Wonderful respite

Alicia's house is a gem in a quiet neighborhood of York close to beaches, town, and all that southern Maine has to offer.

Wonderful Stay

This was a wonderful house for our girls' trip! The house was extremely clean, beautifully decorated and had high quality cooking equipment. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable and the shower had good heat and water pressure. The property is beautiful and convenient. Staying here was a delight and has set the bar for our next trip. Highly recommend!

Our best ever VRBO experience…

Other VRBO members could learn much from Alicia on how to present a home for the optimum renter experience. Her place was so much better stocked and more artfully appointed than any other we have used over years with VRBO…it isn’t even close. Spending time in Maine is always cherished…staying in Alicia’s home made it exceptional.

Excellent!

Stayed for a fall weekend with my husband, 12yo, and infant. House was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Note that the king bed is in the basement; the queen, full, and twin bedrooms are on the main floor. Overall, this was a great home base for us to explore the seacoast!

Wonderful Stay in ME

House was beautiful and equipped with everything you need. Even coffee for a nice touch for the morning. Rooms were comfortable. The only suggestion I would say is to replace the master toilet with a 17-19 foot toilet for comfort to an elderly person as myself. Thank you for a splendid stay and hope to be up that way again soon.

Lovely York get away

This is a very lovely, designer decorated property on a quiet dead end street. The backyard looks into woods. We enjoyed running and walking along Fisherman's path, crossing the wiggly bridge, and a short trek through Steedman's woods. York is not a busy tourist town compared to some of its up-shore and down-shore neighbors, but easy to get places. The property was well stocked with a terrific, modern kitchen, contemporary cooking ware & appliances. One of our most favorite VRBO properties ever.

Gorgous house, easy walk to beach

Alicia’s home is so comfortable and meticulously planned out for her renters. The house is beautifully decorated with just about everything you could ever imagine you needed. The kitchen is well stocked, and the entire house was so clean. We enjoyed a 15 min easy walk to Harbor Beach, had a campfire, grilled some food, and even sat on the lovely farmers porch during a rainstorm. The king bed in the basement was cozy, but there was no egress, and it was musty (dehumidifier helped). There is a charge for extra people even though the listing states it accommodates more. I would stay here again, but probably with less people. We had a lovely time and were very comfortable.

Non stop rain has affected the humidity levels in all of my finished basement units at the time of your stay, flooding has happened throughout Maine in many houses when they are normally dry all seasons. Fortunately mine did not flood but there was more moisture than usual which may be why you felt it was "musty" and that was why i provided a dehumidifier. there is a second door exit with an exterior stair exit in the case of emergency that could be unlocked anytime you needed. The house sleeps up to ten people but is adverse, if you read the details it states how much larger groups could .

A little bit of heaven

This house was excellent. We had never been to the Maine coast and were looking for a home to be our "base" as we explored. It was perfect. The house is cozy, comfortable and extremely well designed. Everything has high end designer touches and it is very well equipped. The beds are very comfortable. The owner was very responsive and helpful in every possible way. It's location is wonderful for exploring other areas and just a quick drive to the several York area beaches. Dinner on the deck included many visits from wildlife into the yard and the fire pit was wonderful. We would love to return to this house again. It was truly a little bit of heaven. The only draw back we found, there is no cable so the television is all streaming. Not a bad thing.

Pristine gorgeous coastal experienxe

This house is immaculate l, designed beautifully and the location is perfect for anything you could imagine for the coastal southern Maine experience!! We loved the open design of the house, the fire pit, soaking tub and outdoor shower and the beautiful porch! A close drive from long sands beach, a beautiful walk from short sands beach and very close drive to many other amazing activities like visiting Fort McClary and Ogunuit. This house allowed us to make the most of our stay with family and we honestly would love to book it again next summer!

The house is beautifully decorated. The yard is pristine. Amenities plenty. The location is quiet and very close to York Harbor beach. There is sidewalk available from the house to the beach. The host is very responsive and accommodating. Had the best time!

Quaint Location

The home is very well appointed with everything you need to be comfortable and feel at home. It has a back deck with barbecue and fire pit in the yard. Close to York beaches and in a very safe neighborhood.

House was clean & nicely decorated. Had almost all the amenities we needed. However no access to washer/dryer that we thought was included unless we paid an addtnl fee for access code to locked room. We were originally given noon ck-out, then changed to 11am. Last night we were told to be out by 10am. Long list of check-out cleaning instructions even tho we paid a large cleaning fee. Disappointing. Lots of texts from owner during our stay, including showing up on the property during our stay.

The listing describes all amenities that are included, I have never automatically included laundry access. There were extra guests in your party not included in our agreement which increases cleaning time, but I did not receive additional payment for them per our agreement. Unfortunately the pandemic has changed the check out time due to a shortage of labor in Maine and extensive cleaning protocols. There are only 3 requests I ask from guests for a covid safe check out and it's standard fare. Any texts from me were answers to your questions, pertinent instructions or a one time check in to see if everything was going ok bc I care that my guests are happy. The only person who came on the property during your stat was the lawn mower or trash collection which is part of mandatory maintenance.

The house was bright, clean and private. Two of the beds were "full size" and were not comfortable for two adults. There was an added charge of $100 for the use of the washer and dryer which was not listed in the amenities. Unpleasant neighbor with roaming dog.

Im sorry there was a misunderstanding, I make a concerted effort to represent my property as accurately as possible. The Laundry was a brand new addition that was finished the day before you arrived, I made an exception to allow your family to use it which I explained before your arrival to you daughter and wife . All my beds are excellent quality new beds and I have hosted about 40 other couples with no complaints.

Perfect Lodging Option in York

This house was perfect for our family of four (2 adults, 2 teenagers). The house was sparkling clean with every amenity you could imagine. The outdoor shower was a big hit. Impeccable design inside and out. Thank you, Alicia, for allowing our family to share your beautiful house!
