Big Views! Between Blowing Rock and Boone.

Welcome to Point Of View! Enjoy BIG VIEWS from high atop Appalachian Ski Mountain, just minutes from all the amenities the High Country has to offer including shopping and dining in downtown Blowing Rock and Boone! Completely remodeled and updated, this 5BR/5.5BA furnished mountain home is sure to impress. The main level boasts a Great Room with hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings with exposed log beams, a stone fireplace, and a wall of windows to enjoy the views. Adjoining the Great Room is a high-end kitchen complete with stainless appliances, granite countertops, and a large bar. The dining room is surrounded by walls of windows to allow for maximum view enjoyment while dining. An expansive open back deck spans the back of the home and provides tons of space to relax and take in the amazing views. The Master Suite is conveniently located on the main level, while the upper level features two bedrooms, an updated full bath, and a reading nook/loft. The lower level has a second Master Suite, a fifth bedroom, a family room with a stone fireplace, and two additional bathrooms. Walk-out to the lower deck from the family room, and enjoy a covered deck for all-weather enjoyment complete with a firepit and big views! During the months of November through April, a four-wheel-drive vehicle is needed.

We found the house to be spotlessly clean, with everything in place for our arrival. The space/layout inside suited us perfectly, with king bedrooms for all of us, a spacious, comfortable, and cozy den with terrific views, and a well-organized and generously supplied kitchen.The home’s location, between Boone and Blowing Rock, is very convenient, with easy access to both downtown areas.The host couple could not have been better - a few minor concerns arose during our stay, and our queries were responded to almost immediately, and the issues were resolved promptly and completely.

Point of View cabin really delivered on its promises of big views! Gorgeous panoramic mountain ridge line and forest to enjoy from every room and the spacious decks. We had a large family gathering before Thanksgiving and the beautiful home was perfect for our stay. Well equipped kitchen for us to prepare our big turkey day fixings. Lots of fun toys and games to keep the kids busy and a great location near shops and downtown Blowing Rock. Would absolutely stay here again! Thanks to our hosts’ prompt and frequent communication we knew what to expect and felt very welcomed.

Spectacular

This is by far the best home we have rented in the 20 years we have gathered with family for summer vacation. Plenty of privacy and getaways if needed, glorious view, well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds. The favorite spot was the fire pit area downstairs. Lauren is quick to respond and very gracious. Thank you for a perfect vacation!

Great house!

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend girl's getaway. We wanted for nothing! Beds were all comfortable, bathrooms were plentiful (for 8 women!), seating areas were accommodating for our group and comfortable - including the dining table chairs. There were cozy nooks and an exercise room. We even did some yoga in the downstairs common room. We loved the big porch to sit and read, or have a cup of tea, or glass of wine. The view off the deck is amazing! We enjoyed the firepit table on the lower deck the evening we arrived. The kitchen was spacious, clean and very well stocked! There are 2 refrigerators to accommodate a large crowd. The house is very short drive to Boone or Blowing Rock so there is plenty to do - or not! We look forward to returning!

Like going home!

We had a wonderful long weekend stay. Close to skiing and other Boone/Blowing Rock activities. The house was designed beautifully to accommodate families and friends. We all had plenty of room. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. Truly felt like we were at home!

Great Mountain House

This house is great! We have stayed here for multiple years, each time the house is very comfortable. Always clean and well maintained. Communication with the Owners is prompt. This house has views for miles and miles. Sunrises are breathtaking from the kitchen and decks. Close enough to run into town or be at Appalachian Ski Mountain in 10 minutes but just far enough to "be in the mountains" and away from it all.

Great Vacation Spot

Excellent Property with Amazing Views

We had a wonderful stay with family over Thanksgivig. The property is well equipped, with 2 refrigerators, and 2 washers and dryers. The kitchen has everything you need! We will be back for sure.

The house was great! We loved the layout, the neighborhood and the quiet. A few suggestions-the right hand side of the grill would not light and the second propane tank was empty, the damp rid bags were about full and may need emptying, and bathroom hand sanitizer was low. These were just FYI for you. No complaints about the house and Lauren's responsiveness wa spot on. Thanks!

Gorgeous House and Views

The property was beautiful and fit the needs of our large group wonderfully. The kitchen was very well stocked. We loved the layout with a large amount of not only bedrooms but also bathrooms. It is hard to find a place that not only has enough rooms, but a large enough space for us all to gather. We enjoyed both the fireplace and the fire pit. The views are also gorgeous. We loved our time here.

Amazing Views

We so enjoy our stay. The home is perfectly located between both Blowing Rock & Boone! We had awesome hikes, shopping, and special family time. The house was a perfect size, allowing for privacy for everyone, and well equipped. Only down side was there was no pool table, which disappointed the adults. I would definitely recommend this home😊

We had a wonderful vacation at this beautiful home. Lauren was responsive to our questions and the home was amazing. The location was perfect and our children and grandchildren had plenty of room to spread out. The house was one of the best stocked homes we have stayed in. Another fantastic stay at this great house!

This was the second time our group of four couples rented this fabulous house. Just like last year, everything was perfect from the moment we walked in the door. The house was incredibly clean and comfortable, and the views are so beautiful, from sunrise to sunset. The house is very conveniently located - we went to lunch in Boone one day and Blowing Rock the next, and both restaurants were just a 10-minute drive. There is plenty of room to spread out and relax, and we loved the big table for playing games and eating together in the evening. Although it was cold, we still enjoyed plenty of time out on the deck, which had furniture for all 8 of us. Our group has been vacationing together for 20 years, and this is our favorite house. We hope to be there again next year!
