We spent 12 wonderful days here and absolutely loved our stay. The house is set in a beautiful and incredibly peaceful location, surrounded by the Tuscan countryside, with fantastic views in every direction. It is the perfect place to slow down, relax and enjoy the silence and nature.The house itself was comfortable and very well equipped with everything we needed for a longer stay. We especially enjoyed the terrace, where we spent many mornings and evenings simply taking in the views.The infinity pool is without doubt one of the highlights of the property – large, beautifully maintained and with an amazing view over the surrounding hills. It was wonderful to come back after a day of exploring Tuscany and spend the rest of the afternoon by the pool.The location also worked perfectly for us. It is peaceful and secluded, yet very convenient for visiting places such as Florence, Siena, Lucca, Pisa, San Gimignano, Volterra and many of the smaller Tuscan towns.Riccardo was friendly and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed while still giving us complete privacy.After 12 days, we were genuinely sorry to leave. It is one of those places where the reality is even better than the photos – a beautiful house, an exceptional pool, wonderful views and complete tranquillity. We would happily return and can highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and authentic stay in Tuscany.

My first tourists of 2024 stayed with me from April 27th to May 7th, a period in which I have never had guests because it is generally still a bit cold and the swimming pool is not open, except on request. The days alternated with a little rain and beautiful sunshine and they were very good at organizing trips and visits to the most fascinating places in Tuscany, relaxation, the sun that warms your skin and a dip in the sea. In the evening they enjoyed good restaurants like “Casa Masi” to enjoy good Tuscan foods that were new to them. I hope they come back like they told me!

Very nice house with an awesome pool

Excellent- great place to relax. The house, the yard and pool is so fantastic - we will come again. Very quite and calm. It was a very big pool - the place we enjoyed the most. Good restaurants near by and Frederica was so nice and helpful.

Perfect seclusion

Federica could not have made us feel more welcome and the villa is absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed a perfectly tranquil week in a stunning setting. The wonderful pool was the cherry on the top. We will definitely go again and cannot recommend it highly enough. Stuart & Sue - London

idyllic rural retreat

Federica is a lovely person and her studio/retreat a real treat. It's really tucked away up a long gravel road, high up with great views. Essentially one big room (Federica's artist studio is upstairs) it is beautifully designed with everything you might need. The swimming pool is heavenly.

Amazing place to relax!

The house is cosy and equipment with all you need for a longer stay. We enjoyed the pool area with a fantastic view on the hills of the Tuscany! The location is great for day trips to Florence, Pisa San Gimengagno and other lovely cities. Federica is a warm and very friendly host, always there when need her! Clear recommendation!

Tuscan rural idyll

Fabulous location. Magnificent views with only birdsong to hear. Accommodation spotlessly clean, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Infinity pool a wonderful bonus with quality loungers to relax after a day of sightseeing. Situated ideally to visit Pisa, Florence, San Gimignano, Lucca - and our new favourite place - Volterra. Host Frederica is charming and extremely helpful - booking restaurants and recommending places to visit. Would recommend this accommodation and we would return in the future.

As I met Sheila and Stephen I realized that they were special people with whom I became familiar immediately. We did various things together, they left me a perfect house. Riccardo the boy who works for me has always found everything in order, pool, terraces, lawns, etc... I miss them!

A wonderful visit to Tuscany

We had a lovely two weeks staying in Federica's villa. It is very nicely situated within an hour's drive of Florence, Sienna, Lucca and Pisa. Also there are some nice hill towns much closer for shorter visits. As we were there for 2 weeks it was nice to alternate days going to places with days staying by the glorious pool (which is even nicer than the photos..!) Federica was great at suggesting places to eat and we tried some of them as well as having three barbeques on the great built-in charcoal barbecue. We can whole heartedly recommend booking this villa and we would love to return again one day.

Relaxing holiday in idyllic setting

We have just returned from two wonderful weeks in this lovely property which has stunning views and a fantastic, well-maintained pool, vital for cooling down in the high temperatures we experienced. Federica was a generous and friendly host, allowing us privacy but also on hand to give us advice, book restaurants and even print off opera tickets for us. The property is incredibly well situated for sightseeing in Florence, Lucca, San Gimignano and more but, to be honest, we had very little desire to leave the property due to its idyllic setting and excellent facilities. We would highly recommend.

