Very nice place. Outdoor space is quite and relaxing. Inside is well stocked and has ample space for rainy day activities or movie night.

Great get away - home away from home

The home was beautiful and very well stocked with all the essentials. The outdoor seating was extremely comfortable which we spent most evenings and mornings taking in the beautiful view. We highly recommend shore shack!

Family Vacation

We found this house kind of late for booking a holiday week, but it turned out to be perfect for our group. Lovely decor and accommodations, a clear and beautiful lake (with loons!!), nice neighbors, and an upper deck that was perfect for night sky viewing after playing in the lake all day. Thanks for a great family getaway!

We can’t wait to come back

This house and property was perfect. It has a great location and was the perfect place to unwind for a week. We had three families staying and there was plenty of room for everyone to be be together or have their personal space. The outdoor area is beautiful and offers a variety of places to relax through the day. We can’t wait to come back.

Adorable getaway!

Wonderful cottage right on the lake. Cute decor, amazing views, and accommodating owners. The house is stocked with all the basic amenities including a basket of snacks. Everything was very clean which allowed us to settle right in and enjoy the weekend. Very relaxing area with a short ride to restaurants and ski resorts. Highly recommend.

Family vacation

We came up to the property with the family for a week. We had a great time. The house had everything we needed. Very clean and spacious. Loved being directly on the lake. Beautiful views. Clear directions from hosts. We have little ones and they had a great time as well. We would recommend this rental to others and definitely be back. It was also a plus to rent the boat from the neighbor down the lake.

Shore Shack for the WIN!!!

We generally head south to Alabama and Florida beaches for vacation, but after staying here and experiencing Northern Michigan, we are forever changes. We had an AMAZING time in and could not have asked for a better place to stay. Todd and Debbie’s place was perfect and they thought of everything. If we needed something they had it. The kayaks and paddle boards got us out on the water for some fun and their lovely neighbors were so great to talk to for the week. We will 100% be back.

Great summer getaway

This house is great for family. The hosts are great and thoughtful. They have recommendations for things to do and supply things at the house to keep all ages busy. The kids loved swimming both at the house and at the little beach that is a short walk away that also includes a playground. House is clean and updated with plenty of space. We have family in the area and we use to have a family cabin on Manistee Lake so it’s meaningful that we can find a place to come back to with my kids. Thanks for sharing your house with us.

We enjoyed our stay! Views were wonderful. Nice quiet lake. We loved having evening bonfires on the little sandy beach area.

Perfect place for a family vacation.

The house is set up for a larger group then other rentals we looked at. Nicely equipped with most anything you will need. The owners were very accommodating.

Beautiful Lake AND house

We had everything we needed at the shore shack. Although the weather didn’t work out like we had planned, our stay was exceptional! Plenty of room for our two families and the kids had a great time playing on the deck and near the water.

Great lakeside getaway

We enjoyed our time. It was three couples, which worked perfectly since there is a bedroom/full bath on each floor. The home was very clean and had a great view. They also had a lot of water toys you could enjoy and the home was well stocked! They had a nice dock, not far from launch, and walk to water. They guys enjoyed fishing. Very family friendly. It's 15 min from town. Tips: Bring drinking water and K-cups for the Keurig. We are regular coffee people, so we had to run in town and get a cheap coffee pot.

Absolutely perfect vacation spot for our family! The house is adorable and has everything you need. The walkout area is wonderful and the beach/water area is perfect for little ones. We have already booked our return.

A perfect Michigan location!

My family had a great stay at this clean and modern lake house, it was the perfect size for our family of 10. It sits on a quiet street, next to the beautiful Manistee Lake, and is located within driving distance to several popular Michigan tourists areas. It was very clean and the outdoor lakeside area of the house was awesome! We enjoyed several meals on the nice deck overlooking the lake, and the fire pit next to the lake was a perfect location for star gazing. The check-in process was very easy, and communication with the owners was quick which helped make our stay much better as they were full of great information about the area. Being our first family vacation to Michigan, this property was perfect!

I highly recommend this VRBO!

This house was fantastic! The lower level was perfect for the tweens and teens! Beautifully decorated and felt homey as well. We would definitely rent again :)
