Canmore - a true mountain experience!

Located at the edge of downtown, our spacious one bedroom condo is currently having its upgrades and offers all the comforts of home.

Our centrally located accommodation is within walking distance from Main Street shops, art galleries, restaurants, amenities including two large grocery stores. With hiking and biking trails starting right at your front door.

Your mountain adventure is calling and we’d be thrilled to host you at our Mountain Modern Hideaw

Located at the edge of downtown, our spacious one bedroom condo is currently having its upgrades and offers all the comforts of home. With a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, 2 queen beds, a walk-in closet and chest of drawers for all storage needs, a queen pull out memory foam mattress sofa bed, 2 TVs and large deck with comfortable lounging and dining sets to entertain. Heater during the cold season and air conditioning during warmer months. Safe and secured self-check in process using a lock box entry.

Our centrally located accommodation is within walking distance from Main Street shops, art galleries, restaurants, amenities including two large grocery stores. With hiking and biking trails starting right at your front door. Rental Companies also within a couple of blocks of walking - should you wish to rent a bike, paddleboard or rocking climbing gear.

This condo offers a large deck for outdoor entertaining while you look over the uninterrupted views of Lady MacDonald and Grotto Mountain.

A great way to finish off your day is to experience one of the many gourmet restaurants that the town has to offer - and there are many for you to choose from! No taxi’s needed - many of them are within walking distance from the condo.

*** Please note access to the condo requires taking a flight of stairs.
*** This condo can be rented with our adjoining condo, The Mountain Loft, for larger family or getaway gatherings. Rates available on request based on availability.

This apartment is in walking distance to downtown, restaurants and bars. Should you require groceries for your stay two major grocery stores are within a ten minute walk or three minute drive. Very closely situated is also a french bakery, a locally owned coffee bar, a small convenience store, a liquor store, take out restaurants and a fully service restaurant and bar. Directly behind the building is the town's recreation facility - Elevation Place, offering an indoor climbing, swimming pools, hot tubs, extensive gym, library and art gallery.

Canmore offers public transportation, with all areas of Canmore being serviced. As well as a Canmore-Banff-Canmore bus service. Please see Timetable Schedules pamphlets left for you at the apartment. Should you wish to rent a bike - there many rental companies in town that can assist you with this.

The condo is located on the second floor at the front of a light commercial building. There can be light to moderate noise throughout the day and evening.

Should there not be an available parking spot directly outside of the apartment - please feel free to utilize other parking available at the front or the rear of the building.

- Minimum Rent Age: Please note the primary renter must be 25 years or older to rent this property.

- No outdoor shoes are permitted throughout the unit.

- The building is a no-smoking zone. Smoking or vaping indoors, on the open patio, or deck is strictly prohibited. A minimum $350 fine will be imposed on violators and a possible suspension of account by Airbnb depending on the damage.

- In respect of other tenants or guests in adjacent rooms, parties are strictly prohibited. Making noise or playing music that is beyond acceptable level is not allowed.

- Please be courteous to neighbors on the balcony.

- Please load the dishwasher before leaving.

- There is a garbage room downstairs, please throw out garbage before checking out.

- Please ensure to take all your belongings at check out. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

- Items left in the condo will be stored for 30 days and donated or discarded thereafter.

- Sorry, we love pets but can't accommodate them at this time.

Great stay in Canmore!

Had a great experience at this stay - the place was lovely, cute, and location was perfect. It was super clean and extra towels/bedding. The location was walkable to coffee shops and convince store, and dominos! Would recommend to everyone.

Quiet and Comfy

We enjoyed our stay in Canmore at the Modern Mountain Hideaway. Nice one bedroom with a full sized kitchen and living area. It had everything you would need to cook, including dishware and utilities. The only problem was the coffee pot had a crack and doesn't hold water.

Just as pictured

This rental was convenient to the centre of town and there was plenty of food options within a 2 minute walk. The pictures accurately depict the unit. It is accessed by an inner staircase and located above a Domino’s pizza but this wasn’t an issue. There was a good king size bed, lots of linens and towels and the kitchen was well equipped. I recommend this location for your stay. We were a couple and found it plenty roomy. The large balcony is a plus.

Perfect Location for Banff

This was literally the perfect location for an affordable stay close to Banff National Park. The gate to the park is a five minute drive from the VRBO. The town of Canmore has everything that you need from grocery stores to restaurants. You could drive, ride bike or walk to anything that you desired. The mountain views were 360 degrees around you. We were a little nervous about the Dominoes pizza below us being a bit smelly but it was not an issue at all. The sliding doors kept the street noises and train noises to almost nothing at all. Amazing stay!

