Here's why we think you'll love our property...
You have plenty of space to enjoy, not only the waterfront and yard, but also inside this spacious, updated home. Lots of windows with views of the lake from almost every room in the home. About 330 ft of waterfront on Long Lake on the Sauk River Chain of Lakes. Neighboring docks are a good distance away, not close like many lake properties. You will feel like you are in your own little world.
There are 15 lakes all together to explore on this chain of lakes. There is one gas pump and one boat up restaurant on the chain. In the summer you can enjoy swimming, boating, kayaking, golfing, fishing, etc. In the winter, you can enjoy ice fishing, snowmobiling, downhill skiing, etc. You can get to tons of shopping and restaurants in St. Cloud (about 25 minutes away). Minneapolis is only about 1 hr. 15 minutes away so if that's home for you then your vacation to this paradise is just a short drive away.

Fantastic lake house!

We had a terrific nine-person family reunion at Sandy's lake house. It was great to have three bathrooms for our crew, and there were enough beds for everyone to sleep comfortably. The yard, beach and dock are outstanding. Sandy was an excellent host, and the home is within easy driving distance of the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport. We certainly will consumer this home for our next getaway in Minnesota!

Annual 4th of July family getaway

Excellent lake house

This lake house is the perfect blend of original knotty pine cabin and updated home. There is lots of comfortable space. The amenities are excellent and cater to families. We will definitely stay there again.

Wonderful lake home!

We had a wonderful stay at this lake home. It was a perfect location for a relaxing family reunion. The house was very spacious, clean, and had everything we needed to enjoy time together as a family. The yard is huge, and the lake view was spectacular. I would highly recommend this vacation home for family gatherings. The hosts were also extremely responsive and kind. We had a great time!

Such a wonderful property

This place was really just so wonderful! There was so much to do for everyone of all ages and it was just such a great experience. Sandy and Tim were wonderful as well. Family summer get-away

Wonderful! 4 bedrooms were necessary for us. Large home, all the necessities, a game room, swimming area, large "sandbox". Sandy returned my communications quickly and answered all of my questions.

Great place

Very great place with lots of space for all. Very friendly owners and willing to help. Had a wedding in Eden Valley with the reception at Dino. Had no idea how close the home was to both places when I booked it. It worked out great for a family of five and a few relatives for the weekend. It would be a great place for a family cabin get away. Thanks for letting us stay. Highly recommend.

Plenty of Room!

The property is very accurately described…a spacious home with 4 nice sized bedrooms, large kitchen/dining area, many nice updates in the home and a HUGE yard for yard games. The lake has a nice dock, few weeds, sandy bottom and normal water clarity for central MN. Home was very clean and nicely equipped. Sandy was very accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed our time there very much.

Loved all the extras not normally found in A VRBO to get your day going. Complimentary coffee , garbage bags ,TP elevated to a seamless Vrbo upgraded hotel like stay Lake view obstructed , property is wooded but very peaceful Dock access is at perimeter of prop a short walk ! Absolutely beautiful!

My family and I spent the weekend here. Our biggest complaint was that we didn’t have more time! We would love to rent again! Beautiful, serene, and lots of room! The fish were literally jumping out of the water at dusk. Fully stocked with dishes, cookware, towels and blankets. Lots of little extras, too. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here!

Wow! Everything and more

We had a nice mini family reunion at this property. It is very well stocked and SO spacious. The beds were comfortable and showers nice. The kitchen has everything needed to cook and eat together. We enjoyed the dock and water. The sunsets and sunrises are spectacular. We watched movies at night on the big TV. It’s a very peaceful place. A gem. We will likely stay again.

Perfect Family Lake House Getaway

We spent four nights with our teenagers here for a family getaway. Everyone had a great time with no complaints about anything…truly amazing! The kitchen was big and dining table perfect for family dinners and game nights. Kids enjoyed hanging out in the spacious downstairs. The lake was beautiful and perfect for water sports and just boating around the various lakes. We had fun taking the kayaks out and fishing off the dock. Thank you and after taking a poll…everyone would like to come back again!

Minnesota Vacation

We rented this property for a little family vacation. We had 8 adults and 2 under 2. It was a great location within 30 minutes of many breweries and golf courses for the adults and it seemed like every town had a few nice playgrounds! The property itself had plenty of space with a fully stocked kitchen. We fished off the dock a few days but were unlucky and did not catch anything. Several of our nights were spent by the fire pit where we roasted s’mores and chatted. Our two under two loved walking around the property picking up little sticks and pine cones. Overall we had a wonderful time visiting the Richmond lake house!

