Woodsy Lake Retreat

Nestled in a pine forest with 90 feet of frontage at the end of Birchwood Bay on beautiful lake Hamilton Arkansas This unique 4+ bedroom 3.5 bath is close to Oaklawn Park Horse racing and Casino, shopping, Garvin Woodland gardens, mineral baths and so much more. The home sleeps 10 friendly and has sit down meal seating for a dozen or more. For those of you who need an office, there is a great space overlooking the back deck and the lake. I prefer staying here than my own home.

Boat seen in pictures is available for rent to responsible adults. please ask for more details.

Beautiful home inside and out! Very clean and nicely stocked. The hot tub, ping pong table and fence in yard were great added touches. We would definitely stay here again!

Great stay. Dogs loved having a space to run and play. I’d advise one to bring a hair dryer as there wasn’t one. Oh, and your own bath soap. Plenty of other necessities available to us. Will stay again next time we go to Hot Springs!

James, the host, is very accomodating. We had a great stay. The views were beautiful and the house floor plan was very comfortable. We enjoyed making pop corn from the "movie style" pop corn maker. Unfortunately, the hot tub wasn't working which James tried to get someone to fix it.

This house is super adorable!! Exactly as posted. The driveway is not long, so we had to park long ways. The ping pong table was so much fun!! We also had so much fun feeding geese off the dick! There was not a matress cover on the master, but everything was clean. We didnt receive check in instructions until I messaged, but he responded immediately. We never received check out instructions, so we did the normal check out things that are typical for VRBO. Overall it was great!

The house looked exactly like the listing. It was beautiful and a great location. We were close to everything we wanted to do and still had the lake feel. James was quick to answer any questions we had. Check in was easy!

Just what the doctor ordered!

I’m gonna start with the property. It was just as depicted in the photos - a marvelous lake house, decorated as such, with all the amenities listed and desired. We had plenty of room for the six of us (3 adults and 3 kids). The kids were 6, 11, & 13. The kitchen was large with plenty of counter space which included a bar. All of the kitchen tools needed, plus some and abundant cabinet storage. We cooked breakfast every morning and dinner most evenings and had ample storage and prep room for a weeks worth of groceries. The outdoor area was very nice with plenty of room for all of us. Also, the grill was practically new which we enjoyed. Next, the area and lake were awesome. Lake Hamilton and the local eateries were somewhat upscale and inviting. The food choices were many as well as variety. The area close to the property felt safe, as well as the merchants we visited near the neighborhood. Jim, the owner, was very attentive and receptive to all of our needs and questions. He was genuinely interested in making our stay as pleasant as possible. We really enjoyed our time there. The house, area, and owner made it a great vacation spot. I would definitely recommend staying at Jim’s lake house, you won’t be disappointed.

Great Lake House

Great house for our family reunion stay. We had 6 adults and our dogs and there was plenty of room for everyone. The deck was great, even though it was hot outside we did use the hot tub. The beds were very comfortable. We did have use of the boat which was the hi-lite of the trip. We used it for water skiing and to get to a restaurant for dinner. Nice area and neighborhood.

Nice home close to everything you need and a bonus being on the lake

We all enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for our group. The back deck was really nice and enjoyed our geese that visited everyday. We had a few issues at the beginning but the owner was easy to communicate with and very helpful. If you’re looking for a nice home within a short drive to everything and on the lake , this is definitely the place. Thank you for a wonderful stay :)

We had a fantastic time at the Woodsy Lake Retreat! The home was exactly what we were hoping for—very spacious with plenty of bedrooms to comfortably accommodate our group. Everyone had enough room to spread out and relax, but the common areas were also perfect for spending time together.The location is great—quiet and private, tucked away just enough to feel secluded, but still close to everything you need. The lake access is absolutely wonderful—easy to get to and perfect for swimming, kayaking, or just sitting by the water with a drink in hand.The house was well-stocked with all the amenities we needed, and you can tell it’s been thoughtfully set up for guests. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and made our stay super comfortable.Overall, it was a peaceful, relaxing retreat that gave us the perfect mix of downtime and lake fun. Would definitely come back again!

Calming views with a great location for a hot springs getaway!

The views and scenery were amazing! We loved all the windows to take it all in. We had some rainy days here and there so the ping pong table and board games were an extra bonus to keep us entertained. The fishing was great with some night crawlers, it kept the family entertained for days. The hot tub was plenty warm. Property was clean and inviting. Plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was nicely stocked, paper towels included and they had great coffee options. The Owner was a pleasure to talk to. As a prev review said Sam’s Pizza is just down the road, we enjoyed the food and scenery there as well.

Great location and great time!!!

Custom built home with a great deck. Home is nestled in a quiet cove. Owner was prompt to replies. Very peaceful setting. A minutes drive to Sam’s Pizza, bar and restaurant. Big screen TV is nice. Hot tub was enjoyable.

First of all i picked this place for the hot tub and it was outdated and only kinda worked the first day.The house had dirty sheets and only one roll of paper towels. No blinds on any windows and the upstairs rooms for not very secure for kids to sleep up there has a door with small lock and no blinds. No broom so we couldn’t even keep a clean floor while visiting.One tv in the whole house and internet was lagging a lot. No out door playground and the game room is a bunch ofold nasty chairs and a pingpong table. Also the game room has a bunch of junk all over for kinds to trip and like 3 closets have junk hazards in them. I layed good money for the house and it was a huge disappointment.

The location was good for visiting Hot Springs National Park, Oaklawn and Garvan Gardens. It worked well for group of 4 couples. Only negative comment would be that it needed a good deep cleaning, base boards, walls and cabinets needed washing badly

Christmas Getaway

Location was excellent. Short drive to all the places we wanted to see. Love that we were provided with fire log starters and plenty of firewood to burn along with other basics that you usually have to buy yourself (trash bags, toilet paper, soap). Loved the layout and spaciousness of the house Property could use some updating and deep cleaning. The hot tub was also not functioning properly which was very disappointing.since it’s one of the reasons we choose this location.

A Thankful Fall Stay

My family and I traveled from Texas to stay near my parents in Hot Springs during Thanksgiving week. The weather was very chilly and windy, and the lake was down, but otherwise it was absolutely gorgeous. The fall colors lingered and the leaves crunched as my kids played in the yard. The home is very well maintained and has a lot of character, with brick floors and exposed beams. Our kids absolutely loved the house, played hide and seek, ping pong, and hanging out on the comfy couches. The kitchen is reasonably outfitted, the most convenient item being a large air fryer which is a must with small kids! This is a large house, with a kitchenette upstairs (and its own separate entrance), which makes it an ideal place to stay for a family gathering. The location is perfectly situated on the lake, close to one of the main roads in Hot Springs, but far enough back that it’s supremely quiet. We dream one day of owning a lake house in Hot Springs just like it, but will settle for booking again!

Good place to stay

Good place to stay for friends visiting the National Park, easy to get to Central Ave. attractions. Very easy to get to beautiful Garvan Woodland Gardens. Nice spacious living area open to the kitchen.
