Bach de conception architecturale dans un cul de sac calme

Onemana est une petite station balnĂ©aire avec beaucoup de brousse, d'oiseaux et de lieux isolĂ©s. Il y a une belle plage de surf et de nombreuses promenades dans la brousse vers les plages voisines Ă©loignĂ©es. Si vous voulez un peu plus d'action, Whangamata est Ă  seulement 10 minutes en voiture. D'autres attractions de Coromandel comme Hot Water Beach et Cathedral Cove sont Ă  seulement une heure de route. Il y a aussi des courts de tennis gratuits si vous pouvez vous Ă©loigner du pont oĂč vous pouvez vous asseoir pendant des heures Ă  regarder les Tuis et Ă  profiter de leurs chansons au pinceau et Ă  Kauri ou admirer le Kingfisher assis dans la Punga. La nuit, vous pouvez entendre l'appel Morepork et le crash du surf. C'est une retraite idyllique de la vie urbaine. En hiver, il y a un feu de bois rugissant pour ajouter Ă  l'ambiance et au confort. La maison a tout le confort moderne et est meublĂ©e dans un mĂ©lange Ă©clectique de Kiwi et de design et d'art africain.

Great communications with the property owner. This is a well presented bach with everything our family of 5 needed in a fab location - like you are living amongst the trees, with gorgeous birdlife and a short stroll through the reserve to the beach. We loved it.

Great weekend away

Nicely laid out home with good views and plenty of space for my wife and I and our 2 teenagers. Very will kitted out - has everything you need. Lovely tree-lined walkway down to Onemana beach, where we were joined by friendly fantails!

Wonderful place to stay!

Onemana is so beautiful and quiet! The beach is immaculate and with very few people even in peak season. Jill’s batch is very functional and cosy, and decorated with taste. Jill is an awesome host very quick to respond and reactive. We can’t wait to go again!

Designed for relaxation

An excellent place to stay with lots of spots to relax - soak up the sun or grab some shade to read a book. Great facilities for our family weekend including lots of fridge space for BBQ food and drinks. Onemana is a favorite spot to visit with pretty beach, community tennis court and great kids playground.

Beautiful & Tranquil

Was a beautiful relaxing weekend in a very well equipped home. The windows make the home so open and the bush outlook a sight to wake up to. We all enjoyed the stay however unfortunately there was a very old wrap left in the microwave that made the kitchen very smelly. As we didn’t use the mic we didn’t discover it until the day we checked out. Other than that 5 ⭐stars

Loved staying at the house in Onemana :) - such a great spot to unwind and also a great base to explore the local area. Everything top notch in the accommodation and the house is the perfect mix of casual bach and modern living. Will definitely be back if we are in the area ! Cheers.

Paradise

We stayed a week at this lovely place and enjoyed it from the moment we arrived. The location, design, layout and furnishing of the batch has been done beautifully. We especially liked the ocean view out through the upper lounge windows from the upper main bedroom in the morning. And yes, the outdoor shower is a blessing! Especially on a clear night with view of the stars. It was well used by all of us. Thanks Jill and Paul.

All we wanted and more

Enjoyed a thoroughly relaxing week in this very well equipped bach. Unwound the moment we arrived with books, backgammon and dinner on the deck, bushwalks, beach time and brunches in Whangamata and Tirua. It was all we wanted and more with the added bonus of being dog friendly. Loved it!

Highlight of our summer.

Highlight of our summer. Highly recommend this beautiful house, Onemana beach is beautiful especially during the early hours. Loved the veiw from the lounge and the rooms upstairs. The windows framed the lovely view of the sky's and surroundings. The warms showers outside were a treat as the boys had swam till after 8 pm. Thanks for having us.

Paul (owner) always dreamed of designing his own bach. He wanted it to be very different from his city home and reminiscent of a barn that opens up to the elements. The materials of plywood and corrugated iron and cedar lend itself to this vision. The double story glass windows invite the outside in and the ability to open all the windows and doors in summer creates a tent like experience. Paul's love of art and design and his love of Africa and NZ is reflected in the eclectic decor. This is not a bach for those who love beige or wall to wall carpets. This is for those who want a Kiwi bach experience - a retreat from all that is city (with a few mod cons thrown in!) The main bedroom upstairs has a void to give it views across the lounge to the sea. The second upstairs bedroom also is open to the stairwell. So if private and secluded sleeping accommodation is important to you, choose the downstairs room or find a different bach (see photos of bedrooms).

We chose Onemana as the place to build our holiday home because we both lived near and loved a surf beach called Nahoon in East London, South Africa. Our bach is named after this beach and offers us a similar experience of a white sand surf beach, long summer days, lots of bush and birds and walks and family and friends - all the good things in life!
