Notre chalet entiĂšrement Ă©quipĂ© est Ă  15 minutes Ă  pied du centre-ville ou Ă  5 minutes en voiture, oĂč il y a une bonne sĂ©lection de cafĂ©s et de restaurants. Les perspectives sont magnifiques avec de superbes vues sur les montagnes. Il y a beaucoup de choses Ă  faire Ă  partir de cet endroit, y compris de grands lacs pour la navigation de plaisance et la natation, la pĂȘche et le ski sur neige. Nous sommes Ă  40 minutes en voiture du mont Cook oĂč il y a de fabuleuses promenades et de superbes paysages. Pendant que vous ĂȘtes ici, vous pouvez faire du vĂ©lo, marcher, faire un tour en hĂ©licoptĂšre ou en ski-avion. C'est un grand terrain de jeu pour toute la famille.

Delightful little cottage!

Loved this property and the host! The wood burning stove was prepped and ready for us and lighting it made the place nice and cozy as temps were in the single digits (C). The skies are dark as can be if you enjoy star-gazing.

Nice place

Cottage was on owners property a short walk away. Onwer was very friendly and gave us a full run-down on how things worked. No milk, tea or coffee so bring your own

Modern cottage with rustic appeal

Fashioned to look like a colonial cottage, inside was a warm modern spacious light filled studio with accompanying bedrooms and bathroom. Greeted by the friendly host who had helpful suggested to get the most from our short stay. Twizel was a nice distance drive from Mt Cook and not too far off the main road.

Great cottage stop-over

Margaret greeted us and gave us a great quick tour of the cottage and facilities, and had very kindly got the heating going ahead of our arrival. The cottage itself was very room, extremely clean and comfortable and I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Cozy and warm

Lovely little cottage in a great location of Twizel. The log burner with extra advantage of running the heat pump meant our stay was nice a warm even in the middle of winter. It was nice to know the hosts were nearby but also kept to ourselves. Kitchen had everything we needed, would have been nice to have a few extras that are sometimes left behind in bachs but the tea and coffee was a nice touch.

A fantastic stay

The photos didn’t do this property justice. The cottage was really clean and well stocked and very quiet which was a priority for me. The hosts were very friendly as well. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this accommodation.

A wonderful, quiet retreat

Gladstone House was a delight. It is well furnished and the fire keeps you warm. I loved the wee veranda at the front to sit out and enjoy the last rays of the sun. The owners were very kind, welcoming and helpful. I loved the peace and the space around the cottage and the tranquility it offered. I'll be back!
