Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your stay at Neutral Ground. We truly value hearing from our guests as it allows us to identify areas where we can enhance both comfort and overall experience. Upon receiving your review, our management team visited the property to personally inspect the water quality, mattresses, and overall cleanliness. While our housekeeping and property care teams are in each home during every turnover, a new set of eyes can sometimes bring attention to details that need extra care. We did not find any issues with the color or supply of hot water during our inspection, but we are very sorry to hear that you experienced otherwise. The municipal water supply on Edisto can occasionally appear rusty or salty due to treatment cycles or temporary town system fluctuations. Fortunately, this is not an ongoing concern and has not been reported by other guests during your dates of stay. Regarding the mattresses, this is the first report we’ve received about comfort concerns at Neutral Ground. Our team evaluated each bed and cover during our visit and reached out to the homeowner regarding the replacement of any mattresses that are seven years or older. The homeowners live locally and are always open to making updates that improve guest satisfaction. Neutral Ground is one of our most frequently rented homes with a strong base of repeat guests—many of whom may be accustomed to the home’s layout and furnishings—so we sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective. While our inspection did not reveal any significant cleanliness issues beyond what we typically see late in the season, we are very sorry to hear that the home did not meet your expectations. We always encourage guests to contact our office during their stay so we can promptly address any concerns. As we enter our off-season, our team will be performing deep cleanings across our portfolio, and Neutral Ground will be high on that list due to its consistently high occupancy.
