Lake Stay

Awesome location for all of our needs. Right on lake, short walk to downtown, restaurants, shopping, etc. Had a wonderful relaxing time. Look forward to returning next year.

Overall a nice condo

Great location and the condo was nice. The only challenge was it looked like no one had stayed there for a few weeks. Some flowers on the living room coffee table were completely dried out and pedals were everywhere. Also, the upstairs toilet off the hallway had black mold around some of the toilet seat.

Good location ok unit

Unit did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned before we arrived but the management company sent someone over the next morning and she did a great job. I would recommend that the owner replace the carpeting in the living room and put in some type of solid flooring that can be cleaned between each guest.

No Bath Towels-Seriously?

Kitchen & bathroom were clean, but most of the furniture was stained, worn and old. Location was great, but garbage pickup was outside bedroom window. Noisy. Washer & dryer were missing key knobs for temperature and water depth. No bath towels, no washcloths, no hair dryer, no iron. Really? Nice new master bedroom furniture, kitchen cabinets and bathroom cabinets, but twin bed mattresses were awful, as was the furniture. No nightstands in the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms. Could be nice with a little more investment.

Spacious condo

Booked last minute so was glad to find condo. Condo nice and spacious, but age and little wear and tear shows. Was worried we would be blamed for some existing damage, but I did call property management and gave them a big list just in case. Property has no waterview as it is a back building corner unit which was okay with us, but if you are looking for view this doesn't have one at all. Tried communicating with property manager via email thru vrbo website and by phone call. Never answered any emails. When I called they did not know if property had patio furniture and that I should just bring my own. I asked if they could check with owners so I did not have to pack 6 patio chairs. They said they would but never called me back. Also told me there was a charcoal grill, but was no grill whatsoever. VRBO website says check in time 3 pm, but when you get confirmation they switch it to 5 pm. There is no trailer parking allowed on this property which is unfortunate considering amount of lakes in Minocqua and why people go there. Property management not very educated and unhelpful about public boat parking in area, but contacted Town of Minocqua and they were so helpful and friendly. Kitchen could be little better appointed with bakeware, sharp knives, measuring utensils, but we made do. Plan on bringing your own handsoap for each bathroom, kitchen towels, toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, plastic bags, clorox wipes, etc. There was about a quarter roll of tp in each bathrooms for 6 people for a 4 day stay. Bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms and living room very spacious. Road noise from main highway is very noisy all night for two of the bedrooms that face parking lot/highway. Did not bother us, but if you are a light sleeper you will hear it, and the early garbage dumpster pick up too. Lots to do in Minocqua: we rented jet skis, wake surfed, little shopping, lots of restaurants, biked on state trails. We plan to go back for snowmobiling this winter, and again in summer with own boat and jet skis so we would find a condo/cabin where we are allowed to bring those items.
