Are you as obsessed with A-Frame architecture as we are? Now is your chance to stay at a fully remodeled, one-of-a-kind, enormous A-Frame ski lodge just minutes from the Solitude and Brighton ski areas. This home IS NOT located in Park City.

Relax in the spacious cedar sauna, take a dip in the hot tub, enjoy a massage in the zero-G massage chair, or just curl up on the couch next to the lodge-style fireplace and take in the views of the Solitude ski area. Whatever your adventure, the Nordic Haus has you covered; located just one minute away from the IKON-PASS ski resort Solitude, and 5 minutes from the Brighton ski resort. For our ski-touring guests, the Nordic Haus is immediately adjacent to a skin track which doubles as a beautiful hiking and biking trail in the summer months.

Enjoy 5,000+ square feet of fully refinished spacious living and dining areas including two fully stocked kitchens, two dining areas, 2 large living rooms, a game and reading loft, and a children's loft complete with spiral staircase and Scandinavian themed wooden toys. The home's comfortable 5 bedrooms and attached bathrooms will easily accommodate large groups and gatherings. Find hours of entertainment with the 75" 4k UHD TV screen, movie collection, board games, high speed internet, pool table, and zero-G massage chair.

Two large decks, a spacious cedar sauna, private hot tub and lower patio, enormous fire-pit seating area, horse shoe ring, corn hole boards, picnic area, and ample outdoor activity space should keep everyone entertained when not adventuring in Utah's incredible outdoors. The Bear Trap Fork hiking trail departs immediately from the cabin and provides a beautiful hiking challenge that eventually accesses the famous Wasatch Crest biking and hiking ridge-line trail. A short 5 minute walk from the Nordic Haus and you will find yourself dining in one of Big Cottonwood Canyon's best eateries, the Silverfork Lodge.

Great cabin

This cabin was spacious and gave our extended family plenty of room for privacy and large gathering places also. The home was well stocked with necessities and the hosts were very responsive if we had questions. Location is great and plenty of parking. We would definitely book there again for a large group.

Perfect

This property was perfect! We used it as a base for us and our friends for the weekend of our wedding. It was close to our wedding venue and the perfect spot to unwind before and after all the festivities. The amenities are incredible, as well as the location. We had a perfect stay!

Perfect Stay for Families

Great house and great location for skiing Solitude and Brighton. The home’s layout is great for families and the house is equipped with board games and small toys to keep children entertained in between trips to the slopes. The kitchen is well-stocked with good cooking equipment for those who prefer cooking at home. We throughly enjoyed our stay and hope to make it back next year.

Beautiful, comfortable, and spacious!

I needed a place with lots of room to connect, and a big table for art and food. This was perfect. It felt high end and spacious without sacrificing the cozy. So grateful my group was able to stay in this beautiful lodge in the breathtaking mountains.

Solitude 2023

College friends annual ski trip. Skied Alta and Solitude over the long weekend. Had the perfect winter storm while we were there. Lots of snow and a lot of laughs with great friends.

This house was perfect for our guys ski trip. Was impressed by pics and description, but reality was even better. Plenty of room and well laid-out house. Poximity to Solitude and Brighton was key. Ate a few times at Silver Fork which was awesome (and just a couple hundred yards away).

Such an incredible cabin!

We absolutely loved this cabin! It was perfect for our family reunion. Everything is beautiful and clean! We had fun with the pool table, playing games, sitting in the hot tub, roasting marshmallows by the fire, and just visiting. The massage chair was a fun surprise! Double kitchens and four bathrooms made for a great experience. Check out was so easy.

Our stay at The Nordic Haus was absolutely incredible! The location is ideal for anyone looking to explore the beauty of Utah's great outdoors, with plenty of nearby adventures to enjoy. After a day of exploring, it was the perfect retreat to relax and recharge. The amenities were top-notch, providing everything we could possibly need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. 50th Anniversary Celebration with Family

This was a wonderful place to stay. Plenty of room for all of us. We had a great time. My only suggestion is to bring bug spray for flies outside. There are so many that being out on the lower deck was difficult for too long. Chalk it up to being outdoors! Inside was great!

Awesome Alpine A Frame

The cabin is lovely.There was plenty of space for our large family and grandchildren. We loved the large dining table both for eating and craft projects. (We covered the beautiful table with a tablecloth-just in case). Our grandchildren enjoyed playing games, riding their scooters on the long driveway and hiking up at Brighton. The location is terrific, easy to get to and not far from great hiking Silver Lake and all the amazing beauty of the Big Cottonwood Canyon. We would definitely go there again.