Amazing holiday

We had a great stay at Federica’s house. The house is located on a hill in the middle of Tuscany, with amazing views of the surrounding valleys. The house and garden is well maintained and has an amazing private infinity pool. The host Federica lives on the same property but in a different house, and respects your privacy so it feels as if you have the entire place for yourself. She is also very helpful would you need any recommendations for the surrounding area. We did not have the best weather, but there was still a lot to do given that the house is conveniently located close to Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Siena and San Gimignano.

Great villa with an amazing pool

We stayed in July 2023. The property was clean and Federica was very communicative and helpful both before and during our stay. The villa is a good size for 2 adults, with good views across the Tuscan countryside. The infinity pool is the star - it’s 13x5m and 2.5m deep at the deep end, with great views. Fantastic for cooling down but also for a proper swim to burn off (some of) the calories in all the wine/pasta/pizza/ice cream! And it’s completely silent except for the birds and insects. The location is great for visiting the local towns. We visited Lucca, Volterra, Florence, Siena and San Gimignano from here - the furthest being Siena at just over an hour’s drive. Access is up a series of tracks lasting about 2km in total. We were fine in a normal VW Golf, but don’t bring a sports car!

Wonderful Property and Tuscany Experience

We can't say enough about this wonderful property. Literally one in a million and we only stumbled upon it because we had stayed at another property in Switzerland who had recommended it. Federica the owner is both the nicest person and vacation host you'll find. Very obvious from the minute you arrive that she takes great pride in this beautiful villa and will go out of her way to make your stay perfect in every way. As for the villa itself, her photos online don't come close to describing this beautiful property. You have to experience it in person to fully understand how nice it is. The villa itself had everything we could need and her pool area is so relaxing that could easy spend your entire stay on the property and never leave! Yes, it's that nice. Location wise, we picked up our rental car at the Florence Airport after arriving by train and then made the easy drive to the villa in around 45 minutes. Using Google maps and Federica's instructions, we had no problem in finding it. Shopping and dining wise, we had no issues with either grocery shopping or finding wonderful restaurants in the area. During our week stay we cooked dinner at the villa twice and ate out the other nights in nearby restaurants. We've only been home one day but we're already planning to return once we figured out our dates for next year. Looking forward to our return and can't thank Federica enough for having us. Notre séjour a été parfait: une villa très bien équipée dans un site magnifique avec une très grande piscine à débordement donnant sur un paysage splendide! Tout y est conçu pour passer des vacances inoubliables dans un cadre enchanteur. Federica est une hôte charmante, discrète mais toujours là pour vous aider en cas de besoin ou tout simplement pour répondre à toutes les questions sur cette très jolie région. La maison est idéalement située pour découvrir tous les principaux sites de la Toscane et profiter de la gastronomie italienne avec d'excellents restaurants à quelques minutes en voiture. Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt im Ferienhaus von Frederica!Das Ferienhaus liegt exklusiv (sehr ruhig, fantastische Umgebung) auf einem Hügel etwa 7 km (Luftlinie) westlich von Castelfiorentino (der nächst gelegen größeren Ortschaft mit guten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten). Die letzten ca. 2 Km der Anfahrt zum Anwesen erfolgen auf einem nicht ausgebauten Weg. Check-in und check-out waren unkompliziert. Das Haus, die Einrichtung sowie das Anwesen entsprechen den Angaben in der Beschreibung. Herrausragendes Merkmal ist sicher der 13x5m große Infinity-Pool in dem man wirklich "schwimmen" kann! Großartig! Darüber hinaus fielen uns der sehr gute Pflegezustand des Anwesens auf: Fredericas Angestellter Ricardo kümmert sich darum und wäre auch erster Ansprechpartner bei Problemen (die wir aber nicht hatten). Wohn-, Schlafzimmer und Bad sind guter Standard. Sehr gut ausgerüstet ist die Küche (Induktionsofen!), so dass hier Kochen wirklich Spaß macht. Die Terrasse liegt idealer Weise auf der Nordseite/Schattenseite des Gebäudes, so dass man sich tagsüber auch bei hohen sommerlichen Temperaturen hier wunderbar aufhalten kann. Sonnenanbeter kommen am Pool auf ihr vollen Kosten! Liebe Frederica, lieber Ricardo, wir hatten eine tolle Zeit bei euch! Wir würden das Ferienhaus jederzeit wieder buchen!