Great price, loved Canmore

Great price for this apartment. It was very clean and had all of the basics. We were comfortable during our stay. The apartment is located in a commercial building, as listed. The aluminum front door is on the ground level and a flight of stairs brings you up to the unit, right into the kitchen. The door has an incorrect unit numer on it. It did get a bit noisy with the windows open, with traffic and the pizza place below, but was ok when the windows were closed. The apartment is located close to the beautiful town of Canmore and we enjoyed spending time in both Banff and Jasper National Parks. Such a beautiful area!

Nice apartment, poor location.

Nice, well equipped and comfortable apartment but poor location on busy Canmore street above a pizzeria in a small shabby shopping center. Impossible to eat on balcony because of the noise and the environment. Communication with management OK but details on address and access are made available uselessly at the last minute, and later than promised in the documentation. It's impossible to know about this kind of location when consulting the ad on VRBO. Overall too expensive for this kind of location.

Canmore Mountain view Stay

Stayed in Canmore for 5 nights to visit Banff and the area. Pros:The place was fantastic as far as location, view, space and amenities. We didn’t cook any meals but it was equipped with everything anyone would need to do so. Was nice to use the leashes/dryer as needed. We could walk anywhere from the place. The town had a ton of very good places to eat. Wi-Fi worked great. The patio was very spacious and had a gorgeous view of the mountains and was a nice place to unwind for the evening. Cons: A couple of minor issues that did not take away from trip but worth to mention. The lock on the door was very tricky to lock from the inside. Bed was a bit sunken in the middle and could stand to be replaced. The apt is located above a Dominoes Pizza and several nights we heard people below early into the morning being very loud. We just shut the window. Overall- beautiful place and lots of room for us to unwind and relax! Would stay again.

Hidden Gem

We would definitely stay here again! Near the city center but “hidden” apartment above a local business (Dominos). Great balcony with amazing views! The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. Also appreciated the washer/dryer. When you enter the unit, go up steps and the kitchen is ahead and the living room to your right. Both the bedroom and living room open to the same large balcony. Maybe pack a sound machine for street noise. You’ll have a designated parking spot behind the building labeled “Mountain Modern” Benjamin Moore Paints. We unloaded in the front and then parked. Demelza was great at communicating and even left us gourmet chocolate and sparkling water upon our arrival. Some restaurants we enjoyed in Canmore were 4296 (a splurge!), Alita’s, Rocket Pie Pizza (mushroom pizza and tiramisu
so good), Finchy’s Bar + Grill CanGolf (great burger/fries, park in back). Ate at Block Kitchen + Bar in Banff (Korean fried chicken and delicious French onion soup). Best t-shirts are at Big Bear Trading Company in Canmore or Banff. We shopped at Safeway Canmore for packing our lunches. We packed a soft side cooler and ice packs for our daily lunches. It helped having a park pass ahead (can enter in right lanes without a wait). If you want to see Moraine Lake, schedule ahead! We loved the Sunshine Meadows hike that starts at the Sunshine Village gondola (then chairlift). We hope to stay here again!

A perfect stay

The property is immaculate, spacious, comfortable, and in an excellent location. We enjoyed our breakfast and morning coffee on the deck every morning while soaking in the panoramic mountain view. The location is close to superb dining and a quick and lovely walk to downtown. Demelza is a superb host and even allowed us to move our dates up by a day to accommodate a change in our schedule. I would give this place a 10/5 if I could.

Cute getaway in Canmore

Stayed in Canmore for a wedding in Banff. We arrived 30 minutes before the check-in time but were allowed to enter the condo early. Very cute space with a huge patio! Clean and open. The host was very easy to get a hold of by telephone and always prompt to respond to emails. We would definitely stay here again!!

A perfect location

Absolutely perfect place for our trip to explore the nearby national parks! It was within walking distance of all the best things Canmore had to offer, and well located for all our trips to Banff and surrounding areas to hike. Not a day went by during our stay where we didn't sit out on the balcony and enjoy the gorgeous view. Demelza also went above and beyond to fulfill a few requests we had prior to our visit, and it meant the world to us!

The property was as described on vrbo. Very clean. Well equipped. Bed very comfortable. Close to downtown location. We walked everywhere. Not a negative, but be aware the apartment is not in a condo complex. We would definitely book the condo again!
