Dogs are permitted off-leash south of the beach access and north towards Watonga Rocks. The patrolled surf beach is a short walk along the sand, past Watonga Rocks.

The path across the street also leads to Blair Reserve, featuring a playground and dirt bike track. Great little cafes and convenience shops are just a 5-minute walk away, while Coles, a pharmacy and Tacking Point Tavern are approximately 4km away.
