BEAUTIFUL WATERFRONT ESCAPE

Get away for a short term vacation or longer term stay for a change of work scenery to this gorgeous lakefront house perfectly situated minutes from Seneca falls, Ithaca, the outlets and all of the wineries on both Cayuga and Seneca Lakes. Recently renovated, this charming house is completely furnished for your enjoyment and comfort. This house has an open concept kitchen/dining/living room overlooking pristine Cayuga lake and is perfect for gatherings and enjoying friends and family. This home offers water views from every bedroom with the largest bedroom opening onto an enclosed porch with 180 degree lake views. There is an additional living room/game room upstairs that can also be used as a sleeping porch (4th bedroom). The house is just steps from the water and also offers grassy yards on the lower and upper portions of the property. There is a full bathroom on the upper level where the bedrooms are located and a half bath for convenience on the lower level. ALL THE INSIDE AMENITIES YOU COULD WANT ARE PROVIDED FOR YOUR COMFORT AND STRESS-FREE LIVING: free WiFi, two cable TVs (living room and large bedroom) and a Roku TV in the sleeping porch, microwave, Keurig machine, Ninja, cookware and serving ware, washer/dryer, linens, extra blankets, comfy couches, two living areas, and soothing dĂ©cor. OUTSIDE, EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO RELAX AND HAVE FUN ARE PROVIDED: BBQ grill, kayaks, paddle boards and inflatable rafts. THE LOCATION CANNOT BE BEAT.  A four and a half hour drive from NYC and 45 minutes from two major airports (Syracuse and Rochester).  The house is minutes from all the Finger Lake wineries, the town of Seneca Falls (where “It’s a Wonderful Life” was filmed and the home of the first women's rights convention), and a newly constructed women’s history museum. The house is also not far from the popular and charming Skaneateles. An easy one-mile walk brings you to a state park on the lake with trails, a boat launch, sandy beaches, a playground and picnic tables.

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the house and within 15 feet of the house. Although the house is not child-proof, children are welcome.  Occupancy is limited to 6 maximum, but with prior notice, can sleep up to 8. The house offers parking for 3 vehicles. Note: there is a flight of steps to get from the parking area at road level to the house at lake level but when you see what LIVING ON THE LAKE offers, it is completely worth it.

Beautiful lakefront property. Back deck or sleeping porch were wonderful places to watch the sunrise. Beds very comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. Great communication with host. Would definitely stay again

The view of Cayuga Lake from the patio and the living room was as beautiful as advertised and the property was well stocked for our visit. I will say, arachnophobes may want to avoid, since we encountered plenty of 8-legged friends in the cabin, but that didn't bother any of us since we're used to country life. As light sleepers, all the creaks and knocking of the house did make it difficult to sleep peacefully.

Fantastic week on the lake at this cute cottage. Despite lots to do in the surrounding area, we barely left the property - bouncing between the multiple rooms and outdoor spaces. Amazing sunrises. Lots of water toys to play with. Hosts were very responsible and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Lake Haven

Excellent stay during 4th of July week. The house is a gem on Cayuga Lake. Great Location. House has everything that you need to enjoy your time on the lake. We enjoyed the kayaks and the stand up paddleboard as well.

Exactly as the pictures indicated lakefront literally by 10 steps and well appointed well maintained and very clean cabin. Will stay here again if I have the opportunity with my family.

Relaxing Family Time at Cayuga Lake

Charming and well stocked with anything you need in the kitchen (I would only add a meat thermometer), we really enjoyed our stay here. Plenty of supplies on hand and paddle boards etc to enjoy the lake. We loved the porches and the fire pit. The host and manager were easy to contact for incidental needs/questions.The stairs are pretty steep if you have mobility issues. Overall wonderful!

Mid -week Finger Lakes getaway with ftiends

Nice lake front property. Just what we wanted to visit with friends. We chose to eat at home each nite and the kitchen was great to work in. Plenty of dining out options also near by. Many of the wineries are within 15 minutes of the house. Great overall experience! are within 15 min of the house.

A beautiful escape

A truly wonderful house situated right on the lake - you literally are just steps from the water once you leave the adorable back porch! Clean house with everything you could need - and the views are stunning. It was wonderful to see the sunrise on the lake every morning from the sleeping porch. Shops are not a far drive, and there are beautiful state parks nearby as well. Highly recommend this listing - and we hope to come back in the summer. 🙂

Cute Cottage on the Lake

We were very pleased with our stay. Kitchen was well stocked and it was very clean. We were a little disappointed with the back porch as we had to clean it off as it was covered in cobwebs/small spiders. But other than that we had a very nice time and would stay here again.

This home, located right on the lake is beautiful! The owner offered the use of all inflatables, kayaks and paddle boards throughout our stay! When power went out due to a severe storm during our stay, the VRBO manager contacted us immediately with the information of restoration time. This property is well worth the trip and investment! We made wonderful memories and can’t wait to go back!

Overall very good. The house had wonderful amenities and useful necessities as described. Very well stocked. Two rooms were a bit smaller than I expected and more outside lm stairs than anticipated. I was unaccustomed to the degree of midges and spiderwebs that accumulated so quickly but the lake proximity was wonderful. Easier access for kayak launching would be helpful. The area is wonderful. The decor was lovely.

Great House! Great Location! Perfect for a family.

A wonderful family trip! The property is really well suited for families. The house was clean and organized when we arrived, which made it easy to maintain during our stay. The kitchen had the extras that make cooking easy (oil, salt, pepper) and the cookware set looked new and safe to use. Lawn care came once and like magic it was done while we were out. My son taught himself to stand-up paddle board, we met the neighbors, and used the float mat. We went to Sauders Market (too many times). We ventured to the outlet mall (15 minutes away) and then and the Children's Museum in Rochester (50 minutes away). Follow the owners guidance about safety on the steps, dock, and in the lake. For example we did run over to the Walmart about ten minutes away to get a perfectly sized life jacket for my son. The house provided several life jackets but they were in a couple general sizes. I loved this house so much.

Perfect oasis for your getaway

My family wanted a peaceful getaway and this place was perfect for that. My family kayaked, used the swim pad, paddle boarded and basically floated around all week. At night, we hit a few breweries and wineries or just stayed in and had a fire pit. We stayed during the 4th and neighbors near and across the lake put on beautiful firework displays. If you’re looking for the peaceful getaway, you’ve found it. Look no further!

Great house on a beautiful Lake

We loved our stay at this house on the lake. Everything was clean when we checked in and the views of the lake from both floors are amazing. The master bedroom has an attached sunroom that is wonderful to see when you wake up in the morning. Everything we needed was in the house from the kitchen to the bathrooms and even plenty of seating outside. I can't say enough how clean the house was when we arrived! So appreciated that!