My 4 could be your 5

Overall our family had a great time on vacation. We had a few minor issues, but the owner was very responsive and helped resolve quickly. Every family has different things they look for when they go on vacation which is why my 4 could be your 5, or your 3 depending on what you feel is most important. Her are the pros: 1. Great lot, very private, lots of room for activities 2. Comfortable beds 3. Well stocked kitchen 4. Nice sitting area in the basement for family movie night 5. Large list of things to do as a family - ping pong, foosball, arcade game, fire pit, Kayaks and many yard games (family had a spirited Croquet tournament) 6. Large shaded area outside to enjoy coffee and relax in the Adirondack chairs. 7. Large table for family meals Cons: 1. The room with the swing chair in the summer is pretty much unusable as it get very hot in there. 2. The house is definitely cleaned before new families check in, but it could use a deeper clean, as there are cob webs in most of the corners of the ceiling, there was dirty napkins on the outdoor furniture, when we took the cover off, and the exhaust fan in the main bathroom was very dusty and had cob webs 3. If you are coming to do a lot of boating the chain of lakes only has 1 gas pump on it and no marinas. When we were there the gas pump was out of order so we had to refuel the boat with gas cans. Not the owners fault, but maybe some more info about the chain of lakes in the write up would be helpful. 4. Poor water pressure, if you have long hair like my wife it will take a while to get all the shampoo out of your hair. 5. None of the bedrooms have dressers, or places to put your clothes, besides hangers to hang any shirts in the closet. There were also no mirrors in any of the rooms. Again, overall we had a great time, and were very comfortable, so we would recommend.

Hi Erin, Thank you again for choosing our property for your family time. We appreciate your detailed review. So glad you enjoyed many of the special things we enjoy there as well!! For future renters, I want to address the cons: 1. We like to open the windows and use the fan in the 3-season porch. It provides a nice cross breeze and lovely experience (unless the weather is super hot hot, which it may have been during your stay). 2. We have had the exterior of the home sprayed twice this season so far for spiders (May and July), as lake properties tend to attract them. We also had the interior sprayed on July 22nd (unfortunately, the date of your check out) after our cleaning crew said the cobwebs seemed to keep appearing even though they were removing them each and every time. And sometimes we accidentally miss something in our spring clean, so thanks for letting us know about the main floor bathroom fan. We will take care of that. I apologize the outdoor furniture was left untidy. It is on our cleaning crew's checklist, but it's possible they accidentally forgot to take care of it that day. In our check-in information, we do ask that you make us aware if you find anything unclean or unacceptable. I wish we could have remedied this situation for you if we would have known. 3. So sorry for your experience on the chain. I will try to include more information. We haven't been able to explore all of it since we have only owned the property about 2 years. 4. I'm sorry you experienced poor water pressure. It has never been an issue for us. 5. When furnishing the bedrooms, we decided we wanted a very open feel and didn't want to clutter up the space with dressers since a majority of travelers don't put their items in them. We have never thought of putting mirrors in the bedrooms. We will take your suggestion into consideration. Thanks again for your stay and we hope you'll come back again sometime! So much fun!

We had a bachelorette party weekend and loved this property. House is prettier than the pictures. So many surprising amenities to enjoy outside. Loved this property! Owners were so helpful and responded promptly.

Girls Weekend

Our group of 10 ladies absolutely LOVED the space. Everyone raved about it and asked for me to share how I found it so they can hopefully use it in the future! We never ended up having a fire, but we enjoyed the yard space for games and swinging (the yard swing was a huge hit!), and we spent a LOT of time floating in the water and watching fireworks on the dock. The kitchen, dining, and patio areas were perfect for our group to eat together, and the basement was perfect for everyone to be comfortable during late night chats! It was truly wonderful and we are so grateful to have found this property. Sandy and Tim were excellent hosts, super responsive, and even left us cookies to enjoy when we arrived! Highly, highly recommend.

Great stay, highly recommend

My friends and I needed a relaxing place to stay with a large yard and big living room arrangements. This rental property is all of that and more. We had a great time utilizing the outdoor space and the cabin was very clean and nicely set up.

This property has lots of space and activities for you to do both inside and outside. You can do as much or as little as you desire during your getaway. There are a lot of items we provide to help keep your time here fun for you and your guests, including a "Maui Mat" which is tons of fun. But if you need some alone time, the home and property have plenty of space for you to find room to yourself.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Unlike other properties on the water, this property has lots of safe places to play and have fun on your vacation whether the weather is right for water fun or not. We have plenty of open area to run, play, do yard games, etc. without feeling like little ones are going to toddle off into the water. You can relax and have fun without stressing. If the weather doesn't cooperate to spend your time all outdoors, you will have plenty of space inside the home as well. Many cabins are "quaint" which means tight quarters if you are stuck inside. You will not feel like that here. You have lots of living spaces to spread out if you want, set up card games, puzzles, toys, or just relax on one of the couches to watch a movie.
