Fabulous Cabin On Lake Darling

Welcome to “The Gray Duck on Darling!”

Your family will love this updated knotty pine cabin on Alexandria’s esteemed Chain of Lakes. The home has an open floor plan, vaulted ceiling, and a wall of windows to the lake. Outside there’s a large deck, fire pit, and dock to tie your boat to. Walk a few steps on flat land to swimming or fishing.

The home is minutes from downtown Alexandria, Carlos Creek Winery, restaurants, groceries, parks, golf and more...yet tucked away on a quiet dead-end road.

There are two main-floor bedrooms (one with a King bed, one with a Queen), plus a large loft with two Double beds and Twin Bunkbeds. The bathroom is large with a shower and stacked washer/dryer.

The dining table seats 8, plus there’s room for 4 more at the kitchen island, and a table for 6 on the deck. There’s a large leather sofa (folds out to Double bed for more sleeping options) to watch movies on the Smart TV. Enjoy modern kitchen appliances, a large grill, and all the cookware you’ll need to entertain. Lake Darling is great for swimming, fishing, and boating.

Linens, towels, cookware, and lake toys provided. Just bring your swimsuits and enjoy!

Fantastic stay!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very clean and nicely equipped/decorated, great location on the lake and super communication from property owner. We've stayed at multiple places on the lakes and this was our favorite. Will be back.

We couldn’t have asked for a better spot for our family reunion! The cabin was spotless, well-stocked with everything we needed, and had plenty of space for everyone to relax and feel at home. Being right on the lake made it extra special, and evenings around the fire pit were some of our favorite moments—perfect for stories, laughter, and making memories together.Our host was outstanding—quick to respond, kind, and incredibly accommodating, which made the entire stay stress-free. It’s rare to find a place that combines comfort, beauty, and such thoughtful hosting all in one. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a memorable getaway!

This beautiful lake cabin is the perfect space for family and friends. We enjoyed the spectacular sunsets over lake darling. Everything you need to enjoy the lake is provided with your stay. The host was wonderful! We will be back to enjoy more summers in the future!!

Terrific Lake Home

We really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful lake home. Amy was a terrific host, very easy to communicate with and had the home supplied with everything a family might need. Great location right on the lake, awesome deck with a gas grill and spectacular views from inside the home. I'd highly recommend this lake home to anyone looking for a place on the Alexandria chain of lakes.

My friends and I had the best girls weekend at this cabin. It was such a peaceful location and beautiful lake. It was very spacious and was super clean. The drive into town was very short. We all said we would definitely stay here again!
