Everything was spectacular! Fern Lake is peaceful and breathtaking. Lake house was wonderful, and amazing. It was spacious, yet homie.

Points forts : Propreté, arrivée, communication et emplacement.
The house is quant and has a good view of the lake. The rocking chairs on the deck were nice to relax and watch the water. The kitchen is stocked with essentials and all the things that you would need which was great. The beds are extremely firm which wasn’t ideal for us. The nearby towns of Brandon and Middlebury had lots of things to do so that was nice to explore the area. Now, in the description there is no mention of the three homes the house is surrounded by which was incredibly disappointing to discover upon arrival. The aerial views show trees but fail to show that there are three house under those trees. The driveway is shared with another house that is maybe 20 feet from the house and on the other side another 15-20 feet away is another house. The house itself is behind another house so there is no privacy as it is surrounded by three homes. If that doesn’t bother you and you don’t mind looking into someone else’s kitchen, then this is the house for you but if you’re hoping for some space and privacy then make another choice. We thankfully lucked out most of our time there as no one was in the other homes with the exception of the last day. Overall the house was fine but definitely not worth the price especially in the off season and for being in such close proximity to three other homes.

Thanks for staying with us, Kerianne. Glad the rocking chairs and lake view got some use, and that Brandon and Middlebury gave you plenty to explore. Mattress firmness comes down to personal preference. On the neighbors, you're the first guest to bring this up. The house sits in a neighborhood with a shared driveway, not off on its own, and that hasn't been an issue for anyone else who's stayed here. - Dave and the Simple Vacation Rentals Team
