Our home used to have a large backyard that took hours to mow under the Australian summer sun. When we rebuilt in 2024, we traded endless lawn care for a more thoughtful, welcoming space. Matilda’s Urban Escape became private two-bedroom accommodation, named after one of our mums as a small family tribute and a nod to our story of coming to Australia and embracing a name that feels truly local. Built first for family and friends, it is now shared as a comfortable, private stay with heart.
