Cottage Home at McGinnis Point

This cozy, newly renovated 4/2 home on the point has beautiful sunset views of Castello island. The home sleeps 11 with plenty of dining and living space. A washer and dryer is adjacent to the kitchen. The kitchen features a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, an extra refrigerator and peninsula with seating for two that flows to the 12 person dining room and living area.
The queen master bedroom has a en suite bath with a double sink, free standing bathtub, large walk in shower and separate toilet room. Two additional queen bedrooms share a 3 piece bathroom with the bunkroom featuring 2 sets of twin bunk beds and a trundle, sleeping 5.
The shaded back porch with large trees looks out to the sprawling yard with access to the lake and deep water cove. Boat parking is available on one side of the dock. This home can be combined with the Spacious Home at McGinnis Point, listing #2031443. Perfect for large family reunions, gatherings and weddings.

Friends weekend

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house and property were amazing. The dock was our favorite to fish and hang out. It was so clean when we arrived. Our host Bo was very responsive to our requests. Overall I would highly recommend this place to stay. We hope to come back soon.

Horrible experience

The septic was backed up and the was very stinky. Also there was suppose to be dogs on the property but a wiener dog and a border collie kept coming over and doing their #2 business on the lawn that we had to deal with. Then the neighbor decides he wanted to come say hi and drove his golf cart on the back lawn broke down then proceeds to go get his truck and trailer to get his golf cart out and then the property management looked at us like it was us. Horrible communication between the property management. I was in contact with one person on Vrbo. Then a second person met me at the property to look at it. Then a third showed up to let me in. Not one of them relayed information to the other. I will never be back here or anywhere lush property management rents.

Everything was so nice and we enjoyed it so much.

We all fished from the dock and caught fish, the walk out to the dock was pretty dark but we just used flashlights. The property is well maintained and had what we needed to have a fabulous time.

Outstanding!!

We wanted a quick getaway from the city to a nice place on the water. Although my wife normally sleeps in while not working, she woke up every morning just to sit at the edge of the water and take in the scenery. We had plenty of space, and could have fit another family. The Property Manager was both friendly and professional, giving us great recommendations around the area and quickly answering any questions. Also, there were two refrigerators, which made it very easy to stay organized. We'll definitely be back!

Excellent location and beautiful property

I loved the location of this property, on the edge of a small finger of the lake. I was a little worried driving through the surrounding neighborhood but once inside the gates it was a wonderful surprise. Highly recommend.

Great house and beautiful property!

We rented this house for a surprise 60th birthday weekend for my MIL. Overall we would rent it again and we all had a really great time! The property manager let us check in early and check out an hour later which was helpful. Our favorite things: The yard, The large kitchen table, The great living room/couch, enough beds for everyone, the view and location! Also, we never ran out of hot water and we definitely tested it's limit with 11 people! That was a huge plus! The AC was fantastic and didn't fault either. And it was 101 outside! Cons: The internet never worked for us and because of that the TV failed constantly and couldn't play anything straight through due to "no internet connection" so if you need to work or be online, this might not be the house for you. There is a roku but no cable so the internet was a must to use the tv. There were a decent amount of cobwebs inside the house and the sheets on the trundle bed weren't clean either. Overall it could have been cleaned better. Our only kitchen complaint was the lack of coffee cups. There were only 4.. which meant we had to buy a lot of disposable ones. Otherwise the kitchen was great!

Place was great!!!

The place is super nice house, I just need to add something to this .. there were a lot of spiderwebs inside the house, spiders were coming down from the chandelier while we’re eating. We killed spiders on the corners coming down from almost every corner of house. We had to water down the spiders from the backyard patio clean all the spiderwebs so we can sit and eat outside. Other than that Everything else looks clean.

The house was overall very nice. Plenty of room for everyone. The boat dock is on the other side of the property which is a little misleading in the pictures I saw. I thought it was in the middle of the 2 houses from what it looked like on the pictures. But my mistake. There really isn't a true "beach" area. The cabin has water access with stairs but the "beach" access is in the yard of the main house. It is grassy and drops off a bit quick in some places. Overall it is a very nice house and great location. The check in and out process was easy.

Very Accommodating.

The location and access to the lake was perfect. The stairs down to the water was very handy for the activities we had planned. Lawn was immaculate. Great stay!

Weekend Getaway

We had the opportunity to stay here for a long weekend to relax and enjoy the lake with family! It was perfect for adults and teenagers and we would definitely stay here again. The ease of using the boat ramp nearby and the dock made bringing a boat easy and we enjoyed our time here!

Perfect location for a fun getaway

This house had everything we needed for a fun long weekend with two young children. We were able to go swimming in the lake right in front of the cottage and play on the beach by the dock. The house was Very clean and had plenty of room to spread out. Great location for exploring the area!
