Amazing Sunsets and Lake Quality

Completely remodeled lake home in 2021 with many of the amenities and conveniences you expect to make your vacation truly enjoyable. And now this winter 2026 we are adding a 4th large bedroom that will have a King size bed.

Expect a very furnished kitchen with every utensil possible and quality appliances. Large dock with solar boat lift.

Incredible lake views and sunsets with 5 sleeping areas (3 private bedrooms plus 2 open areas). About 2,150 finished SF.

There is enough parking (2 concrete driveways for up to 9 cars) and also room for an RV complete with a 30AMP exterior outlet. Boating dock fits up to 2 or 3 regular 20' boats. 1 solar boat lift for a up to 20ft boat without upper racks. Very private lot with 200 feet of lake shore. Dock, boat lift, kayacs and lilipad available from mid June to mid September.

This is the 3rd time I have stayed at this property - twice with family and once with friends. The cleanliness of the house and beauty of the lake always make it a memorable stay. And the host, Francisco, is top-notch! I highly recommend staying at “Sunsets at Lake Ida.”

Girls' weekend getaway

The property is beautiful, only pleasant surprises...kitchen had everything we needed, beds were very comfortable. We've stayed in many homes, this was the cleanest and most organized. Sunsets were amazing, made sure we got back in time to view them.

House was absolutely perfect and outside landscaping seating options were perfect.

Overall loved the home. Would be a little more ideal for couples if there was one more bedroom and queen or king beds in bedrooms but would rent this home with family again in a heartbeat.

Sunset Stay

We had a wonderful girls weekend away. The home is beautiful, clean and just as pictured. It’s hard to beat the views from every window along the back of the home. The house is very well stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We all said we would return for another girls weekend or bring our families to enjoy this property.

Fantastic!

We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing stay. The house was fully equiped with everything we needed. Plenty of family friendly games along with a pingpong table! Our entire family from 8yrs-49yrs old had a wonderful time!! Will definently be staying again!!

Family Lake Vacation

Beautiful home on Lake Ida! Loved the views, the outdoor spaces, and easy lake access. Had everything we needed for a week long family summer vacation! Our kids enjoyed swimming and fishing off the dock. They also loved having use of the lily pad and kayaks to enjoy the lake! Water was so clear and clean! So many great spots to sit and read a book, enjoy coffee on the deck, and watch the sunsets.

Women’s Weekend

Beautiful house, lots of outdoor seating areas with a lake view. We enjoyed the fire pit with the complimentary wood bundle. Our group consisted of 8 women over 60, and we found the proximity to Carlos Creek Winery perfect for our plans. We slept two in each room and one on each of the two pullout sofa beds.

Idyllic Girls Weekend

Francisco's cabin on Lake Idea was perfect for a girls weekend for our group of women in their 30s. Gorgeous views for AM coffee and PM wine, comfy beds, modern furnishings and decor, and every need is thought of — we were impressed the kitchen had everything we needed and more to cook a couple of meals. Francisco had great communication throughout. We will definitely be returning!

Meet Jan, my wife of 40 years and me, Francisco Almarza. I was born in Santiago, Chile and Jan in Albert Lea, Minnesota who as a world traveller met me (1981) and married me (1983) in Chile and lived there for 5 years after which time we moved to the States (1985). We now have 4 amazing adult children and 4 incredible grandkids. . I am a former Architect and lately a translation editor and Jan a former Spanish/French teacher currently an interpreter trainer. We love making friends in any language as well as boating and relaxing at any lake.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

We were looking for an investment lake property for several years. A hard thing to find on our favorite Lake Ida. Very private 200 feet of shoreline where you cannot see your neighbors.
The view to the lake with its magnificent sunsets in all seasons whether from the deck, the dock or the home on top the hill never ceases to take our breath away!

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Great location and lake views. Recently renovated to 2021 standards. Super equipped. 200 feet of private shoreline. You should be aware the lot is on a hill but has been masterfully terraced down towards the lake with comfortable sun-bathing areas. If you are looking for a flat lot and sandy beach, this is not the place for you. Look at the pictures and notice the stairs you'll have to climb to get back and forth from the lake / shoreline to the house. Very good access to the many nearby area attractions on a well-travelled county road which might create some extra road noise on the front side of the property but not at all bothersome.
