Brought to you by GetAway Vacations- Welcome to your coastal getaway in the Short Sands Beach area of York Beach, ME! Ideally located just off Broadway, this bright and inviting two-story home offers three bedrooms and two bathrooms, including one with a peek at the ocean.
The home features a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, and electric stove, plus the convenience of an in-home washer and dryer so you can pack light. High-speed Wi-Fi, a flat screen TV, and a stereo system are included for your entertainment. Outside, you ll find a covered deck with a gas BBQ, a firepit, an outdoor shower, and a beach cart to make your seaside days even easier. Sleeping arrangements include two queen beds, bunk beds, and a futon.
Just a short 3/10 mile stroll brings you to Short Sands Beach, with seasonal bus service to Ogunquit and Long Sands. Shops, restaurants, arcades, basketball courts, and a playground are all close by, making this the perfect spot for both relaxation and fun.
From the lively town center to the charming neighborhood setting, you ll be minutes from everything York Beach has to offer.

Love the home! It was perfect for my wife and I and our two daughters. Having three bedrooms upstairs was great for naps and bedtime. Easy walk to the beach. Back yard was great. Air conditioning worked well, very comfortable. Very happy with our stay!

Amazing home, perfect location!

This home was perfect! So spacious. Very well stocked with everything you might need. We couldn’t locate an iron and a lovely lady delivered one to us. The location is centrally located between town/Short Sands and the Nubble lighthouse/Dunnes ice cream.We have been spending a weeks holidays in York for the past 20 years and this is by far our favorite home.

This was our second year renting this house in York Beach. It was everything we needed again. Thanks for fixing the hole in the deck. We missed the beach cart and the house wasn’t ready for us at 4pm but these were minor issues. There was plenty of space for my family, the back yard is great, saw a deer again, ate all our meals on the deck and it’s close enough to the beach that this grandma can still walk there. Can’t wait for next summer.

The downstairs bathroom toilet leaked. Was a mess. Luckily the property manager was very responsive to getting it fixed. Parking at the house could have been better. Was up hill.Otherwise we all enjoyed our visit

House is in a great location and was clean. It's very outdated, however. We also did not receive the correct number of bed sheets for our entire party and had to wait until the following day for extra to be delivered. There's no cable or smart TV and the over-the-air channels would not work, so my kids were limited to the selection of 90s Disney movie DVDs on the rainy days that we had.

Great location & house

The property is well maintained and looks exactly like the pictures. Kitchen is well stocked and the WIFI works well. It is walking distance to town and short sand beach, about 5 minutes. Just remember to bring your own bed sheet and towels. Great stay!

Our family enjoyed our stay. The house is excalty how it shows online. Very clean, near the beach and had extra beach chairs and items that you may have forgotten. Great house! We would definitely come back! Thank you!

Very comfortable

We’ve been staying for a week at york beach for 12 years. This was our second favorite house. The location is quiet and close to the beach. It’s so comfortable and the outdoor space is wonderful.

Our York Beach Vacation 2024

Perfect size and location, plenty of indoor and outdoor space for the 5 of us plus when nini and papa visited for the day. The rooms and furniture were immaculately clean, plenty of dish-wear for any need/cooking/baking! Stocked nicely with paper goods (tp, paper towels, napkins etc). Perfect amount of towels and linens! Also had a nice selection of DVDs and board games and extra blankets for cold nights!! We appreciated the beach chairs as well! We loved this home and we hope to be back here again in the future!!

Perfect week at York Beach

We’re seasoned York Beach vacationers for 25 years. This was my grandson’s first visit from California so we were excited to share the experience with him. Everything at the house was perfect. The house was clean, well furnished, liked the linen service, air conditioning in the bedrooms, back deck was awesome for all our meals ( we saw a deer eating apples from the tree),grandson loved the bunk bed, the beach cart and extra chairs was so helpful, ease of checkin, short walk to the beach and we actually finished the 1000 piece puzzle of the Nubble Lighthouse!! Again, a perfect week.

poor cleaning crew

thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the backyard is fantastic with the fire pit. However, did not realize that linens and towels provided meant unmade beds with a big bag on one bed containing sheets and towels for everyone; there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher; open packages of cookies in pantry; partially washed sheets and towels in the washer which I had to finish; a wet rag left in the bathtub; found a barrette and pacifier on the floor in the living room. I could not put trash out since we left Sunday morning but am wondering if they had been put out 3 days before our arrival because 2 of the cans were full; even though instructions said to empty freezer I did not remove all the freezer packs that were in there.

Great house and location

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean with fully stocked kitchen. Bedrooms are small, but serve their purpose. Linens would have been nice, but we were warned ahead of time to bring our own. It was unusually hot during our trip so we were happy we brought extra fans. Downstairs living area is very spacious. Private backyard with firepit and grill. The house is located on a dead end gravel road very close to the ocean. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location!

We loved our time at this home! It is well equipped and perfectly located. We had ample space to be together & have our privacy as needed. Having the covered deck, in the back, was a real luxury - truly extends the living space. The house was very clean and provided everything we needed and more. Additionally, the home’s location is fantastically quiet. Definitely met & exceeded our expectation. Easy walking distance to short sands - and a real short drive to long (you could walk if you do not have much to carry) sands. We are thankful for our time - wonderful memories were made! We were even visited by a deer and a family of turkeys during our time. Such a treat!

Relaxing and convenient!

This property was as-advertised and then some. The yard is nicely landscaped, and ended up being a nice quiet place to relax after a long day at the beach. The covered patio out back was perfect for a couple of nights when thunderstorms rolled through. It let us still enjoy being outside and cooking/eating dinner despite the pouring rain! Seeing a few deer stroll through the yard to snack on the crabapple tree was another unexpected treat. It was a 7 minute walk to short-sands, which saved us $$ in parking fees. Neighbors were quiet and there's very little traffic on the road. The living room is nice and big with plenty of comfy seating for everyone to stretch out and relax. The air conditioning was quiet and cold. Bedrooms were comfortable. Having two full bathrooms was extremely helpful. Overall a very enjoyable experience. We'll be back!

Nice property but a few drawbacks

The house was big enough for 4 adults and 3 kids. Wish we had known the entire backyard wasn’t fenced in, as it appeared in the photos, but I guess that’s on us. Short enough walk/bike ride from short sands. Nice and quiet at night. That said, there were hairs and other debris in the downstairs shower (we never used it because it was gross) upon our arrival. There was a pretty sizable hole in the deck as well, right near the table and chairs, which my kids tripped over several times even though there had apparently been duct tape placed over part of it and we tried covering it with our cooler to remind them. It’s definitely big enough that a kids’ foot could get stuck in it, so that was a pretty big deal for us as we have a 2 year old. There was a paper bag underneath my bed with a receipt for the prior week, clearly showing me that it wasn’t even swept. The house was nice overall, but definitely some drawbacks.
