Beautiful Timber Frame Home on 10 acres w/pond 3 BR 2 BA hardwood floors, screened back porch w/swing & bistro table/chairs, central air/heat, stainless steel appliances, Keurig coffee maker & gas BBQ grill; Enjoy the quiet of country living w/ spectacular views. Walk the wooded property which has a small creek running through it. This peaceful property is located at the end of a dead end road so you will enjoy the comforts of country living that isn't too far from town.
The premises are equipped with ring cameras at front & back doors. Security cameras are not monitored and should not be relied on for personal safety. No cameras are placed inside or within any view of the interior of the property. Ring cameras may be used to verify compliance with rental policies.

The host was very accommodating and allowed early check-in. The house was adorable. My only complaint was the bathrooms. Although the house had 2 full baths, there was only one very tiny child size shower. It wasn't easy to use for full grown adults and definitely not plus size friendly.

I would like to clarify for anyone who reads your review that our shower is larger than a standard shower size (standard is 3'x3' and ours is a 3'x4' corner tiled shower) and is in no way child-sized. If guests have a need for a specific accommodation, please reach out to the property owner. We will be glad to give you measurements before booking so that you don't give a less than stellar review for something that is outside of the property owners control.

This was the most perfect property for us while we awaited the birth of our grandchild in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The home is comfortable situated in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful acreage all around! If you’re looking for a quiet spot to get away from the hustle and bustle, this is it! Owner was incredibly communicative whenever we reached out and made sure our stay was everything we needed! Highly recommend!

Property and home is beautiful and cozy. After the first night we started planning the next trip.

Mens Group Weekend

This property listing is 100% accurate but still does not capture the beauty of the property. It is rustic and remote. Plenty of space for walks around the property to enjoy the fresh air. Extra surprises: The bbq pit was stocked with propane. Firewood including dry kindling provided. Outdoor chairs provided. Throw blankets available inside. For such a rustic place the kitchen was very well equipped and modern. Ice maker worked and tasted great. Two types of coffee makers Keurig or drip. Comfortable couches and chairs. Plenty of space for twin air mattress if not all of your group are couples. Excellent communication with the host as we inquired early about the fire pit and they let us know as soon as the burn ban had lifted. Excellent value for our early December stay. Note that while not completely ADA accessible, one of the bathrooms can easily accommodate a 34” wide wheelchair.

This peaceful property is located on a dead end road where you enjoy the quiet of the country but isn't too far from town.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

This is a beautiful timber frame home built by the hardworking hands of a family member. The wood beams were cut from trees on the surrounding property. The construction is traditional timber framing which utilize vertical timber posts and horizontal timber beams using joints cut into the wood, called mortise and tenons, to secure one timber to another then secure the pieces, not with a nail, but with a wooden peg. The frame is not just structural but a fine work of art. It is very special to us and too beautiful to keep to ourselves so we wanted to share it with our guests.
