🐴 A Little About Us

We are a busy equestrian family and often away most weekends from November to Easter for comps. Because we cannot always manage same day changeovers while out of town, some weekends have a 2-night minimum. If you need a 1-night stay, send us a message and we will try our best to help.

🏠 The Space

A classic coasty bach that is cosy, simple and compact. The house sleeps 7 and the cabin adds room for 3 more. While there are enough beds for 10, the bach itself is smaller, so expect close-quarter living. It stays cool in summer, feels relaxed and has everything you need for an easy, comfortable stay. Great for workers, whānau gatherings, tangi downtime or anyone needing a gentle coasty reset.

🛋️ Lounge

Big couch, two La-Z-Boys, smart TV, free Netflix, fireplace and air con. Cool when it is hot, warm when it is not.

🍳 Kitchen

Fridge/freezer, 5-burner gas hob and electric oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, air fryer, rice cooker, slow cooker, electric frypan, Nutribullet, egg beater and all the basics like pots, pans, trays and platters. Make a feed or bake something comforting. Your call.

🍽️ Dining

Table and 4 chairs for dinner, cards or yarns.

🛁 Bathroom / Laundry

The shower is in the laundry (or the laundry is in the shower, depending on how you look at it). Strong water pressure for that “reset yourself” moment. Toilet, vanity, body wash, shampoo and conditioner supplied. Washing machine, dryer and outdoor clothesline for sun-dried freshness.

🛏️ Bedrooms

Room 1 has two king singles with a single trundler, dresser and wardrobe.
Room 2 has a queen bed, desk and chair, wardrobe and dresser.
Room 3 has a double bed with a wardrobe and dresser.

The cabin has a double bed, a king single and a dresser. It is warm and bright with insulation and double glazing.

Rooms are compact but comfortable. Linen, towels and essentials are provided, with warm blankets on the beds for cooler nights. Extra pillows and blankets are in the wardrobes if you need something a bit more cosy during your stay.

🚪 Guest Access

Guests have full access to the house, section, and outdoor areas. It’s all yours to enjoy with no shared spaces.

Self check-in is easy with a lockbox by the door. The code will be sent to you automatically.

There’s plenty of parking on the property or on the front lawn, including room for a horse float, horse truck, trailer, log truck, or work vehicle if needed.

🌺 This is a classic coasty bach, cosy and simple, with compact bedrooms that keep everything close and easy. It is an older style home. Built in the 70s and quite retro. Some parts creak. We're working on slowly renovating the home. Please be kind.

🔊 The water pressure pump is outside the bathroom near Bedroom Three. It may turn on now and then, a small part of the bach’s rhythm that light sleepers might notice.

🌡️ The cabin is brand new, bright and tidy, with insulation and double glazing. It can warm up at night, so opening the windows helps keep it comfortable.

🧳 The house is compact, so packing light or using shared spaces for bags keeps things feeling breezy.

🐓 Fresh air, open skies and the occasional rooster, moo or neigh add to the coast’s relaxed charm.

🏡 The house is 70s retro with a few quirks, but it is clean, comfy and thoughtfully set up for an easy stay.

🕯️ Power cuts are rare but possible on the coast. Candles are in the pantry if you ever need them.
