Historic Home_Downtown San Antonio_Minutes from The Pearl/Riverwalk

Olive On The Hill is a Restored 1925 historic home in Dignowity Hills. We are a few minutes away from the heart of downtown and The Pearl with access to many up and coming restaurants, breweries, and parks. We have hand restored this home to its original form with attention to detail and unique accents everywhere you look.

Set on top of a hill across from a newly renovated large park. You will see amazing sunsets of downtown while relaxing on the covered porch.
Our home has an updated kitchen and multiple rooms to hangout in, including a sun room, living room, large relaxing dining area, and full basement suite.

One of the bedrooms is in the basement and has been fully renovated with its own private bathroom (an original component of this home). Basements are rare in Texas and we have highlighted this space to be one of the most fun parts of the house.

Stay at Olive House

Wonderful stay. Great location. Short Ubers to downtown/Riverwalk/Pearl but still quiet in the evening. Great amenities and host was very quick to answer questions. Definitely would recommend staying here.

Fun Family Weekend

Perfect spot for our son’s graduation weekend. My husband was able to check in early as he was already in town for work. The large dining table with lazy Susan was perfect for games and dining. We loved the funky basement suite!

Wonderful home!

We had a great stay on N Olive St! The home was beautifully renovated and comfortable. Someone did a very thoughtful job of decorating. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need. There is a park under construction directly across the street, which will be a huge plus for families very soon.

Great Home & Location

This property has 3 large bedrooms and two baths. Very clean. The park across the street is fantastic. We were here for a downtown convention. So nice and so convenient. Uber is easy and cheap from this house so you don't have to take your vehicle. This time of year to hot to walk. Felt very safe and secure.

This historic house was beautiful and decor was fabulous

We loved this house . The house has been renovated in a contemporary fashion . The basement is amazing . The house was clean and smelled so fresh . Well stocked with extra snacks . Close to river walk and Alamo . Fabulous dining within walking distance . Owners very friendly and responded quickly to messages . Would definitely stay here again !

Charming!

We really enjoyed our short stay here. The historic house was charming and spacious. Because it is situated at 5he top of a small hill, the view of the San Antonio skyline is great from the front porch. Just a short walk down the hill are a few restaurants. We are at Black Laboratory Brewing. The food and beers were great. Very popular spot on a Saturday night. Also, a very convenient 10 minute drive to AT&T Center. I would recommend earplugs for the train horns, but overall a great stay.

Beautiful home

Beautifully updated home with lots of original fixtures with updated kitchen. I fell in love with the wood floors and original penny tile in the bathrooms! The decor is charming. Very clean, smelled nice. The beds and linens were very nice quality. Large park across the street, under construction right now but see lots of new play/ picnic equipment being installed. 1.3 miles to downtown. Would definitely stay again!

A classic gem

We absolutely loved the design,look, and feel of this home, every room seems to blend perfect with the time period, the kitchen looks amazing, and the lighting throughout the home blending the old classic bulb chandeliers with separate modern lighting with separate controls just takes it to another level. The home sits at the top of a hill so from the front porch or even the sofa you can see the city skyline like the tower of the Americas and others near downtown Riverwalk. The area was very quiet during our week stay and was a perfect home base for all the activities. Everything in the home worked perfect during our stay. We had a wonderful time, thank you for sharing your home.

4 DAYS IN HISTORIC SAN ANTONIO

My eldest son, Erik, and I truly enjoyed our stay at the Dignowty Hill House during our long weekend vacation in San Antonio this June. We found this House to be clean, spacious, & attractively decorated inside. The Front Living Room with its fireplace is a welcoming room where we relaxed several hours every evening watching a movie on the big screen TV conveniently powered by Roku. The Kitchen is well-appointed with functional appliances & all the utensils, dishes, and cutlery necessary for preparing meals or small snacks during our stay. Other items, such as cleaning supplies, paper towels, spices, condiments & Kuerig coffee maker are supplied. The Kitchen's big windows light up the Kitchen during the daytime hours, & its unique light fixtures provide lots of light in the evening. We admired the black and white patterned tiles chosen for the Kitchen floors. The Dining Room with its big, round table surrounded by an ample number of chairs and containing a useful rotating turn-table in the middle of it is a perfect spot for having meals. The Bedrooms are large with comfortable beds. The 2 Bathrooms are also roomy and contain a nice supply of bath & shampoo products, as well as white, fluffy towels. This House is located in a neighborhood close to many of the historic places for which San Antonio is famous. It is also a short drive to San Antonio's River Walk Downtown where many restaurants & shops are found. We'd definitely stay here again! Rebeca T. K.

Family Vacation

Close enough to River Walk and all surrounding attractions, but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet needed to relax after a full day of sight seeing. Home was clean and well maintained. Communication with property manager was clear and concise, allowing a seamless check-in and out. Owner was very helpful by providing recommendations of all the local hot spots.

Charming home

This was the perfect home for our family visit. Loved the way it was decorated.. the light fixtures in every room were one of our favorites and the renovated basement was great. Beds were all very comfortable and each room has a television if that’s what you like. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need.. including a nice little coffee station. Very quick and friendly communication with the property owners as well making the stay very pleasant. Will definitely consider staying here if in the area again.
