Bathrooms were outdated and needed attention. Also there was no hot water when we arrived and it was the next afternoon before we had any hot water.

Regarding the hot water issue, we understand the inconvenience this caused and want to assure you that we took your concerns seriously. As soon as we were notified of the problem, we arranged for our maintenance technician to assess the situation. After further evaluation, we had an electrician come to the property as quickly as possible, identify the underlying issue, and complete the necessary repairs. While we always strive to address maintenance concerns promptly, we regret that the disruption affected your stay. We hope you visit with us again soon.

The chalet was beautiful and comfortable...better than the pictures! We had everything we needed to celebrate Christmas with our little family. Dollywood was great fun. We'd definitely return!

I dont really have any complaints. The host was quick to answer any questions we had. The place was nicely decorated and maintained. Everything worked and was easy to use. I would stay with this property owner again

Check in was easy and simple and we received check in details well before the official check in time. The house was very clean as well. The supplies provided were plenty for our family of four for the week. For the first time in the mountains I will say it is a little scary driving up into the mountains however you do get used to it. Location had a great view as well. The only thing that we had some issues with were the mattresses were extremely firm, which we struggled with but we made due. Overall a great place in a great location.

Bear Haven

This was such a great little chalet! It was very clean and cozy. We saw so many bears and wildlife. We even had one get in our truck lol I would definitely recommend this home!

The house was easy to get to (just followed my maps). The check-in instructions were simple and easy to follow. The house was clean and had the amenities we needed. No issues with phone service, but the house offered WiFi just in case. TV was offered in every room. The view was beautiful. Neighbors were far enough away that we didn’t hear them and could barely see them through the trees. The host was in contact with us and just a phone call/text away (but we didn’t need them). I’d definitely come back to stay here!

Nice place beautiful view. Minor issues like inability to use 2nd floor shower because nozzle broken, and might want to warn anybody bringing a vehicle with a cover/top because our pick-up bed cover was destroyed by a bear our first few hours there. No food was in the truck and doors were locked, but it still got on top of truck topper and clawed its way in. We were all getting in truck when we noticed it then saw the bear walking towards us about 15 feet away. Not something I think we could get used to unfortunately. Also, if you book tickets to Anakeesta via the email, would have been nice to know I did not buy tickets, but vouchers. You still have to wait in the long ticket line even if you prebook because they only give you vouchers to exchange for tickets. Otherwise nice stay. Thank you

Thank you for your review. We're so glad you had a nice stay and enjoyed the view. The broken shower nozzle should not have been an issue, and we've already taken care of that with our maintenance team. We do provide a 24/7 support number to call with ANY issues during your stay. As for the bear incident, this is bear country, and unfortunately, wildlife can be unpredictable — even when no food is present. We already caution guests about this in our welcome materials. Regarding the Anakeesta tickets, the process is handled through their system and, unfortunately, they issue vouchers that must be exchanged on-site.

Overall we had a very pleasant stay. The cabin is clean and nice. The three bedrooms are perfect for the four of us. My son loved the suite on the 2nd floor. The beds are very comfortable. If you prefer a firm mattress, you will love the beds here. The balcony offers stunning views of trees and mountains. It features a private hot tub that was hot and ready for us at check-in. It is a cozy two-person tub; while a four-person tub would have been ideal for our family, it was still a fantastic amenity. This cabin truly feels like it’s built right in bear territory! We saw bears every day—from a bear in the parking lot on our arrival night, to a giant bear wandering near the cabin on day two, and finally a mama bear with two cubs playing in the backyard on our last day. The host is very responsive. We asked a hair dryer and a brand new one was dropped off at the door the next day. The host thoughtfully provides dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, and a two-day supply of shampoo and conditioner. If you are staying longer, you'll want to pack extra toiletries. Salt and pepper are not currently provided. I missed this detail and had to eat my first night's dinner completely unseasoned because it was too late to head to the store (though luckily, I had brought some soy sauce along!). Suggestion for the Host: Providing just a basic set of salt and pepper shakers would be a low cost addition that would greatly elevate the guest experience. We highly recommend this cabin.

As outlined in the confirmation letter sent prior to arrival, we provide a starter pack of essential supplies, including a limited quantity of toiletries and household items, to help guests settle in comfortably until they can venture out to a grocery store.
