Go 'Just Off the Beaten Path' and escape with this charming 3BR/2.5BA farmhouse-style home, perfectly situated just minutes from downtown New Buffalo. Tucked away on a serene wooded lot, this inviting retreat features an open floor plan, a cozy screened-in porch, and a private hot tub—ideal for relaxing after a day of adventure.

Conveniently located near Four Winds Casino Resort, Lake Michigan beaches, and the vibrant downtown scene, you’ll have easy access to the marina, shopping, dining, and more. Whether you’re unwinding by the firepit, soaking in the hot tub, or exploring Harbor Country, this home offers the perfect blend of comfort and convenience.

We kindly request that guests refrain from hosting large parties or family gatherings out of respect for the neighboring homeowners, many of whom reside here year-round. By fostering a sense of harmony and consideration, we can ensure that everyone enjoys a peaceful and rejuvenating stay.

This property is well-maintained and equipped for the comfort and convenience of our guests. Our vacation rentals include well-equipped kitchens, living, and dining areas. Linens and towels are provided. Homes have washers and dryers, a dishwasher, central heat and air conditioning, and high-speed Internet service. This home is equipped with Smart TVs, NO basic cable service is available at this home.

⚠PLEASE be advised the fireplace is a decorative feature and not for use.

We ask that renters bring condiments, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, extra toilet paper, and convenience items like plastic wrap, aluminum foil, and zip-lock bags. We do not resupply anything during the stay. We provide two rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom, 2 rolls of paper towels, 4 garbage bags, and hand soap in each bathroom so plan according to your needs.

Minimum Age Limit for Renters: The guest signing the rental agreement/contract must be 30 years of age or older (ID at check-in required) and must be responsible for the group during the entire time of the stay.

Maximum occupancy restrictions: The number of guests at any WAYA-managed property can not exceed the maximum occupancy number (or sleeps number). This includes invited guests, friends, or additional family members. Events, parties, or family gatherings are not permitted without express written permission prior to booking.

Excellent choice for girls weekend

This property was perfect for a fall weekend getaway with friends. Everything was clean and well maintained and the hot tub was perfect for the chilly nights! Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Bachelorette weekend for my Daughter-in-law

My daughter-in-law, her mom, bridesmaids, and myself made an easy drive from Indy to enjoy a weekend in New Buffalo to celebrate the upcoming wedding. It was the perfect place for us to enjoy girl time. The home was right outside the quaint little beach town. We loved it and want to return for another girl's weekend!

Great place for a nice quiet retreat

Nestled in a wooded environment in a quiet neighborhood. Beautiful screened in porch, large open living area, comfortable beds. Not a place to party but a nice place to hang out and enjoy family.

Just Off the Beaten Path - New Buffalo

This is a great house for a relaxing vacation. It is in a nicely wooded area but only 5 minutes from the heart of town and the beach. The screened in back porch is a great place to hang out with friends or family. We also enjoyed the hot tub on the front deck. We would definitely return here.

Clean, comfortable beautifully done home. Great kitchen fully equipped with good assortment of pots and pans. And a gas grill to bar-b-q. Young adults enjoyed the hot tub and we enjoyed sitting in the screened porch. Good location off Red Arrow Hwy.

Perfect family quiet getaway

Loved this cozy spot tucked in the woods. Well decorated, and had everything we needed. Even toys in the kids room to keep our 2 year old happy! The hot tub was the perfect relaxation we needed when our little one went to sleep. We also spent a lot of time out on the screened in porch playing cards and saw deer several times! The beach was amazing, and definitely check out Beer Church Brewery for great pizza and beer.

House is exactly as pictured. Perfect place for a fall trip. Enjoyed being in a wooded area while all the colors are changing. Glad we knew about the well water in advance - very strong sulfur smell. But easy to work around that, brought plenty of bottled water. Great long weekend!

Girlfriend’s Getaway

The house is charming. It is very well maintained. Kitchen was well equipped and there were plenty of towels. We loved the screened in deck. The location was a short drive to great restaurants, the train station, and beach. Our only suggestion would be to provide better mattresses in the room with twin beds. They are perfect for children but not seniors. We had a great time!

Great change of scenery

The only complaint I had was that we couldn't "easily" walk to beach and/or town. You could, but you needed to plan well and ahead. Other than that, the house was perfect. It had everything needed, and more, to make a group of nine family and friends comfortable and feel like you are on a true vacation.

Big Families, Fun Time!

This house was awesome and suited our needs perfectly! We were a two-family group: 4 adults and 7 kids (ages 9 months - 9 yrs.). There were plenty of beds for everyone. The kids had a blast in the kids' room - there were tons of toys and books, and a TV. The downstairs was very spacious for everyone to run, play, crawl, etc. A baby gate would have been nice at the end of the stairs for the littlest ones to stay off them and some plug-in coverings in outlets, but those were very minor issues. We loved the screened porch and hot tub! Sitting on the porch listening to nature without being eaten by bugs was relaxing. There were lots of silverware, kitchen utensils, dishes, pots and pans, rags and dish towels. An instant pot, crock pot, rice cooker, blender, electric mixer, Keurig, toaster and waffle maker were available to use. There were plenty of towels and linens and extra blankets. We used the extra beach bags available as we went to the beach each day. The location of the house to the beach was awesome - very short drive. We loved being able to stay in the woods and enjoy the scenery there and also be able to go to the beach and enjoy a different atmosphere...only in Michigan :) Barney's grocery was mostly well-stocked with what we needed for our stay and was only a couple minutes away. Dollar General is also very close to the house. Due to coronavirus restrictions we didn't eat out but we did order carryout from The Stray Dog, Villa Nova Pizzeria, and Casey's. They were all excellent. A couple of us have been to New Buffalo before and The Stray Dog is usually our favorite place to go eat at! Highly recommend all the restaurants listed! Nancy's for ice cream is also a must!! Yum! Would recommend this awesome listing to anyone! We had questions prior to our trip about possible cancellations due to coronavirus restrictions and the staff at Waya Rentals answered them all efficiently and quickly and put our minds at ease. We had a great vacation and hope to come back next year!

Fabulous Family Retreat

Our family stayed and vacationed for the week. The hot tub, screened in porch, and the entire home provides a great gathering place for time together. Comfortable and private, yet very close to the beach and restaurants, along with Warren Woods for hiking. Our grandson was absolutely in awe over all of the superhero toys! The only negative was the sulfur smell of the water. There was filtered drinking water and ice in the refrigerator/freezer dispenser. We would definitely return to Off the Beaten Path!

Birthday Getaway

This was not the house we originally planned to rent, but we were absolutely thrilled to have ended up with this one! Loved the open floor plan and screened in porch. Hot tub was such a fun bonus. House was very well stocked with all the necessities. Lots of space to hang out and also lots of spaces to sleep. The decor includes little bits of positivity in every single room which was nice touch. Only regret is that we didn't get a chance to spend more time at the house!!

Cottage in the woods

The house was clean & in good condition except for a few minor items. The cushions on the screened in porch need to be replaced because they are spotted & dirty. It’s a few miles outside of New Buffalo, Mi. It’s hidden in the woods in a quiet setting.
