Quaint, stylish, convenient, cool and clean!

Lisa’s nook is a stylishly reno’d suite, close to town as well as the bridge to head east on the #3. Groceries, gas, a diner, liquor store (DQ and fruit stand in summer) are all nearby. Lisa is a kind host, her communication and entrance system make arrival smooth, and the suite is secure. A very highly recommended VRBO rental—thanks Lisa!

Girlfriend getaway

Renovated basement of an older house, entrance at the back…steep stairs going down to the very clean basement suite. Can be a bit cool, but Lisa provided a little heater. Lovely big shower, but very small bathroom sink. Microwave and toaster, no stove/oven, but can use the barbecue on the deck. Thoughtful small touches such as luggage rack, lots of towels, dishes. Good location near highway. Comfortable for 2 adults or 2 with 1 child. Lisa is a very friendly and personable host and happy to help you in any way that she can.

The location is within a 15-20 minute walk to Lakeside Park and further to Baker Street-uphill.The suite is in the basement and the stairs are narrow and steep, but safe.It's very clean, comfortable with quiet environs.The decor is pleasing and unique.We enjoyed our stay.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. Lakeside park is actually a 4min walk from the Nook (it’s the park with the beach at the base of the famous bridge, which is 4 blocks down the street the house is on :) - Baker is indeed 15-20, depending on which side you’re aiming for.

The suite is a little smaller than we expected and the stairs down are a bit steep for a couple of old ladies with heavy suitcases but the unit is SO Cute. The back deck and yard are absolutely beautiful (Lisa encouraged us to enjoy it) and the suite is stocked with beautiful product. French press and good coffee (she also has cream for your coffee in the fridge), a couple of good sparkling waters and good salt (!) all left out for our use. Bed is comfortable and the futon surprisingly comfortable. Bedding is crisp white and feels a bit lux. It’s about a 20 minute walk to the downtown area and the shoe store (Shoes for the sole) shouldn’t be missed! Lisa is a fabulous (and super quiet) host. You would never know she was upstairs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again
