Welcome to Patriots Rest!- our families year-round Adirondack home resting along the shores of East Caroga Lake, NY.

"PatriotsRest" has undergone a full "down to the studs" renovation in 2022. Almost completely brand new...we offer a fun, safe, comfortable, and affordable vacation destination for Patriots to relax, unwind, spend time with family and friends, to remember those who are no longer with us, and to give thanks for all that we have.

Set back comfortably in a quiet cove this level property offers direct access to water recreation while still maintaining a peaceful ambiance.

PatriotsRest is equipped with all of the modern amenities you would come to expect presented in a rustic package allowing guests a true Adirondack “Camp” experience.

An open floor plan allows an opportunity to engage in conversation, entertain and keep an eye on children in the yard and at the dock.
A first floor bedroom with queen sized bed and full bath as well as ramps that lead from the home to the waterfront and driveway make PatriotsRest an ideal retreat for the elderly or those with physical disabilities.

The second floor -complete with another full bath, 2nd living room/tv, and separate work station area- offers a "Retreat" for those who would like / need a little rest from the daily activities.

Great Stay

Amazing home right on the water. Friends and I had a great time doing puzzles and by the fire pit outside. Highly recommend this stay!

The property is newly renovated and beautiful. The house is very nicely appointed and comfortable, with new appliances and great decor. The location on the lake makes it great to wake up and just sit on the dock. We really enjoyed our stay. :-)

Relaxing

Great place to stay, with plenty of room for friends and family. Tucked away in a little cove with a private beach area. Came with my son-in-law and grandson for a relaxing time fishing. Lots of fish action on the lake, very quiet and peaceful place Will definitely visit again!

Peaceful and Perfect

Family stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed the peaceful lakefront, pleasant cabin, very updated, and friendly neighbors. Definately would recommend.

Overall enjoyed our stay. It was a busy but quiet area. The kids really enjoyed fishing off the dock and playing in the lake. There were a few things that could have been cleaner but we still had a comfortable stay.

The best Lake Vacay!!!

What a gem of a property!!The love and care that has been put into this property is evident. Our family enjoyed our week to the fullest and slept comfortably and couldn’t have felt more at home whilst enjoying the most gorgeous lake views everyday ! We can’t wait to return!!!!

Great family time

This is a perfect place for a quick getaway to relax and enjoy. The house was clean with lots of useful amenities and items supplied. The host was very informative prior to arrival which made the process smooth.The location of being right on the lake was ideal as our purpose of the trip was to ice fish with smaller children.

Amazing Getaway Location

The PatriotsRest is a beautiful home with amazing deck, patio, and yard areas for all ages to enjoy! The gentle sloped, soft sand area was perfect for the younger kids to enjoy. Communication with Trent was so easy and was a wonderful host! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Patriots Rest with our family and highly recommend staying at the property.

Peace and quiet

We were looking to get away for a low key stay and just a relaxing time with the family. Patriot’s rest was a great place to do just that. The views of the lake, quiet neighborhood and cozy lodging is what we experienced this time around. Riverside Cafe is a great place for breakfast, and Kane mountain is easy and beautiful views from the top.

Fall Get Away

We had a wonderful stay at Patriots Rest. Everything needed for a short vacation was provided. The home was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The beds very comfortable (we slept better here than at home). It was a great starting point for hiking, day trips to Saratoga and Speculator. Highly recommend Patriots Rest to those considering a trip to the Adirondacks.

Refreshing Lakefront Spot

Such a cute, efficient spot for a refreshing vacation. We loved relaxing on the dock, floating on tubes in the lake, and listening to the birds. The Blackstone grill was super handy and the fire pit beside the lake was great for cozy evenings. Thank you for sharing your property with our family.

Beautiful home; great waterfront (flat) property

The home was modernized, very comfortable and spacious. Great layout (2nd living area upstairs). The waterfront view/property was amazing, with the house being close to the lake (and the property is flat, so the lake is easy to access).

Fantastic lake house

Beautiful house on a great property. House is big, comfortable and unique. Kids loved the upstairs area. Plenty of outside seating for everyone, either in the screen room, deck, lawn or dock. Fishing was great caught plenty of bass and pickerel. Highly recommended

Enjoyable Winter Stay

We were visiting to celebrate our grandmother's birthday. Despite a snowstorm which left nearly 2 feet of snow prior to our arrival, we were able to find plenty to do in the area. We were also relieved to find that the driveway and walk had been meticulously shoveled for us. The cabin was decorated nicely, had everything we needed, and was very comfortable. We had a fabulous time and would love to visit again!

Great summer vacation spot

We just got home from our week at patriot rest. We had an amazing time there. None of us wanted to leave. the house is beautifully remodeled it’s in a great location in the bay where is it pretty calm. Trent was very responsive if we needed anything.. We will def be retuning and might because a yearly tradition for us!

Couldn’t have been happier with Patriots Rest. To start, I would say the pictures don’t do it justice. From the remodeled bathrooms, to the beautiful flooring in the kitchen. The outdoor space was also amazing. Sunrises were gorgeous in the morning. The interior was well laid out, providing plenty of room for people to move about. Plenty of space for my family as we celebrated my nieces wedding at a local venue just down the street. We don’t live far away but stayed for convenience for everyone to be together. Would absolutely stay again.… Maybe for a longer stay the next time to enjoy more of the lake life. Thank you again.

Graduation Trip

The host responded very quickly and kindly and addressed all over our questions and concerns. His house is beautiful looking right over the lake, and the house was very clean. The host provided many things such as utensils and plates to the TV and a canoe to make our stay very enjoyable. I highly recommend this property to anyone who’s looking for a place to stay in upstate New York or near a lake.

Waterfront on East Caroga Lake

This is a very nice house with beautiful water views. The house was clean and recently renovated. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a new washer and dryer. The owner was very easy to work with and quick to respond to any issues. There is a good boat dock and the marina is very close. The waterfront is easy to launch kayaks or to go in swimming. This is a good lake for boating and fishing. Nearby there are hiking trails, mountain bike trails, and a golf course. I recommend and would stay again.

Lovely Location

The house is located on Caroga Lake. It is a peaceful property with gorgeous views! Got to see and hear eagles too! Indoor and outdoor space is very nice! Beds are comfortable and plenty of space to accommodate 10 people. Kitchen is stocked, but if you plan on cooking a lot of items, consider bringing favorite pots or pans. Easy access to Dollar General for various items and awesome sandwiches from Caroga Lake View Store! Decor is very comforting and well-thought out. Loved the kitchen bench seating for large crowds! Beautiful location for visiting the region!

Comfort with beautiful view

We had a great time staying at Patriots Rest. The house was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the house had everything you could need. The weather wasn't great when we were there but enjoyed sitting by the campfire the first night. Too muddy to do any hiking, but took a ride to Salisbury Covered Bridge and Fraiser Sugar Shack. Also took rides around several lakes and enjoyed the scenery. Had good conversation, watched some shows and there's several games for use there. Plenty of places to eat in area, just check days open and hours if off season. I can go on and on, but definitely a wonderful place to stay!!

Life Reset

If you need a peaceful , beautiful place just to relax and reset your life, this is the place.Everything you need is there and shopping is close by. Owners are quick to respond to any questions. Neighbors are friendly and helpful. My best friend recently lost her husband and needed some time to regroup. This place did the trick. Her first camp trip but it won’t be the last. It was delightful and I plan to go again with my husband.
