

Cozy pet friendly Place

We enjoyed our stay @Sweet Retreat. Place was comfortable(not too fancy for beach) & had everything we needed. Enjoyed meals on screened porch & our dog loved being out there! Not too far of walk to beach where we met with family staying in Carillon as well. Had wagon, chairs, & more to enjoy on beach. We assumed they were working on a bit of floor damage as it was partially covered with rugs. Hopefully that was just a time factor. Overall, very nice comfortable, relaxing cottage.

Clean but broken appliances

We stayed in Sweet Retreat and when we arrived the place was nice and clean. We planned on cooking during our stay due to Covid, so I grocery shopped for the entire week ($$$). However, the oven did not work, the stove top was hit or miss and the dishwasher did not work. I called property management and the next day a repair man evaluated both appliances and said that both were old and that he had to order a part for the Oven/Stove (taking several days to get) and that the dishwasher needed to be replaced. As a result, we had to spend a lot of extra money eating out for most of our meals (with my elderly mom who should not have been eating out) and I had to hand wash dishes all week. I was promised a partial refund and it has been several days with no refund. The property was pretty and clean but the appliances were very outdated and the owner/manager should have known that they needed to be fixed/replaced way before we got there. Also, the mattresses in the downstairs bedroom were about 2 inches thin and not comfortable AT ALL.

I don't know if the property owner reads these, but the property management company that you're using is not doing a good job. The sofa bed was covered in dirt and debri when we arrived. The beds didn't have appropriately sized sheets and the fitted sheets were coming off the bed while sleeping due to not being the correct size. There was not enough silverware in the kitchen for our group of 7 which is surprising since the space is advertised to have a capacity for 11. The silverware that is there is a very odd assortment of styles and sizes. This was surprising since a basic set could be purchased at Target for $10 to avoid that problem. The floor is buckling in the den which has gotten to a point that may be a safety hazard. We filed all of these complaints with the support phone number upon arrival. We were told they would send local staff to resolve the issues. We followed up twice a day for the remainder of our stay each time being told that someone was on their way. Help never arrived. We received a call after we had left the property from local management saying that they had just received the ticket. We were promised a refund of the cleaning fee and have seen today that what was provided was actually a Vacasa credit and not a refund as promised. We paid additional fees to Vacasa in our booking which they were unwilling to refund which is extremely disappointing since we did not receive any of the service or support that their app and website publicize as available. We will not be booking with Vacasa again. We have never run into such disorganization booking through other property management sites. You have a lovely property and your family photos add such a nice touch to the space. I would really advise you to have a conversation with your support staff to avoid having future guests with similar experiences. The community is quaint and idyllic. The walk to the beach is not bad at all! The house has two great porches with fans and one is screened in. The porches face a lovely walkway between the neighboring houses with trees and plenty of shade. The two main beds in the upstairs rooms are comfortable. The day bed upstairs and bunk bed downstairs are extremely uncomfortable for adults to sleep on. They will likely need to be replaced soon. You may even want to look into mattress toppers in the meantime. The sofa bed is surprisingly nice as it is a foam mattress and there aren't springs poking into your back. As I mentioned above, it was excessively dirty upon our arrival, so you may want to bring a handheld vaccuum with you to be prepared to clean.

Beautiful fall visit

This was a cottage located at the back of Caroline beach community. The actual beach was six minutes walk away until toes in the sand. The cottage was extremely clean! The decor was absolutely beautiful. We really loved that It was pet friendly! The only suggestion I have is to make sure and upgrade the TVs to smart TVs. it was hard to watch cable when you were used to streaming television.

Sweet Retreat for sisters’ trip

Had a fabulous visit and the property is so well equipped( no hairdryer but that was sorted for us). Bedrooms were large with own balconies. Lovely house in a safe, secure area with easy access to the beach(7 min walk). I flew in from England to meet my sister who lives in Atlanta - perfect get away.
