Country life at its finest! Stay in our expansive, inspiring, and comfortable farmhouse and enjoy the 220-acres of trails, spacious lawn, outdoor campfire area, and hidden creek gorge.

Paved circular driveway with carport. 3-sided, roofed, wrap around deck with 3 french doors from the dining room to the deck. Fully stocked kitchen with 2 dishwashers, 2 sinks, dual propane ovens, propane range, ice maker, pantry.

Each of the 4 finely finished bedroom is unique, and each has it's own private bathroom. There is a loft above the 2nd floor library with 6 single beds.

The Dewing family lives on another farm property, just 2 miles away. Dewing Farms, LLC specializes in raising all-natural, grass-fed, grass-finished Lowline Angus beef cattle.

Our worship band stayed here for a songwriting retreat and we absolutely ADORE this house. Many of us consider it our dream home. Comfortably fit 15 of us and team meals were seamless thanks to the long table, large kitchen & stove, 2 dishwashers, and lots of plates, cups, etc. The host is very responsive and kind! And the cows by the barn are the cutest. I would give 100 stars if I could - will definitely be back! :)

We stayed the week of Christmas, and we will talking about this place and the week for the rest of our lives. The host was helpful and the house was beautiful. This place is miles from anywhere and anything, but that is part of why we loved it so much.

Great and beautiful place with lots of space in a beautiful country setting. Would definitely and highly recommend!Everyone enjoyed their stay. The only thing that was a disappointment was there was no tv in downstairs living/sitting room. There is a tv area upstairs with ample seating and a tv in the master bedroom only. There were some sporting events (NFL preseason, NASCAR, UFC) we wanted to have on/watch and would have been nice to have that option. We spent most of our time in kitchen and outdoors

An absolutely amazing property! Stunning home. The only cons are no cell service (be sure to enable wi-fi calling) and a surprising amount of traffic/toad noise, considering how rural the area is. Every single thing that is within the owner’s control was perfect.

Family Gathering at the Farmhouse!

We were looking for a central location between Southern Pennsylvania and Rochester, NY for a family gathering and landed on the Farmhouse in Rome, PA. What a great property. The sleeping arrangements fit our needs exactly. Everyone was comfortable and very happy in their bedrooms. The loft was a hit with the kids! The king beds and the four and a half bathrooms were a hit with the adults!! The house was beautifully decorated and set-up to encourage family interactions in all areas - the large living room, the dining area, the wrap-around porch, and the super, well-stocked kitchen loaded with tons of work space. We had such a good time catching up with each other. We all agree that we would like to make the Farmhouse a regular in our family rentals!

Just Perfection

My family and I stayed up here for a long weekend over Christmas. Right up front, the property managers were excellent with communication, often getting back to me within 5 or 10 minutes. The property is gorgeous and has access to a ton of walking trails. We even spent one evening at the nearby roller skating place, the Rollerena. What a great time, a beautiful part of the state, and a gorgeous property.

The Perfect Place

Me and 10 other male cancer patients rented the Dewing Farm for the weekend to remove ourselves from the stresses of life for a little while. This was the perfect location for a weekend getaway for a bunch of guys to sit around the fire and figure out the secrets of life. We will be back! Everything Elsa's just perfect.

Wonderful house on a beautiful property

We had a reunion for friends with several couples and this was a great place for big groups to get together while still having their own space. Well stocked large kitchen with ample room for cooking large meals or multiple meals at the same time. Plus a partly stocked pantry and fridge. Beds were comfy and the rooms were spacious. The loft was very enjoyable with enough room for everybody to not feel cramped, although had a low ceiling and required use of a ladder. Bathrooms were spacious and the showers were roomy. People staying in the loft share bathrooms with the king bedrooms.Nice deck and porch with rocking chairs. The firepit was great and included firewood. Multiple living spaces allowed different activities to take place at the same time at different energy levels. Plenty of extra blankets to stay cozy everywhere.

Great short stay - very nice accomodations

This property provided plenty of space for a large family gathering in town for a wedding. The beds were comfortable, rooms were large, A/C was cold. The house has a spacious, updated kitchen which includes 2 dishwashers, 2 sinks, an ice maker and plenty of room to cook. Each bedroom (save the loft) has an attached private bathroom, all of which are up to date with tasteful design and nice materials.

Binghamton Graduation

Our son graduated from Decker School of Nursing and we hosted family at this beautiful farm house. The house had everything we needed to make the three days easy to entertain and come and go as we needed ! We did several short hikes on the property and loved seeing the cows! Mat and Janice were responsive and helpful! Thank you!

Wonderful House!

It is a beautiful house! It had everything my family and we needed. The kitchen is big perfect for large gatherings and cleaning is also made easier by the multiple sinks and 2 dish washers. Master bedroom is downstairs which was convenient. And each of my family members had their own bedroom with their own bathroom upstairs. Which worked out great when it was time to get ready for church on Sunday. The house in general needs some dusting off but overall it was a great stay and we thank Matt for being such a great host. We’ll be returning guests.

Just what we needed

The Dewing Farmhouse is amazing. We didn't want to leave. The kitchen is huge, making it really easy to prepare meals even with kids running through. I loved the dining room table, which had enough seating for my party of 9. It would have fit the 13 I expected to have, and there are plenty of place settings to accommodate large families (plus enough to have the dishwasher loaded while still having clean dishes for the next meal). The kids absolutely loved the loft. It will be one of the most memorable times of the year. Another thing I really appreciate is that there was no TV in the main living room -- just couches and chairs so we would not be mesmerized by a screen instead of spending quality time together. The bedrooms were spacious with space to unpack our luggage. We generally had good nights’ sleep, except the kids seemed to find the ice maker a novelty, and every one of the drank more water than we had ever seen them. (Maybe because the ice maker is at “kid” level rather than up higher.) We took a hike up the hill and through the trails at the top of the hill. It was winter with a dusting of snow, so there wasn't much excitement in terms of flora or fauna, but there were plenty of good surprises, and getting out for a walk with family was the best way to start the new year (and share my birthday). Communications with Mat was excellent. We ran into each other a number of times over the weekend, some on purpose and some random. He had a very minor maintenance

Exactly What We Needed

Perfect house that fit our needs. Mat was easy to work with and very understanding. The down stairs is open and that made it easy for a group our size to all be in one location. All of the bedrooms with bathrooms made it easy for us to get ready at the same time. The house is beautiful and clean. There are to too many upgrades to be listed here.

A ten out of ten!

The owners of this property have developed a home that is not only well-appointed but serves to meet any need a guest may have. It was very adequate for our three families: 5 sleeping areas, two living rooms, and a very large dining room table! While beautifully decorated inside, there is so much to enjoy outside, as well, whether it is sitting on the wrap around porch, walking the hiking trail, or gathering around a well designed fire pit.