Fabulous Family Retreat

Our family had a wonderful 3-day retreat. The cabin was the perfect setting! It was beautiful, and beautifully decorated. There was plenty of gathering space and fun things to do. The bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect as well. The kitchen was well-stocked and easy to provide meals for a large group. The surrounding area was so incredibly beautiful, and provided lots of opportunities for outdoor activities. The owners were very responsive to our questions and needs - they made the stay easy and flawless. Everyone in our family (school-age kids to grandparents) said this was THE BEST location we have ever had for our family retreat! THANK YOU!

Wonderful Early Season Ski Weekend

First of all this property is immaculate and we loved every second of our weekend. We stayed a Thursday night to a Sunday morning with skiing on Friday and Saturday. This place worked perfect for my group. Easy access to Brighton and Solitude resort. The private drive had snow removed before we returned from the resort which was nice. So much room in the backyard for play. Plenty of snowballs were thrown. The upstairs kitchen made for very easy cooking of large meals for a group of people, while the downstairs kitchen was used well as the snack/drink area. Plenty of area to enjoy a football game downstairs. And the sauna was a great touch the morning after a little to much apres ski. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. Made for a weekend full of memories. Hope to book this property next year for our annual ski trip. Thanks!

The A frame was absolutely perfect for our stay over our wedding weekend. It made the perfect backdrop for photos during getting ready. The space is gorgeous and perfectly described in the listing. Will be recommending to anyone looking for a rental in BCC.

Amazing house!!

We LOVED this house - highly recommend! We stayed the last weekend of April, so sort of shoulder season, and it was a great time to go. The lifts were still open but we didn't end up downhill skiing and opted for snowshoeing instead (which was also very fun). Some of our group went down the mountain ~15 min and did a hike that was completely dry (no snow at all) so it provided variety. As far as the house itself goes, it was fantastic. Loved that there are multiple levels, so we could hang out in different places. We had 17 people total, all adults in our mid-late 30s. Some couples, lots of singles. As far as sleeping arrangements go, most of the rooms are totally regular but we did end up having two single people sleep up in the loft as well to space people out a bit. The beds in the loft are a bit shorter so, we couldn't have people who were taller than maybe 5'10" up there. Also, the loft doesn't have a door, so sound travels, so we ended up hanging out in the basement area late and night and then put early risers up there because you can hear people in the kitchen. Overall, everything was really, really nice. Like all of the other reviews say, it's a lovely space. Everything was clearly thought out, and plenty of supplies. We really liked having two full kitchens, and did food upstairs and drinks downstairs. We also were often running both dishwashers at once, which was nice. They also have a huge (like, industrial size) washer/dryer, which was really helpful to use for towels so people could have fresh towels for the hot tub and sauna. The host was also great at communicating and was quick to try to fix anything that went wrong. Not sure what other info is helpful that hasn't been shared in other reviews, but overall, would definitely come back if we could! Cheers!

Incredible stay in Big Cottonwood

Absolutely perfect home for a large group of skiers. Very functional, incredibly unique, and beautifully furnished. Could not recommend more for a large group, especially for skiers that like to cook and eat!

Fabulous girls getaway

We really enjoyed our time at this property! It was perfect for a large group of women, and the property owner was extremely responsive when we realized we needed more wine glasses. Highly recommend.

What a magical weekend!

This property is gorgeous, well equipped, modern, and clean. We had the best time in and out of the house. Soaking in the hot tub and sauna. We had a full house and there was plenty of space for everyone. We had a small family wedding here and I couldn’t think of a more beautiful or intimate place for our family to gather and spend the weekend together.

An Absolute Dream!

We rented this beautiful property for our wedding weekend at the end of September. Since the entire bridal party for our wedding was coming in from out of state we decided to rent a large home to sleep everybody in one place and make it easier to get ready the morning of. This home was an absolutely dream... It was so nice to find a place that could sleep all adults comfortably in queen beds. had enough bathrooms for everyone to shower, and the two kitchens were a great help. Having the sauna, hot tub, and pool table were added bonuses that helped to make our weekend even more fun and relaxing.

Absolutely gorgeous location!

The cabin has be redone in a contemporary, comfortable way and we very much enjoyed our stay there, however the cabin is not air conditioned and the upstairs bedrooms were very warm. The location is outstanding and we enjoyed several nearby hikes. We loved that all of us could sit down and eat together.
