Welcome to Highland Haven, your cute, cozy mountain getaway at the base of the Cape Breton Highlands!

This comfortable retreat sits on a quarter-acre property surrounded by breathtaking scenery and is less than a 5-minute drive to the Highland National Park entrance, the Gypsum Mine Trail, Aucoin’s Bakery (the best bakery on the island!), beaches, and all the charm of Cheticamp. After a day of exploring, unwind in the warmth of this peaceful haven.

For snow seekers, it is located on a quiet road that leads directly to the snowmobile trail system, you can ride straight from the property and connect to miles of groomed routes throughout the Highlands National Park.

Plenty of parking for trucks and trailers, easy access to the Cabot Trail, and a DOG FRIENDLY policy make Highland Haven ideal for year round exploration. Adorable place to stay minutes from Cheticam and the national park. Angela cottage has all the amenities you need for a wonderful stay. We had a bit of a hiccup with our stay and Angela made it right and helped resolve it.

This little home was perfect for us. Nice and clean, quiet and well-equipped with everything we needed. The hosts made themselves accessible and suggested some really good ideas for eating and site-seeing. Very close to Cabot trail and some wonderful hiking. Highly recommend. 👍

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely vacation rental. The property is private and quiet, making it the perfect retreat for relaxation. The living space is large, modern, and incredibly comfortable—ideal for both lounging and entertaining. Every detail of the home is charming and well-appointed, showing real care in its design and upkeep. The air conditioning is also very efficient, keeping the entire space cool and comfortable even on the hottest days. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and stylish getaway!
