This was again one of the better VRBO stays that we have had. Highly recommend it. The host is very responsive and has taken great care in providing an absolute wonderful location and getaway for anyone looking for peaceful, clean, quiet location with beautiful Scenic views.

We very much enjoyed our stay! Looking back at our pictures and the beauty and birdsong in the videos brought back the serene feeling we felt sitting out on the deck... This property is a must stay.

The pictures do not do this place justice. It’s like a cottage from a fairy tale. This place made my anniversary trip magical. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful property and home. We even enjoyed the birds, bees, and butterflies around the wildflower garden. Sitting on the porch was so relaxing. Close distance to Bones Jones restaurant…. Friday and Saturday night special of one prime rib dinner fed the three of us. I will be spreading the word about this VRBO…a MUST visit!

We had a wonderful stay and would gladly return! The home was cozy, beautifully decorated, and made it easy to relax and feel at home. We especially enjoyed the garden and fire pit, which were perfect places to unwind.One of our favorite things about the property was the peace and privacy it offered. Living in a large apartment complex, it was so nice to have a quiet place to escape to without neighbors right next to us. We also appreciated having a comfortable space to prepare and enjoy meals.The hosts were incredibly kind, communicative, and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We truly enjoyed our time here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Awesome private location not far from town

Stayed here with a friend to ride brown mountain OHV. Was a great place to stay only 20 minutes from the trail head. Private small home with outside fire pit and a nice living room/kitchen area to hang out.

Lovely stay in morganton!

We had such a great stay at this property. It was amazing waking up to such a beautiful and green scene. The rocking chairs were a great place to enjoy coffee in the morning. The rental had everything we needed for a nice week!

Wonderful cottage in the woods

This cottage was great for two couples. Two en-suites, comfortable living room/ kitchen area, pleasant decorations and a beautiful setting! We felt right at home and the host was very responsive, going above & beyond.

Work stay

This place was fantastic for our extended stay! We were in town working a construction job and booked this place for its convenience to town as well as the lake. The owners were fantastic and helped in anyway we needed. The property was very clean and had an immaculate landscape. I highly recommend staying here

Cute and quiet

Exactly what we needed in a weekend getaway. The house is perfect for a small family or couple. You can get to Lake James or Morganton in 10 mins. Would highly recommend!

We are driving home today after spending the last 8 days in this charming, cozy “hobbit house” (as my kids call it), and we are all so sad to leave. We are already planning another stay here in the springtime. The home and the property are as picturesque in real life as shown in the photos. Everything was clean and nicely set up. The kitchen, bathrooms and even the laundry room have every little thing you could ever need. Super comfortable beds (and my husband is very picky about mattresses)! The owners are very nice and extremely quick to respond - through messaging and over the phone. The location is quiet and relaxing surrounded by trees, but you are a short drive from grocery stores, shopping & most importantly Lake James and the Linville Gorge. Prime location! We have a 3-year-old with autism and it’s difficult for us to find a good place to stay when we go on vacation that can accommodate her needs and be appropriately kid-friendly, while also comfortable for the adults. This place was perfect! She had so much fun running exploring the garden and running around the expansive yard. The owners even left a little gift for her in the house for our arrival, which was very kind. If you are considering staying here at all, DO IT! You will not regret it.

Exceeded expectations

As a pleasant surprise, this cottage and surrounding grounds exceeded our expectations. No ordinary renetal, the upscale interior was filled with all the finishing touches one might expect in a primary residence. Without hesitation, we would stay here again in the future.

The only problem was no towels on arrival went and bought some towels were there when we got back

We never received a phone call or message saying you didn't have any towels. There are always 6 towels in the home. They never leave the home to be washed as there is a washer at the home. I can assure that no one enter the home while you were staying.

Quaint, private property

Just what we needed. This charming cottage has lots of special touches to make you feel at home. Hosts are very responsive. The property is private, yet not secluded. Planning to return to be able to explore the area more!

Perfect place for a quiet getaway

Such an adorable property! The outdoor areas have received much attention/lovely. Rain didn’t give us the chance to use fire pit or see the night sky/stars. Comfortable beds, linens, common spaces. Great location near state parks. Owners very helpful and responsive. We’ll be back!

beautiful home and grounds, would definitely stay again

Really interesting home with beautiful grounds. Very clean, well-stocked kitchen, washer and dryer. We stayed here and went hiking at South Mountains State Park. It was very convenient to the park. Lots of stars at night, with a lovely yard and a wonderful porch and fire pit from which to enjoy them. The owners were so responsive and friendly. We truly appreciated all of their communication before, during, and after our stay. We look forward to staying at this property again soon.

Scenic Cozy Spot!

We did enjoy our stay at this delightful, older venue. It had a cozy feel for 4 people with most amenities you would expect. The mama deer and baby visited each morning, so that was a sweet surprise! There were a few items that needed to be fixed but were not dire for the stay. Great place at the bottom of the mountain and easy access to Asheville for a Biltmore Estate visit!

nice vacation getaway

it was a very nice place. great setting. we enjoyed our stay. a few items that the owner might want to know: air filter in the utility room needed to be replaced. No bowls for salad/soup/cereals in the kitchen other than a few mixing bowls. the wood beam and bed corner in the bedroom by the door needed some sort of padding, since my spouse banged her legs on them getting in/out of the bed or walking toward the half bath. I wrapped a blanket around the pole and the corner as a temporary fix while we stayed there. also, might want to have a compost container in the kitchen if you want some garden compost stuffs. all in all, it was a great place. Thanks.

Nirvana ~ Private, Beautiful Lush Gardens and Relaxing Areas

Oh my! What a lovely treasure! In fact, we booked another week at this beautiful, extremely well maintained and cared for property. The owners are lovely people. We have a little blip at checking in….not at all the owners doing….thank you VRBO..not! The owners were quick to respond and could not have been nicer. My husband said he was sorta happy about the glitch, if not we wouldn’t have had the chance to make their acquaintance! The grounds are beautifully landscaped. The flowers, the sitting areas along the stone paths, in addition with the porch/deck. Flip a coin to decide where to enjoy your morning coffee. We also need to mention the amazing water pressure and great hot water provided wonderful showers. Looking forward to our return trip to enjoy some yard to table blackberries! Thank you!
