Loved our stay at Mustang Cabin. Very secluded, very clean cabin. Wonderful views of the stars and night sky. Just be aware the off grid status may cause some extra planning, depending on weather. That said, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Location was legit, private, and desolate. This is just what we were looking for. It was a great home-base for our adventures in the southern desert

It sounds like Scenic Mustang Cabin delivered exactly the kind of raw, off-the-beaten-path experience the southern Utah desert is made for. We love hearing that it served as the perfect home base for your adventures out there. Whenever the desert calls you back, we hope you'll return and make it your basecamp all over again.

This little cabin was overall fantastic. You leave the paved road for a dirt road, but it's compacted road base, and is basically paved. Any vehicle will make it fine. The best part was the stars! It's a dark area so you can see all the stars. The heater works great for the main room of the cabin. Kept everything nice and toasty. The bedrooms were chilly, even with the doors open and fans on. But you don't notice once you're in bed. The wifi was good. (I tested 10meg down 7 meg up) Everything was spotless clean and well cared for. Two downsides: 1st the bedroom that has the back door has air leaks in the wind. You can feel air coming in on the north wall. This is common with log cabins, but didn't help with the cold. 2nd the beds are really not great. With some upgraded mattresses this would be one of my all-time favorite vrbos. But the sleep was so so.

This place is amazing for the scenery alone! The charm was also amazing. Would highly recommend spending some time here. The sunsets and sunrises are gorgeous. The seclusion was perfect. The proximity to some of the places we were wanting to visit was great. My only negatives, even though they would not deter me from renting it again, would be the concern initially of using up too much energy. I thought we had to conserve way more than we needed to and being my first time off grid like that using solar power, I was concerned but there was no need to. We were able to live just like we do at home so it was not an issue after all. So this is more to inform others not to be worried.

We so enjoyed our time at the cabin. It was exactly as described - a great escape and lovely landing pad after full days of adventuring. We had absolutely no issues with the cabin being off grid. Everything was very comfortable and user friendly. You can’t beat the quiet and solitude.
