Kitchen & LR makeovers were nicely done

Challenges:
Booking and payment processes - exceedingly inflexible.
The rental listing suggests a âfull viewâ of the ocean from the porch off of the living room and the posted photos would lead you to believe that the lot across the street is vacantâŠthese are completely misleading. A large house is under construction across the streetâwhich blocks 3/4 of the promised view. Furthermore, we were treated to several days worth of construction activityâincluding a backhoe and dump truck which kept our driveway blocked intermittently for two days. The resultant noiseâcoupled with the obstructed viewâprevented us from enjoying the deck to any appreciable degree.
Kitchen lacked several basic accessories
No grill or hairdryers
Leak in MBRâdirectly over the foot of the bed
Spiders and palmetto bugs inside the home
âUnfinishedâ itemsâe.g., handles missing from cabinets, moulding/cabinetry un-painted, missing light bulbs, etc.
Upstairs HVAC struggled to âkeep upâ during the day
With a check-in time of 5:30 pm and check-out time of 10:30 am, we were basically deprived of nearly one full dayâwhich was unfortunate
At a cost of nearly $2,000/day, we expected more. While we will definitely visit BHI again, we will choose to stay elsewhere.
