Beautifully preserved 5 bedroom home for gathering family and friends!

Preparing this house for use as a guesthouse was a labor of love. If you appreciate quality oak woodwork and floors, open staircases, and large wrap-around porches; you need to experience this property!

With five bedrooms plus a fold-out couch, this property can accommodate up to 12 guests. Each bedroom has a queen-sized bed. There is also a pack n play (portable crib) available for the little ones.

You'll find lots of room to enjoy each other's company with three living room-type areas on the main floor, together with a dining room, kitchen, bathroom, pantry (with a washer and dryer) and a bedroom.

Take your pick of which staircase to use to get to the upper level (yes, there are two), where you will find four additional bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Each bedroom has a queen-sized bed and good-sized closet. One of the upper-level bathrooms contains two additional sets of washers and dryers that can be used by guests.

The wrap around porch includes some white wicker furniture as well as two sets of tables and chairs if you'd like to dine or visit outside.

The house is equipped with higher speed internet and two SMARTV's. You will have access to Prime selections, including anything that is free, and you can use your subscriptions for a number of other applications.

Small towns in Iowa can be a great get away. Whether you are here to enjoy a town celebration, wedding, funeral, family reunion, holiday, extended work stays or just a night or weekend away with family or friends; we think this house will give you a great place to call "home base." We do put up a lighted tree and some additional decorations at Christmas time; not extensive but enough to add a touch of holiday flavor.

This is a beautiful older home, loved the old woodwork. It was very spacious inside and has a nice wrap around porch for visiting outside. Close to everything yet still a quiet location.

Great place for family . Loved having three living areas and lots of seating for all of us brothers and sisters . Only suggestion would be to get better frying pans . They have lost their non-stick. Would come back again . The house is beautiful!!!

This house has a lot of room. Perfect for what we needed. Might be nice if one of the rooms had 2 twin beds instead of all Queens. That way teenager sisters could share a room happier.

Autumn family getaway

Beautiful property. Had hoped the porch redo would be completed before our stay, but it's close and will be a comfortable spot on our next visit. All guests came to the breakfast table first morning talking about how well they slept both beds and pillows very comfortable. Having a table that fit all right of us was a dream. Very well stocked. Two crockpots, coffee maker AND Keurig.

Great place in a small town

Cute; clean and great place to have families be together. We stayed for my nephew’s wedding the weekend of October 2nd and were just 2 blocks from my brother who lived in town. Lots of space and amenities. Very convenient.

this is the second year that I have planned a girls trip at this property and will be doing it again next fall!!!!! So much room for 6 adults. didn't even use 2 of the tree living rooms. Already have started planning next year and looking forward to coming back again!!!!!!

Excellent, so accommodating.

This property was PERFECT for our family to meet for the holiday. The many bedrooms allowed all to have their own room for some get a way time. The different sitting rooms allowed for different "pairings" of family to gather at different times. The Kitchen had everything we need. The Host was very ACCOMMODATING and easy to work with.

Our Favorite VRBO So Far!

We all loved this house! It was perfect for our family of 9 - each couple had their own bedroom. The living areas were spacious and definitely suited us perfectly. We enjoyed the porch as well as the balcony. I brought a ton of supplies just in case - but the whole house was so well stocked I wouldn't have needed to. We cooked a few meals and had everything we could need to do so. The neighborhood was nice and close to downtown. Very clean too! Thanks for a great stay!

Mom/Daughter weekend

There was six of us staying in this well maintained, beautiful home. Half came from the Quad Cities and the other half from Minneapolis. The house is so large we didn’t even have to use all the sitting areas. Would recommend 100 times over!!!!!!
