About the space

Welcome to our Mountain View and Lake front customer-built vacation home in Hill Spring! It's a 30-minute drive to the Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton National Park, a perfect dream vacation home to stay with friends and family!

We are located on 74 acres of farmland with a stunning view of the Chief and Rocky Mountains and private frontage of Dipping Vat Lake. The house was designed by Canadian architect Gordon Atkins and features 4 bedrooms, 5 beds, 2 baths, and a fully equipped kitchen on the main floor. There is also an Entertainment room, library, a rooftop sunroom with a better view of Chief Mountain and Dipping Vat Lake, as well as a customer-built, fully equipped squash/basketball court.

You may see many kinds of wild animals, including deer and foxes, as well as many ducks, Canada geese, and swans! The sun rises beautifully from the guest room, and the sunset is romantic from the Lake!

If you're looking for peace, quiet and expansive views surrounded by nature, then our dream vacation home is perfect for hosting family and friends.

The entire house, excluding the bedroom on the second floor, for property maintenance purposes.

Indoor garage parking may be available upon request.

The house is very unique and big enough to accommodate a big group!! I was thinking it was on Waterton Lake, but it wasn't that far from Waterton. Lots to do and see there!!

Very unique property. Lots of fun with kids (school age and older) with the sport court, billiards room, large outdoor lawn to play games on. Our kids had a fun time making a scavenger hunt as there were so many things to explore and discover on the property. Large dining table was great for puzzles, board games and family meals. Beds were comfortable. Smart TV available to log onto streaming apps. We had some smoke and clouds but on the clear days there were views of mountains with nice sunrises and dark sky area to see the stars (Milky Way!). Location is a bit remote with closest town with decent sized stores 30 mins away so need to plan for that. Yummy small town cafes/diners/ice cream close by in Hill Spring and Glenwood. Many things to do within 30min-1 hour drive: Waterton Park, Cardston Carriage Museum, Head smashed in Buffalo jump, etc. But property is quiet and peaceful if you just want to stay put.

An excellent experience

I could write an essay about how amazing our stay was. From the property, to the location, to the host. The Farm looked even better than what the photos provided. All the amenities were top of the line and there was plenty to keep busy without ever leaving the property. If you do want to leave then Waterton national park is close by for a quick trip! I would absolutely recommend staying here and my group hopes to rent it ourselves again.

The Farm is truly one of the most unique and stunning properties we have ever been able to stay at. The design of the house and layout of the property, with clear sightlines to the mountains to the south up to their lake, are very well done. We got rained in for a day so we couldn’t enjoy the extensive grounds but we had a great time relaxing in the observatory, library and living room but really utilized the pickleball, raquetball and basketball court. The house was well equipped for all our cooking and relaxing needs. We were seven and easily spread out to do our own things in and out. Our goal was Waterton 25 minutes away but ended up enjoying the property much more than we planned.
