Family Cabin in Detroit Lakes

Detroit Lakes, MN is the perfect vacation destination and there’s something for everyone here! Whether it is fishing, boating, biking, or browsing the cute shops on Main Street; you’re sure to find plenty to do! Don't forget to find all the trolls!

On the main level you will find two bedrooms, kitchen, dining, a full bath, laundry room, and a living area to enjoy the lake view, or relax next to the unique electric fireplace. Outdoor space has a grill, firepit, patio seating and a spacious back yard. This location is family friendly and has wonderful, kind neighbors!

This property is near downtown Detroit Lakes, Big Detroit Lake access, and is within walking distance to a new park that includes pickleball courts!

Detroit Lakes Lake Home

This property was located right on big Detroit Lake so it had a lovely view. We only stayed a few days, but the home met our basic needs. We ate out each day - there are a lot of good restaurants in the area. We were able to use the dock at the property, however the ramp to the dock seemed to be a bit worse for wear (in addition to the dock bench). Gloria was quick to respond to any of our questions.

Pleasant Little Lake Cabin

Family in town for a Senior HS Graduation. All five slept comfortably and enjoyed the location and lake view.

A gem

The location, cleanliness and attention to detail was perfect for my purpose (fishing trip) but would work just as well for a family vacation. Huge flat yard with frontage, nearby park. Great communication by owner. Overall, a very solid experience.

Fabulous family fun at the lake

The property is absolutely beautiful with large lakefront access, a huge front and backyard for games and even provided a paddle boat and kayaks. Plenty of room for all of us to hang out

Wonderful Detroit Lakes Cabin

My husband & I had the best stay at this beautiful cabin. It was very clean, the check in/out process was a breeze, allowed us to bring our dog, and it was a great location! The hosts had wonderful communication and were very on top of the snow removal! Highly recommend this cabin for any type of getaway!

Great Stay

Great location on the lake, especially if you have a dog as part of your family. This was the best property I could find on the lake on various rental sites that would allow a pup.

Perfect Location

The property was in a perfect location. Near enough to Detroit lakes to run into town, but very quiet when just sitting by the lake. House is solid and comfortable. The backyard is a great place to relax and enjoy the Lake.

It was a fabulous place to stay!

We really enjoyed our short stay here! We were a little bummed simply because the lake really wasn’t swimmable due to weeds. Also a note that the beds had very firm mattresses and weren’t great for fussy sleepers.

Enjoyable Stay and Fantastic Location!

We had a wonderful time with our family here! The location is amazing with close proximity to restaurants, boat gas, and the sand bar. The lake also offers a beautiful public beach, several restaurants accessible by boat, coffee shop, and beautiful sunsets! Gloria responds very quickly to your messages. The neighbors are great and will enjoy visiting! Enjoy your stay!

Not quite rental ready

I believe we were the first to rent this property. While the location and grounds are fantastic, the house itself needs work. Many of the appliances were outdated and the fridge broke during our stay. The inside and outside of the house need to be deep cleaned. There were cobwebs all over the outside, and we didn’t feel the inside was cleaned well prior to our arrival. The basement is very dated and we didn’t feel comfortable staying down there. We would recommend new sheets, new towels, a deep clean, updating appliances and cabinets, and posting pictures of all rooms in the house so renters are aware of the whole offering. A clear check out process is recommended too, so renter knows what is expected of them to check out. The hosts were kind and responsive during our stay. This could be a truly wonderful rental, right on the water. Just needs a bit of work!
