This cleverly designed cottage features a reverse floor plan and sweeping ocean views from the second floor living area and deck. A pirate's ladder leads to a children's loft hideout. The upstairs sitting room includes a daybed and trundle. The downstairs bedroom sleeping arrangements have been totally redesigned, now featuring a new king bed in the master, a queen in the second bedroom, and a queen and a twin in the thrid bedroom. Sleeps 10 (max.). 4 bedrooms, with additional sleeping in loft (1K-1Q-1Q,1T-1FB- 1TR). 3 full baths. 1 half bath. (1) 4 passenger cart (1) 6 passenger cart. Adjacent to beach access. Pets allowed. High Speed Internet. Week only Memorial Day - Labor Day. Saturday/Saturday. 5:30 p.m. arrival/10:30 a.m. departure.

A few surprises

Kudos: Beautiful island! Kitchen & LR makeovers were nicely done Rafael A of Intracoastal Realty was very friendly, courteous and timely in his follow-up Challenges: Booking and payment processes - exceedingly inflexible. The rental listing suggests a ‘full view’ of the ocean from the porch off of the living room and the posted photos would lead you to believe that the lot across the street is vacant
these are completely misleading. A large house is under construction across the street—which blocks 3/4 of the promised view. Furthermore, we were treated to several days worth of construction activity—including a backhoe and dump truck which kept our driveway blocked intermittently for two days. The resultant noise—coupled with the obstructed view—prevented us from enjoying the deck to any appreciable degree. Kitchen lacked several basic accessories No grill or hairdryers Leak in MBR—directly over the foot of the bed Spiders and palmetto bugs inside the home ‘Unfinished’ items—e.g., handles missing from cabinets, moulding/cabinetry un-painted, missing light bulbs, etc. Upstairs HVAC struggled to ‘keep up’ during the day With a check-in time of 5:30 pm and check-out time of 10:30 am, we were basically deprived of nearly one full day—which was unfortunate At a cost of nearly $2,000/day, we expected more. While we will definitely visit BHI again, we will choose to stay elsewhere.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Golf Carts are in need of replacement. The four seater cart could not hold a charge.

Much needed get away

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My experience was great. It was an easy transaction, the rental company was very informative, they used an APP to assist with the routine questions, provided daily updates etc. The house was neat and tidy. I felt safe and I felt at home. There were a few small things that the rental company may need to check:1. Front door lock and the garage lock were very hard to use, it may need to be lubricated2. Since it’s an island there are pests that like to make appearances, the cleaning crew should pay attention to bug carcasses when cleaning3. There were no lights in the garage, that could be a safety issue 4. The final item, there was a fire on the island, several houses were damaged, the property team should have provided an update and reassurance to the renters that their rentals were ok and the fire was contained and reassuring that the island was safe, the rental property was not near the fire and was not damaged....bottom line there should have been a notice other than the a news blurb.

Thanksgiving Get Away

The property was nice and in a great location with easy access to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cooking pots/pans etc. We had seven people with us and the sleeping was a little tight and we would have benefitted from one additional bathroom. Overall, the house was very nice but perhaps a bit too small for our group.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a great 2 week vacation with all of our older kids coming and going as their schedules allowed. It was great to be together. There are no houses between you and the beach so the view is AMAZING!The pest control maintenance needs increased, the air conditioning struggled to keep the house a comfortable temperature because the weather was so hot. But we had a great time.
