Needs a Little TLC
Inside of home was cute, except for a few things. I can tell the owner tried to update the home, but property needs TLC, unkept outside. Literally checked in Friday night and found garbage from old guests strewn all over front of property - in which I cleaned because it looked horrible. Main bathroom needs love, shower curtain was very mildewed, floor dirty, broken tiles, cobwebs. Nowhere in the home is there privacy curtains - you can literally see straight thru in every room; was very uncomfortable in using the bathroom/ showering because the deck is right outside so all guests (and anyone else for that matter) can see right inside, inside of fridge was not clean, one side of home got really cold while the other side did not. Owner was super sweet and very responsive, however home can use a good cleaning. Millipedes were constantly infiltrating the house and were being stepped on unknowingly by the family (which was gross I had to keep cleaning them up, sweeping them out or killing them. Listen, I go camping with my family in the outdoors every year, when inside of a home, I dont want to see these bugs IN the house. You pay all this $ for a cleaning fee and clearly it's not being used properly. Got hit with "additional guest fees" the morning of my check-in, which was apparently in the fine print which no one reads, but at least when I rent elsewhere, the # charges are is transparent upon booking for my amount of guests. 1st time renting on VRBO
