Vista Cabin East is a thoughtfully designed off-grid tiny cabin nestled on 200 private acres in Ontario’s Madawaska Valley. Surrounded by mature forest and inspired by our Métis and Polish heritage, this peaceful retreat was created for couples looking to reconnect with nature and each other.
Wake slowly to birdsong, sip coffee on the deck, spend the afternoon exploring private trails, then unwind in your own wood-fired cedar sauna before falling asleep beneath some of Ontario’s darkest skies.

We loved our time at the cabin. Very restful and still, with great cosyness. The facilities were excellent..good sauna, comfy bed, all the cooking utensils and outside stove and barbecue. We were greeted by fresh towels, robes, lit fire and warming teapot. The attention to detail was obvious. Sam and Amanda were very helpful and attentive to our needs. The woids and trails really gave us that feeling of deeper connection t the wilds of this part of Canada.We came away relaxed and ready for the outside world! Thankyou

I enjoy being outdoors, working with the land and creating spaces where people can slow down and feel at ease. Hosting feels like a natural way to share that — offering others the chance to reconnect with nature, with themselves and with something simpler.

I chose this area because it’s home. I grew up here, and this land has been part of my family for generations — originally settled by my Polish ancestors who immigrated from Poland in the 1800s.

This space continues a vision that has been passed down through generations. Today, it’s something I’m proud to share with guests in a way that honours both the land and the experience it offers.

The Ottawa Valley holds a unique kind of beauty — quiet forests, nearby lakes and a slower pace of life. Here, you can truly disconnect from the noise of the city while still being close to small communities like Killaloe, Wilno and Barry’s Bay.

It’s a place rooted in history, nature, and connection — and one that tends to stay with people long after they leave.
