Good area, close to Petone town within walking distance. Easy access via car to the cake tin and the ferry’s. Had everything we needed. Free Street parking right outside the front door. I would stay again.

This is a former lodge converted into a home large space with interior decorations depicting its heritage. The interior is of high quality and a recently renovated bathroom and (well appointed ) kitchen. The main street (Jackson) is a short walk away.

The Orange Lodge is a unique space, so welcoming and comfortable. It is very well equipped and the hosts have provided detailed information to make for an enjoyable stay.There is lots of interesting memorabilia relating to the property's former life as a Masonic lodge.

No one staying here can forget this historic old place combining all its golden kauri fittings with an efficient, modern well equipped bathroom and kitchen. We would certainly stay here again.

Good location, quiet and well equipped. Bathroom was snug with heated towel rack and underfloor heating.As other guests have reported there is a musty smell that seems to linger. It’s difficult to allow fresh air to circulate with the design of the windows.

Fantastic heritage home from home stay

This property is gorgeous and well appointed with everything we needed. We stayed over Christmas and the owners even put up a Christmas tree for us. The location is perfect for driving to Wellington and the Hutt valley.

The kitchen was fully equipped and the instructions on how to use things was thorough. I really appreciated the owners making time to assist with the issue we had with the gas tank. Lots to do in Petone and a quick train ride into Wellington for a change of pace. Go Phoenix!
